To what extent are you able to judge/assess at what stage a student is, ie whether they are ready for Gods or indeed how they are doing with each of the neigong components?
It's not for me (or any teacher for that matter) to judge or assess, but rather for each individual to make that decision. Some people just aren't interested in training what is "best for them" and so that could be a barrier to them getting started and getting some benefit (even if it's not the ideal, at least at first). Interests, state of health, past experience, etc are just some of the factors that influence what a person is capable of and willing to do. That said, if a person is just starting out, then I recommend finding the best teacher you can and training whichever qigong/neigong they are offering because you cannot learn the nuance of any art solely online. Unless explicitly stated, I and the other TTCS instructors will always focus on fundamentals within the scope of our courses. (You can see my videos on the circular nature of training to understand how and why this works.) If you can't train live for whatever reasons, then I recommend starting with my Dragon & Tiger Medical Qigong or Taoist Neigong (most comprehensive intro to the Water Method) online programmes because these sets are designed to get you "on the road" with qigong training. That is to say you learn the essential component practices (e.g. weight shifts, various levels of kwa squats, turning, how to get your mind in your body and keep there without becoming tense, establishing a root for safe training, etc) in these formats. These component exercises form the connections and foundation for all more complex neigong and qigong sets like Gods. If you're learning these fundamentals in Gods, you might be doing the movements of Gods, but you won't have actually stepped into the realms of internal practice. As for knowing how well a student is training any given neigong thread, to what degree/level and integrating it within the whole, that is a matter of experience. I've spent 20 years under my teacher Bruce's guidance specifically learning how to "listen" and tune into what's happening inside and outside of a student while preparing prospective teachers for and testing hundreds of them for teacher certification over two decades. Students get a taste of this through partner exercises in the scope of live training. I hope this helps!
Excellent explanation of relationships between Energy Gares, ☰ and earth and 'gods' playing in the clouds. I miss the now gone 30 min nei gong overview you had uo for years, but this focuses on the basics I need so, it is a welcome addition to warer nei gong theory.
These videos are so beneficial to get an idea of how complex this system is. Thank you very much!!!
Excellent video! Thank you, Paul.
Thank you for the clarification 👍.
