As of today there are only 3 Original members of the Lockers left. Out of 7 we have lost 4.. only Toni Basil, Slim the Robot Bill Williams, and Flukey Luke Leo Williamson remain.. Rerun Fred Berry, Don Campbellock Campbell, Greg Campbellock Jr. Pope, and now the youngest of the Lockers Shabba Doo Aldofo Quinones.. Just the day before he passed, Shabba Doo sent out a video from his sick bed, telling us not to worry, he had been fighting the flu and was feeling much better . He said he had taken the Corona test and it came back negative which he celebrated, and said he had so much left to get done.. Hours later it was said his roommate came home and found him unconscious. No foul play was was said to have happened. No other remarks were made at this time..I am seeing all my Icons and Heros, my Idols of Dance and other Ventures being taken away and I am so sad beyond a breaking heart.. I used to not understand new Technology and did not agree with all the internet and too much info out in the public eye. But now I am THANKFUL THAT THERE ARE ALL THESE VIDEOS AND SUCH OUT THERE. I have been watching Shabba Doo's videos for hours, and now find it a blessing that they are available.. I will truly miss this man.. and will keep Prayers and Blessings around his Family and Friends.. RIP SHABBA DOO MASTER DANCER, GODFATHER OF LOCKING ...

But even tho Don Campbell was locking on Soul Train and taught the dance to many dancers on that show which included Fred Rerun Barry, Greg Campbellock Jr. Pope, Leo Flukey Luke Williamson, Bill Slim the Robot Williams, with the youngest Shabba Doo. Many female dancers on the Train were also locking, learning from Don Campbell Including Shabba Doo's sister, Fawn Quinones, Damita Jo Freema, Jody Watley. Back to Tony GoGo Lewis Foster ,he started his own crew of the GoGo Brothers, and his group was the first to perform as a group in public areas, even before the Lockers were put together by Toni Basil. TONY was used as a alternative dancer with the lockers when needed. In 1985, he moved to Japan and opened a Dance school.. his teaching locking all over the world and Judging at world reknown battles made his name forever as a Master Locker. He has 2 sons , of course who carry on the tradition of Locking and Popping also, the GoGo Bros. Their Sister, who dances also....so thanks for bringing up Tony , but the reason I did not, was its hard to not give out info. On all he has done for the Dance community all over the world....
Being a white boy in the hood I can say that dancing pulled us all together no color just loved what we had. RIP you will be missed but never replaced.

When I was starting out how to pop at the young age, my father said you got to watch "breakin" . He said I can teach tou how to pop, but creativity and the culture would be shown in the movie. And it really did, I was inspired and I practiced everyday and lead up to my first talent show I took in middle school, but also aloud me to form great friendships with people that had the same passion. I recently rewatched Electric Bogaloo with my daughter. She loved the movie BTW. I'm shocked and saddened by his passing, but legends never die.

I'm a 70's baby and I loved him on Soul Train, I would try and imitate those dances....lol I remember when he appeared on What's Happening when they wouldn't let ReRun dance.....lol. I was a big fan of Breaking, Breaking 2Electric Boogaloo, I still have the movie to this day. Just watched Breaking the week of Xmas on my very own DVD. Man. ...I was so saddened by the news of his death, he was so young. He will be forever be missed in my heart but his memory will live forever. Loved him. Such a fine dancer! I knew him back in the day, he danced at many of the clubs I used to go to. So sorry to hear he passed. What a great loss! Thought we might meet again one day.

It’s only now I realise the effect this guy had on my youth and life. Broke sweat and pulled muscles too many times trying to emulate his moves and loved every minute of it. I'm deeply sadden about Shabba Doo. He was my all time favorite dancer as one of the lockers on Soul Train as well. I love to watch him poplock dancing on soul train. I'm so sorry to hear about his passing. Shabba Doo will be surely missed. So sad to hear this heartbreaking news!!! 😥😥😥😥😥

I learned of his passing just yesterday and was so hurt, like he was family. I’m from Chicago, too! His energy was amazing, I love how his mother just packed them up and moved them across the country. I watched Breaking 2 yesterday... love that movie! It’s in Tubi

i know now..what a regret it seems yesterday to have seen the breakin scenes ... with the L.A. waterfront and he and turbo dancing .. when the movie came out it was impressive to see the perfect synchronization between the two of them in the choreography ... thanks Ozone for introducing me to lockin style ..
