I was blessed to have lived either in Johnson City or Cleveland for some 14 1/2 years, made memories with the wife which I will cherish forever, rode this and many other beautiful mountain roads.
Hermosa naturaleza..... Creación de Dios.... Me supongo que su clima es caliente.... Genial...... Cuando admiró la naturaleza.... Comprendo cuánto nos ama.... Dios...
I will be enjoying lunch at Little Switzerland after a long slab ride from DC, the. I will hit the Diamond Back....then to Hot Springs for another little ride south before heading to Stecoah to set up camp. While at the Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge, I will purchase your maps. Cheers!
Two years ago we were recommended to take this route by some Ohio riders. We were planning on riding RT226 North just to get us closer to home and we would have went right by it if not for the tip. What an awesome ride!!
The diamondback actually includes 226. Together with 226A they loosely resemble a diamond on a map. Hence the name. And yes, it is much better to do it in a clockwise direction. But if you're like me, you like to do every great road in both directions. I also highly recommend having a meal at the Mountain View Inn.
Thanks, for this Video, I gonna make this trip this coming fall. Your maps have been a BIG help to me. I'm from L.A "Lower Alabama" and have used you maps a lot going all over N.C. But, I have not yet rode the Diamond Back. I plan on making that ride this Fall. This past year I have not took a trip due to the Covid, but this Fall I'm gonna make this trip. What's the BEST time of the Fall to make this trip, to see the Colors ?? Thanks
@@americaridesmaps nah man it was actually kinda uniquely cool. I have some humdingers that I can't stand to watch but a couple of them are my best performing videos. lol. Go figure.
But for a 05 Sebring with the top down being a boat of a car it's crazy. I plan to go down it again in a few weeks since it is a hardcore adrenaline run.

Much of 129 South Tail of the Dragon is in North Carolina. The Blue Ridge Parkway runs from Georgia to Virginia.
Also the blue ridge parkway is nc, and va. Not here in ga
