Don Campbellock and the Lockers is one of the founder's of Hip Hop and dance in my opinion. From Europe too Asia their influence has spread. Arcourse?! The legend's never get respect? Especially in this new mellenial age. Those who grew up in the mid 80's and 90's like myself can actually say they are legendary.

A perspective that can only come from having been there. How CAN they know, if they don't know? I crack up, sometimes, when I see what they call "great" nowadays, because, thank GOD, I've lived long enough to have a real perspective.

Their influence was in literally everything that was cool in 70s pop culture. Disco, Mickey J. and 70s Saturday Morning and Afternoon TV owe a lot to this great and very talented group. Agree w/u on T. Basil. 💯. There was a locking dance called "THE CAMELOT". the silver dollar. I once heard some young dancer (in Culver city, ca, circa 2009), the one male, was telling the girls "its NOT pop locking, its popping AND locking-TWO DIFFERENT DANCES". the girls: " yeah, yeah your right...." I spun around and SCHOOLED them. I was shocked, dismayed, saddened- they had their info and dance bass ackward. Sad. Some STILL say "poppin AND locking". Corn balls. But sad b/c THESE trailblazers need their flowers, as they say. I do my lil part to inform-but who am I? Thx. to you for your work and vids. And im sure u know shabadoo passed. My bro knew shabado before he passed, my bro had me rollin, about how high energy he was and A PROUD PR.. ❤❤

Wow these dancers look amazing for their age. Dancing keeps you looking young. Shabadoo is my favourite. He’s so handsome and good looking. I couldn’t even believe he’s up to 65

I remember watching them on a y Saturday Night Live skit when I was little and I thought that they were amazing and they inspired me to come out of being a shy wallflower. I sat down many break dancers in Jr high school...

Good video Swoop! Love the truth and history! I started trying to lock in the early 70's and still bust a move daily! Rerun and Shabadoo were definitely two of my childhood heros! RIP to all of these fallen heros!
