Thank you so much for making this video Patrick. I admire your hard work and dedication from the very beginning. I currently live in Orlando and i started my instagram almost 2 years ago, I had no idea what I was doing, At times I still have no clue. I started my page as a hobby but it quickly became a passion of mine. Now I can’t even sit in the office without thinking what makeup look to do next. I came from nothing, grew up with my mom and my 3 siblings, I would come home and ‘Oh wait, Mom forgot to pay the cable’ or ‘oh wait there really isn’t anything to eat tonight.’ It was tough but I’m grateful for those moment and it’s made me a better person. I strive to be in your position someday but right now I’m making mistakes, I’m going through trial and error and I know someday I’ll look back and think about these moments. I can’t wait to someday be an influencer all I’ve ever wanted is to share my story and inspire others and I will work so so hard to make that happen. But for right now I’ll continue to reach for the STARS! Thank you for being the incredible human being you are and for inspiring this little Florida girl!

Your tips are not only for social media but also in the professional capacity. I work in HR and the different industries I worked for I notice they are small and you NEVER want to burn professional bridges. Especially if you work in a certain profession. In HR you meet others in the same profession but different industries yet we all are in HR (Human Resources) and if you burn a bridge, if you wanted to work at a company, they can say something negative not be your biggest cheerleader. You never know who you meet, they might be your next boss, colleague, or someone you want to do business with.
so never burn bridges bc you never know if they might be your ticket to the next best thing in your life.

I really love this video, I needed those words. Thank you, Patrick! I’m a makeup artist & esthetician & I want to start doing makeup videos long time ago, but I don’t know how to break the ice & do it. I only have my cel phone & my ring light. Usually I overthink a lot about, “what if people don’t like my content, the quality of the videos, how I talk, how I am, etc.” Deep in my heart I know that I just need to be secure of my self & do what I love most, but always is the same. I get in “pause” mode. I’m 27, mom of a little baby, and I feel like life doesn’t stop like I do. I get frustated because I know what I have to do, but I don’t do it. I hope I can begin soon & stop feeling that I’m wasting the opportunity life is giving me.

I love the advice you gave in this video! As a small RUclipsr, it is really easy to focus on not making mistakes such as having the perfect camera, lighting, background, etc. Because we see so many bigger influencers have nicer equipment so some beginners automatically feel like they have to have the same overall quality or they will not be watched, etc. These videos are very reassuring and very inspiring and really helps me to stay motivated and focused :)

I LOVE THE PROCESS!! The reality is, going through the process makes you a more matured person. I remember my teachers pushed me in the 5th grade, I skipped 1 year of my entire primary (4th grade) school year. I didn't feel different , but I never really learned algebra and fractions. I was amazing at 3rd grade math, but not 5th grade. Do you know what the 5th grade teacher said to me? "I thought you were good at math!" Yes!!! I was good at 3rd grade math for god sake..We can never skip the process of growth. There are very important stuff to learn at each level!! Don't skip the line, wait your turn!! GROWTH N SUCCESS COMES AFTER MUCH WORK!!!

Don’t seek a manager! A very reputable manager will find you!!! So many people that are “managers” or agencies will give empty promises. When you do- find one with great work history and has worked with people you wanna be like. Interview them, think about it, see how long the exclusivity period is... and pray. Do NOT jump into things too fast. It can take a wrong turn. Just focus on what you want to do... and it will come to you in the right place and at the right time. ❤️

I loved this video. Let start off first by saying I am a single mother of 4. On top of the fact I'm 47 years old. I'm just getting back into wearing makeup again within the last year. Love your advice! Growing up I was never comfortable with myself I’ve been bullied throughout my entire childhood for being “too skinny” and girls were always mean to me. To start off I’m a person that don’t write comments at all (a real connection between the content of the video and my life spoke to me to comment) but Your video was so helpful. I’m not making a career in the beauty industry but I am trying-to make my mark in finding my self in Forensics (some ppl call it crime scene investigation (CSI) ). the key points / topics you spoke about made so much sense to me, parallel to what I am studying. I really did enjoy 😉 your video. Even tho I’m not a person that puts make up on at all. I love seeing how it’s done ✅ . In my opinion I think this one on one, down to earth 🌍 no extra bells and whistles of making a perfect 👌🏼 contest video, just you being you and Sharing your experiences of your career path should happen every so often. I felt that I connected with you in a personal level. Even tho I still love 😍 your videos that are set up to show off looks 👀.
