Great product, received mine yesterday and used it before, during, and after league. Got a better understanding of surface, transition, and affect on motion. Only drawback….seemed like half the center found out I had it and wanted their ball scanned. $5 per scan? Possible ROÍ in a couple days lol

Just got mine today. Can't wait to put this tool to use. Can't wait to see how the ball surface changes each throw.

Thanks Ron for your video! Couple of things, in video when putting plate on it wasn't mentioned that the click we hear is from lining up the arrow on base unit with the middle of the plate plastic pieces. Also, wish that the Surface Scanner v2 would have come with USB-C charging port instead of the USB-A. Very well made unit!

I have had mine for over a year now and it works great. I have had no problems with it. I have one question though. how do you do firmware updates and update the date time?

Just got my scanner and spinner. A couple of questions, how often do you use the calibrate plate? Is it every time it is turned on? If you turn it off briefly and turn it back on does it need to be re-calibrated? I have been getting message saying Stable vs. a reading? What causes that stable message? How long does the button need to be pushed for a scan vs powering on/off?

One other thing, I tried resurfacing my storm dna (2000 a talon grit) using your factory finish recommendation of TruCut 3000 wet on spinner and the readings I’m getting with scanner seem to be almost same prior to sanding and is coming out almost polished vs. sanded/matte. Not what I’m trying to achieve which is 2000 grit.

Update 1: I sanded by hand using 2000 grit TruCut pad dry and with a TruCut conditioner, re-scanned and was measuring around 1000 to 1500 grit. I then used the spinner again 2000 grit TruCut pad with moderate application of TruCut conditioner and re-scanned with scanner was measuring 2000 to 1500 grit which was what I was going for. Not sure if on my first use of spinner with 3000 TruCut pad as recommended by your chart - if I used too much TruCut conditioner as it didn’t seem to change the surface. BTW this is my first time ever using ball spinner. I would also recommend adding a hard copy of scanner chart as I found it on your website and found out Stable was equivalent to 4700 grit reading.
