Yeah, we want more training videos… It’s why we’re here watching the channel 😂 Maybe a video about where you’re looking… the dots, the arrows… no where 😂
Coming from a bowler making the transition from two fingers to a conventional style, yes, please let’s have Episode 2! This was super helpful! Thank you!
Thanks buddy . My first time coming across this channel . Great advice for a noob /chuck and duck bowler Like myself . You have good energy and you aren't making a "training" video just to show off like I have seen many times from other videos. I hope your channel takes off because it helped me greatly today ! Keep up the great work! And goodluck with the young baby you mentioned .
Good pointers there Luis. Though I thought there was some contradicting things at times. Something that caught hard was, why was the 2nd 1 step shot “really good”, you said it was good “because of timing” when did we work on that?
This video right here helps break it down , and you made it more understandable and I’m sure it will help bowlers that wanna improve… looking forward to vid#2
I enjoyed your video, Louis. I'm one that always bowled with a slight curve but mostly straight. So I've been watching videos for the past 3 months on how to throw a hook, as well as the proper techniques from start to finish (aka footwork, body posture & position & releases) but find myself missing a step or two on most throws. Realizing that improving muscle memory through repetitive practicing techniques is essential, as is unlearning bad habits that I'd picked up years ago. Self discipline & learning to be patient when I find the simple practice techniques tedious & boring (such as the ones in this video). There's a reason I'm unable to throw hooks well enough & consistently and it's because I haven't focused enough effort in the pre-bowling warmup practice techniques that you're teaching us. That all changes today & I'm looking forward to a 2nd Video to follow this one. Thank you for keeping it simple when that's just what the doctor ordered.
Can’t wait for the second part! As someone who has been bowling off an on for nearly 20 years and never learned how to throw the fingertip grip, I’m looking to make that next step to evolve past the conventional grip and learn how to hook the ball properly.
I watched this video but didnt do any drills. Last night at league i must have applied something from the video because the track was right by my thumb all night. Has never happened before. So thank you 🙏
Definitely a great video now I was just practicing here at home. My problem is sometimes I don’t try to spend the ball by this try to put some speech/ref behind the shot and I sometimes try too hard and that’s how I gutter that’s part of my inconsistency my friends are trying to tell me the suitcase/shaking hands method, I like their analysis but for my autism and fine motor skills it’s a little challenge the fourth suggestion, professional, you guys talk about is what it’s more about being behind the ball. That’s what I wanna do do you need to slide? Here’s my opinion about that my fear is, I’m afraid someone’s gonna fall and hurt and the proof is in the pudding. I was bowling with one of my uncles. He did slip and fall when he slid onto the lane. He was OK Thankfully. I stopwhen I got to the line for that reason.
I bowl with someone whose never bowled before(like she thought u were supposed to throw the ball...i guess "overhand;" basically fingers first) im working with her to train her a bit and these tips will help. I may just tell her to watch the video before next league night. Keep them coming though, they'll be a great help
Appreciate your video. I bowl straight this helped me understand the technique and drills to learn how to hook. And you did not make it over complicated was nice and simple. Would like see me more videos like this !!
Yep. Loved it. When I first started bowling with a house ball I did this. Then I saw good bowlers spinning the crap outta the ball and I started twisting my hand. Will going back to this make me play more outside bc now I’ll get less hook? Play nova and iQ tour solid.
Excellent video ! ,I tend to get the chicken wing ,my arm cross over . So I need toget my hand under the ball, fingers and thumb point to the the pins . Question for you ,do you keep your fingers under the equater, (center line parallel to floor) or above when released? What about cupping or keep the wrist flat with the forearm ? Thanks for the video !
What are the next drills? I have old school game and looking to get more revs. Drills like these our my go to improve my 170 avg game to the next level. Thanks again.
Thank You for your videos: Yes another video showing more steps would be extremely helpful. I for one appreciate your time and effort to help bowlers to be better and for your ball reviews, again Thank You.
As someone who is looking to relearn how to release properly, I like this video and hope to see part 2. One question, as we are releasing up the back are we relying on the coverstock and core in the ball to provide the hook rather then trying to spin it ourselves?
Good instruction. I am battling a totally inconsistent release. Virtually all videos are shot from behind or from the side. I would appreciate one from down lane. A close up of how the ball comes off your thumb and fingers.
Hi Luis....I love this....I still cant get my hand under the ball....I have bad wrist here and weak...what can I do better if my hand is on the side of the ball? Your "old" friend here.... I'm still trying to improve my game...but I just recovering fro open heart surgery ...
I have not been bowing from the 8th week of league, because of heart problem had surgery going on 3 months I AM GOING TO USE YOUR VIDEO TECHNICH TO START PRACTICING ON MARCH 3RD AND WILL PRACTICE'S ALL SUMMER TO GET READY FOR FALL, BY THE WAY I HAD OPEN HEART SURGERY
Please show more as i am so inconsistent having 140 ave. I bowl on an alley with little oil-- My ball is a pyramid pathogen because it reponds to having less oil performance. I am 78 yr old and LOVE to bowl, Thanks Constance
very helpful to me..tq..not too advance..totally for beginner..good advice..will try that tomorrow with my black widow hybrid 2.0..im a straight bowler with average 200..but to join club, i need to be either hook player or spinnner@some call helicopter...
The video shows you throwing off the back of the ball like a yo yo. But your last 2 shots where you get the curve you are turning your wrist inward to get rotation. It is not a full suit case type throw but you do turn your wrist inward. Can you elaborate on this in your next video. Thanks
One more thing, this is the type of videos that most bowlers are looking for.. (ways to improve) we all love ball reviews but if your not able to throw (roll) the ball the correct way we’re just hurting ourself (scores)
I am 72 years old and I throw 16 pound balls. I take a 5 step approach with virtually no sliding. Two years ago I had a 204 average. Last year I ended with a 199 average, first time under 200 average since 1971. I know the house had to get a different oil.(no choice) I have no problem throwing 16 lb balls. Does new oil make that much difference. Other bowlers are also having issues also. Thanks Dean
I was watching how you did the fingers an hand strait forward an I likecthecyoubexplainingbhowcintoncomfortable release , but question I twist my hand an left handed instead releasing the ball at 12 o’clock like you do I more or less at 2 o’clock would trying the practice still effective like your demonstrating it
hey Luis my bad habits is coming back so I'm doing the down on the knee shots im doing 20 at home and at the alley i wanted to ask if my track is still low do i go to the next step down on the knee with the lefting of the ball thank you for the video
Luis, when you lift the ball off the ground, how do you keep your hand behind the ball/fingers under the equator without excessive grip pressure? Obviously, some grip pressure is necessary, but where should you feel it? I find I have difficulty keeping my hand behind the ball without squeezing, even after having my fit checked. You always hear how you're supposed to keep your arm and wrist muscles relaxed throughout the swing, but how do you do that while simultaneously keeping your hand in the correct position to release the ball?
Yeah, we want more training videos… It’s why we’re here watching the channel 😂 Maybe a video about where you’re looking… the dots, the arrows… no where 😂
Loved your demonstration on staying behind the ball. Add me to the list of wanting to see more.
Let's see episode 2. There can never be too many training videos.
Where can i see the 2nd video?
Nice video
As a new bowler, this perspective (not from a pro) helps me tremendously.
Keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward to more videos.
This video is the best explanation I’ve found on RUclips. Well done keep em coming.
Wow, thanks! I really appreciate that!
@@LuisNapoles where's part 2?
Will definitely watch version 2
That was great. A refresher always helps. I’m working on the same thing myself.
Coming from a bowler making the transition from two fingers to a conventional style, yes, please let’s have Episode 2! This was super helpful! Thank you!
Been bowling for 1 month, thank you this is what I was looking for.
Trying to figure out my own swing - this has been the most thorough explanation. Thank you!!!
glad you liked it! Im constantly working on it!
Yes, please, part 2. I enjoy the instructional videos.

I appreciate the way you break things down and explain the expected result. I would certainly watch a part 2!
Nice Video. Thanks. It would be nice to see the next phases.
Great tutorial! Do more tutorials.

I've recently subscribed as well. Awesome content and would love to see part 2. My track rings are too tight.
I like these videos keep doing them
Really helpful. Struggling to get a good release thumb fully in. Get awesome revs thumb half in but lose a lot of control..
Great video content was great looking forward to the .next one.
I am getting back into the game after many years away. Thank you for making this video 👍
Can’t wait for the second part! As someone who has been bowling off an on for nearly 20 years and never learned how to throw the fingertip grip, I’m looking to make that next step to evolve past the conventional grip and learn how to hook the ball properly.
Appreciate your efforts
Definitely waiting for the next one

Thank you for this video
I watched this video but didnt do any drills. Last night at league i must have applied something from the video because the track was right by my thumb all night. Has never happened before. So thank you 🙏
Thank you so much for the slow and precise motions of how to release the ball.
Yes, please show the follow video.
May God bless you and your family 🙏
You got it!
You presuppose I can get up and down off of my knee that many times. That said, very well explained. Thanks
I’m waiting for the next lesson as well. That one was great.
more educational videos like this, i'm starting to get back to the sport and these videos do help me alot
I like your demonstration on staying behind the ball. Please add me to the list of wanting to see more.

Love the video. I learned some great drills. I am a total newbie. Thank you.
Appreciate your video. I bowl straight this helped me understand the technique and drills to learn how to hook. And you did not make it over complicated was nice and simple. Would like see me more videos like this !!
Really enjoyed the video. I intend to start using the drills today! Thanks!
Wow thank you, I love how you teach this reputation to fix bad habits, please make more videos on the approach, and placement to be more consistent.
Awesome video! If you can't afford to go bowling like that, you can modify the first drill using the ball spinner.
I really like the way you broke it all down, step by step. This is really helpful for me and good drills for me to practice. Thank you
Thank you so much!

You can do it like that as well! Especially the ones from your knees!
Thank You for your videos: Yes another video showing more steps would be extremely helpful. I for one appreciate your time and effort to help bowlers to be better and for your ball reviews, again Thank You.

if the track is still low that means you are moving something when there should be zero wrist movement
