Going to be there in July first time back since Covid hit, riding down from Ontario Canada to Maggie Valley for two weeks. The last time we did Maggie Valley we put almost 8000 km in two weeks thanks for the video and memories. Cheers

thanx . im going thru withdrawals, in ny, just got more snow .. ugh 2 more feet. cant ride . listening to that one of a kind goldwing sound is keeping me going. i live for curvy roads . keep on shifting . 4 wheels move the body , two wheels move the soul.

WheelsNotHeels it's beautiful in that area this time of year. We hit it just right!!! I know the cars gotta use the road too. I wanna ride fast and the Mrs wants me to slow down to see things!!! The struggle is real!!!!

I was watching your video where the older guy crashed and thought of Annette Carrion, who died in California in the past couple of days. When I looked up girls crashing I was shocked to see story after story. I guess everything has risks. I hope everyone, guys and gals, have a safe and accident free summer.

I rode the Tail of the Dragon this past August...I thought we have mountain roads here in SW VA but...whew! The tail was something. Also rode around Little Switzerland and all through the NC TN area. Great ride with great friends! Ride safe young man.
So which was YOUR favorite Ed? We made our way on to The Dragon as well after this. I think we have been to The Dragon on 3 different trips. I know it can get crowded, but I do Love it. But 226A is Super Fun as well. I would like to ride it going "up" the mountain the next time!!!!
We actually like the ride the next morning after the Tail. Wish I could remember the road number but I think it was route 80...? I'll see one of the guys tomorrow that rode with us, I'll ask him and let you know. We're riding tomorrow in a benefit ride.

i love riding 226 and hwy 80" the devils whip" . i try to ride it a few times a year.
Johns Wing yes!!! Both great roads. Only road 80 one time. Got stuck behind a car unfortunately when i did 🙄

I just got back and the diamondback was a great ride I was in a 2022 Mazda MX-5 and it felt like it was built for those roads

oh yeah , i saw in the mirror. I have a gimbal that works with the my hero 3+. I am looking for one to work with my YI2 camera .. Gotta look into that.

Windell Poole I needed another run or 2 on this one. Really like to fund the groove on it and kick up the throttle a notch, but then of course, wouldnt enjoy the scenery as well!!!
I love this road, it's a good one! You mean the speck that is Little Switzerland, lol! The dragon does get all the attention but it's hard to find a bad road around there! Stupid cars, not using the pull offs, lol, great ride Mike!
I got stuck this weekend on The Dragon by a little old couple......after we finally crossed over the Bridge....they pulled over!!!

Have to wonder how the Can Am RT-S would do on that road? No complaint on the ride there, Mike. It was, colorful. But I'd like to see you make a similar ride through Yellowstone.
Thomas Nessman you and me both!!! I'd be curious too how a Spyder would handle on such a twisty road!!!! Maybe you can stretch yours out on some curves and let us know!
May be less curves than dragon, but to me it looks like a more beautiful ride. Now mind you, that statement is based solely upon what I can see from a video screen. I have as of yet to ride the both of them in person. . . . . . . . . . . . . but I will ! :-D Thanks for another great vid! I will admit, at first I thought you were going really slow, then realized your speedometer goes up to 140 MPH. lol
It is less "work" to me and YES.....better views while riding. So you get your fill of scenery and of riding the roads hard if you choose to....also...LESS traffic as you can see!!!
LoL....yeah I was riding about all the speed I needed with momma on the back..35-50mph most of the way, including some of the curves!!

Do you happen to know, what settings are you using with your Hero 4 ? Mine come out fuzzy and distorted

Wow! That was a great road. Is it me or does tnis road look narrower than the dragon? I felt like the dragon was a slightly wider road.
Thats a good point....I believe the Dragon is wider and has more "shoulder" in parts as well.

Saint Paul Minnesota,we will be down your way in June. I have only 450 miles on the Wing so far but loving every minute. Saw your video on Clingmans dome and we are going there also.
Count the curves the next time you ride the Dragon and you will only come up with around 248
Yeah that sucked the juice out of it.
