Absolutely brilliant meals, easy to follow and would be a hit at any table. I absolutely loved it when his mother helped him with the cottage pie and told him the truth plus getting him to wash up after himself. Great TV, very entertaining. For the 1st recipe I was going to try and make this so I went online to get all the stuff I needed to make it and I added you know everything in my cart and it was too much money for me to spend on a dinner for just me and 2 others. And that was just the price of the ingredients and vegetables and fruits. Not including the fish because I was getting this somewhere else. Maybe if I get a better job I can do it. It's really not that hard to recognise fresh fish, there is plenty of locals that sell it, for about the same price as the frozen stuff in markets. Watch out for any damaged skin and brown or yellow spots. No cloudiness in the eyes, but bulging clear eyes. Touch it, if it doesn't leave a dent, but bounces back, it's good. Then the smell, if it smells mildly like fish, it's good. If it stinks like fish, it's bad and don't bother with it. (BTW River fish usually has a more muddy smell to it than sea fish, that's why most people prepare them with more herbs and spices) Check the color of the gills. Fresh fish usually have a intensive red color to them, almost like red wine. Old frozen fish is going to have brownish color. I know, it sounds like you need to remember a lot just to buy fresh fish, but you'll get the hang of it after the first two tries and it's a nice step to healthier eating.
