I was thinking about a comparison and couldn't really come up with another QB. I think I've come up with a comparable athlete, though you'll have to stretch your imagination a little bit and go with a different sport...Fred Couples. Both could launch missiles with a slow, almost effortless delivery. They looked artistic...almost lazy. Both were cool under pressure and are Hall of Famers. Your comment reminded of something Chris Carter (who played with Moon in Minnesota) once said. He was talking about how great QBs throw a ball that “communicates” to the receiver what’s ahead of them in terms of defense. For example, a ball thrown way ahead says, “if you run fast enough to catch this, you’ll have a TD since there’s no safety back there,” or “you can take three steps after you catch this, but brace yourself for a hit after that.” He then said of Moon, “ He didn’t just throw a ball that talked to you; he threw a ball that sung to you.”

That he was able to then kick arse in the NFL after, is a huge testament to his ability. IWith slight;y better teams, my gooodness, who knows how many rings he'd have.
Only the idiots that didn't draft him out of college! Because he was a Black QB! Need to watch this! Anyone who watched CFL & NFL Football during the 80's already knew! He had the best long ball of any of the so-called great passers! I'm still pissed about the Chicago Bears not drafting him or even giving him a workout! Any idiots would've seen his unique passing skills! Especially hitting a receiver on the run in full stride! Moving to Houston in the Late 70's I had a front row seat! The Oilers should've won at least two Superbowls! Good passing game! Running the ball now so much! Warren Moon was a Fantastic NFL QB! No matter what the color!
I'm 66 and not really a fan anymore since the nfl became left-wing political but I talk about Warren Moon all the time. I loved watching him play in Houston's run and shoot offense. Watching Warren Moon zip a 60 yard bullet to his receivers that looked as though it took no effort was a thing of beauty. No one else in the league could throw a football like that. If the Oilers had a defense back then they surely would have won multiple SBs with Moon at QB.

He is more like Romo than Lamar Jackson.
A scrambler isn't really a runner.
RC12 scored more rushing TDs and had 1,000+ more rushing yards than Fran in less seasons.
Fran was a passer, Randall was the 1st, 2 way threat.
I mean fran had under 4,000 rushing yards and Randall was closer to 5,000 in less seasons.
This is more than 20% better output on the ground.
Tack on RC12s more TDs than Fran on the ground, in less time, then you have the 1st real 2 way threat in RC12.
THE BEST QB THE GOAT #1 Warren Moon 🌝

Great story!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is my all time favorite quarterback in nfl history

yessir
Great video!
Thanks!
Wow, great documentary
Glad you enjoyed it! We just did one on Randall Cunningham too!
Top 5 QB all time
100%
People don't get "introduced" to NFL HOF. They get "inducted." Aside from that, Moon threw the tightest, prettiest spiral have Ever seen!
he was awesome
and what a lot of people don't know, is he went to Hamilton high school in Los Angeles which is just down the st. from Beverly Hills.
i didnt know that
@@FootballLoreOfficial yup
This guy was at the qb challenge in Hawaii. Everything was paid for at the hotel he stayed at (the Westin at kauai lagoons. Free room free food ect. I dropped off his bags in his room and didn't even get a thank you from him.
Nice guy!!!!
damn it be like that
Yeah a real football player and seen alot thanks utube
thanks
Need more footage
great video
Thanks for the visit
In terms of who threw the most beautiful spiral? I think of Moon, Marino and Elway... I'm also partial to Plunkett for that high arc that dropped right in the breadbasket...
Those are all great choices...I like Randall Cunningham personally.
Its great he got a Superbowl ring. I don't care if it was part of the broadcasting team. Wow, what a player, and you could argue he had his peak years in the CFL. That he was able to then kick arse in the NFL after, is a huge testament to his ability. IWith slight;y better teams, my gooodness, who knows how many rings he'd have.
exactly
Amen
They don’t talk about Terrell Davis much
At RB neither. Dude was top 10 at his position
seriously
He had a short career but great career
Greatest QB of all time
absolutely
🫡🫡🫡To Warren Moon!!!
cheers
Warren Moon was a great QB.
yes he was
Earliest football game memory I have is Warren Moon legit throwing farthest and most beautiful, spiral pass I’ve ever seen.
it was beautiful
Need to put some respect on Randall Cunningham name too
We have a video about him coming out on the 27th
@@FootballLoreOfficial I always say he’s the reason we see running quarterbacks today.
If the Oilers had a defense back then they surely would have won multiple SBs with Moon at QB.
the man can play
Howie Long once called him a "ball throwing machine". Moon kicked ass
He was a machine
Weird title. Warren Moon gets his flowers. He's in the HOF.
got you to click tho
@@FootballLoreOfficial haha you win. Congratulations!
You gotta win bro
yeah if he had a superbowl hes top 3 all time
