Think it’s wrong to think that Water won’t travel by cappillary reaction through the media. Better to pack as much media in an ensure water is spread evenly from the top with a spray bar. The idea of randomly placing media would employ that the media is not as porous as say biohome. Hope this helps.

I got the nano coated long thingies you showed first. Work amazing! They suck up EVERYTHING! I think they're birthing babies, as I've had SEVEN sets of eggs, then fry ever since spring......only ONE FEMALE KOI 😬😳🥴. I Don't understand..... My son has had these 3 koi for 5 years, no babies. Put them in my 10,000 gallon DOG/HUMAN pond, and she's not stopped. I jokingly asked my vet if he could put her on birth control 🥴. Because I have a crapton of beautiful babie Koirhanas...... Hungry lil devil's, all diff sizes, 6" down to newborns, yesterday 😍❤️💕

Morning, I have been watching your videos, which are great by the way. 👍 👍 👍
But I only noticed on this one that you have a retro fitted bottom drain. Does it work well??? As I'm thinking of getting one myself.
My belief is that you are two years ahead of me in the pond world, I moved into the house I'm in now and a small pond was already installed. But, I decided to go bigger, but not to the level you are at. But now I want a half sunk and half brick pond now, and was thinking if installing the retro bottom drain.
Keep up the good work a d the great vids. 👍 👍 👍
