  • Merry Christmas to those celebrating! Enjoy my little video that will hopefully make you smile a little. A lot of this was me wanting to show off my awesome new gifts, but also, I wanted to reflect on how wonderful my family is, especially when it comes to being neurodiversity-affirming. Sensory toys are a common gift item around our house, and we have no shortage of rainbows. Also, a lot of the sensory play used as footage in this mini-movie was what I used to power through the overhwelm associated with the holidays; organization, family, noise, lights, fatigue... So maybe you will find yourself doing something similar over the holidays. Enjoy!

    I got a very squishy soft chinchilla plush that is sooo nice to hold and rub my face on, a little knit jellyfish with a neat texture, and while Christmas shopping I got myself one of those reversible octopusses I’ve enjoyed a lot ☺️ Basically a lot of plushies lol, I have a weakness for plushies

    I got my first ever fidget toys and they already make me very happy. I also got the biography of Tom Felton (it's mainly about Harry Potter and that's my special interest)
    I also succeeded in getting my brother hooked on Hamilton, so we have been listening to it on repeat. And listening to Hamilton and singing along is a probably my favoutite way of stimming.

    Where did you actually get these stim toys? I really wanna get some, especially the arm slinky thing you have at 2:37 and a teleidoscope.

    • @SpaceyAces
      @SpaceyAces  Год назад

      Most of them are from local toy stores, or from sensory stores in malls when I am traveling. You may be able to order them off of an online toy store or Amazon, and I know there are plenty of neurodivergent stim toy shop owners on Etsy. If you're looking for the names of certain toys, let me know. I know the arm slinky is called a "flow ring." Hope this helps!

    What are those tiny jelly-ball thingies called? And are those the same kind that you add water and they grow and get more jelly-like?

    • @SpaceyAces
      @SpaceyAces  Год назад +5

      I think they are called “orbies,” and yes, they grow and get jelly-ish when you soak them in water. ❤️
