Loving this channel. Having just spent two weeks in hospital with Covid pneumonia, I’ve been watching lots of these videos - so simply narrated and easy to follow. Having a child with an eating disorder (ARFID), I completely lost any enthusiasm for cooking other than to give food as extra calories to my child but watching Gordon make good, simple recipes at home, has really inspired me to be do better and fall in love with creating tasty, family meals again. Every time I watch Gordon, with his speed with "rock n roll" body language, I get tired. But in the end, the food taste yummylicous and tired is gone. and ready to relax and sleep.
You can tell tilli is his little cooker and helper my son mal is my helper my other sons find every reason under the sun to get away and you can see in newer video how much she loves it like her daddy. Here's a man that has a lot of energy to get through life and a great cook and you cannot condemn him for that. So many just shelp through life doing nothing and accomplishing nothing and he has built his empire on a lot of damn harde work and giving his family a very good life, I get tons of good idea's for my cooking adventure and combined with the Western United States way of cooking and the British twist things get very good in my cooking. That is, I use the Mexican recipes for meat and vegies for a lot of zest and pep, and the British for that mild and gentle taste that My family used to use. Grandpa and Grandma are English and Grandma always made those puddings and stuffing's only a British Grandma can make, yum.
My favorite chef! ❤️💕 I can watch him all day cooking and never get tired … not only a great chef but a good father to his kid and I adored how he and his children and his wife’s relationship. Loved them!💕❤️
Followed the pumpkin recipe. Came out great. I scooped it out into a baking dish with cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of sugar and baked again for 25 minutes. Topped it was grated coconut. Not bad at all.
The mulled wine.. I start with caramelising the sugar completely (it takes time), adding 100-150 ml of cold water afterwards (you think you have just ruined your saucepan, but wait, it melts as it warms up), throw in the spices (star anise, cloves, cardamon, cinnamon, lemon and orange zest and simmer for a few minutes. Then add red wine and heat up slowly. It's delicious 😋😋

Fruits for the most part are fairly cheap but also depends on the fruit. Blueberries tend to be more expensive than bananas. Vegetables are the cheapest for sure.
Croissant is basically made of butter. He then adds salmon which is half its weight in fats. For the scrambled eggs he puts a “generous knob of butter”, and then right before they’re done some cream and another large piece of butter. Must be delicious, but if eating like this this doesn’t kill you I don’t know what else does.

Makes me so cross that folks in the US don’t have that access to healthy affordable foods. I know you’ve all had Aldi’s pop up in recent years.
@@LauraBidingCitizen food here is extremely expensive and you,get shit quality too.aldis used to be excellent decades ago but now it aint worth the gas togo. Their srupid double money vack guarentee is also a big fat joke. Luckily i go to discount stores, problem is if i move far away im screwed. The US is literally one of the worst countries, i cant wrap my,head around whypeople come here. Oh thats right free momey and houses and food from our hard earned tax dollars. Also america lives off fat food( add the s for shit ) and junk food.
@@LauraBidingCitizen Depends on location, I live in the suburbs so food prices are fairly low. Small cities are also fairly low. But large cities have expensive food tags. Fruits for the most part are fairly cheap but also depends on the fruit. Blueberries tend to be more expensive than bananas. Vegetables are the cheapest for sure.

Croissant is basically made of butter. He then adds salmon which is half its weight in fats. For the scrambled eggs he puts a “generous knob of butter”, and then right before they’re done some cream and another large piece of butter. Must be delicious, but if eating like this this doesn’t kill you I don’t know what else does.
What a delightful presentation of such scrumptious dishes. How helpful and kind you are as a father--totally a gentle teacher! (How modified you are from some mean publicity showings.) Just loved the marvelous and pretty productions of side dishes to make Christmas heavenly.
