Pond looks great only thing I would say is I don’t think you need the 25watt uv as it won’t be doing much with 30000 lph pumping through it 👍

Pond looks really nice and around the filters thanks for the shout more than happy to follow the channel I'm taking it you are pump feed. Have you got a float switch fitted to the pumps if not get one ASAP one joint give anywhere and the pond is empty in less than an hour. If you catch my video this Friday you will find that most useful as well we don't want to see the pond pump itself dry. keep the updates coming and thanks for filming

I don't need one I'm gravity feed and can only lose about 8 inch's before the pumps cut out. I have fitted an alarm all the same video out on that tomorrow on my channel

DevonKoi Pond Thanks for the reply, I will have a look at that. I am pump fed but have my pump sat on a plant pot about 12 inch from the bottom but would like it on the base as I have no bottom drain. Looking forward to seeing your next video 👍

Its that horror when you come down one morning and find just that foot of water left in the pond and its just a matter of time it will happen at some point just ask anyone who has a pump feed setup you wont find many that have not had a huge water loss at some time

Hello buddy 👋🏼, your set up looks fantastic 👏.
The shower looks great, one thing I will say is they are designed as 4 tiers to be tall enough to get enough velocity through gravity to gas off before returning to the pond so maybe a rethink on using the extra tier and possibility raising the filter housing roof.

Well jealous of that flow over your shower. Don't know if you know but the UV 25 is only rated at a max flow rate of 10000 LPH so it won't actually be doing anything at 30000. Looks amazing though. I need a bigger pump now after seeing that lol.

You won't regret fitting the backi shower, but please use decent ceramic media, Sakura, BHM, or the Queni Koi ceramic media and it will serve you well, just subscribed.

Hi, looks great, once you get the media delivered for your Bakki shower it will be really good. Are you planning on using Bio Holme ceramic, Alfagrog or Pumice? You could of course use a combination, water quality will be excellent once it matures, Subscribed. Really informative, thanks for filming and sharing with us 👍

Why not fit a float switch to your pumps if the pipe comes off when your out it will empty your pond in no time at 30000ltrs a min

Might want to think about use filter floss in the top of your shower, it will help reduce the fines going through the shower, but make sure you check the floss doesn’t get blocked.

Hi Dougie, I am feeding the bakki shower directly from a 30000lph pump from evolution aqua which is in the pond at the swallow end, the pump comes with a controller I have it set on 70 speed which is possibly running a flow of 20000lph, I am upgrading to momotaro showers which will be feed from a built in skimmer which I will also be installing to pond which will allow me to have the pump and oase skimmer out the pond, waiting on delivery from absolute koi to install and bring out video, thank you for watching and take care 👍🏻
