Im not gonna upgrade my cpu yet but listening to this beautiful song i was thinking about all those things i couldn't do and those that i did wrong.

@@jurasjuro7220I don’t this cpu anymore but this cpu will not caused any overheating in the vrm or any other parts of the motherboard do not worry. If you can have the ryzen 5 3600 run perfectly fine in your system then this cpu will run fine as well as its just an upgraded version of this cpu. Literally
I only watched this video for a bios updating tutorial and this video really reassured me that everything was gonna be fine. I heard all these horrible motherboard bricking up stories but I have a stable power connection so no worries.
I have a 5700G CPU but the A320 wont soport it without the bios update but the bios wont update without a display and the display wont turn on without a bios update. =)
@@B0x330 had to order a cheap vga pcie x1 video card for $20 off amazon. Try to save some money and get things bundled but overspend in the end... Story of my life!

Hello friend, I have a problem. I bought a Ryzen 5 5500 to upgrade and the pc doesn't show video. Before installing the processor, I had already updated the BIOS to receive the new processor. On the manufacturer's website it says that the motherboard model ASUS PRIME A520MA has support for the 5000 series. My current processor is a Ryzen 3 3200G and my video card is a GTX 1060.

we have an ASUS Prime A320M-R that is compatible with a Ryzen 7 5700X according to the ASUS website and we managed to update to BIOS to ver. 5606 (USB stick method via BIOS menu). but now when we want to upgrade to ver. 5862 we get the error message "selected file is not a proper BIOS", no matter if we use the renaming file or not. we also redownloaded the file and tried it again (it's the original one from the ASUS website). not sure what to do now, we're a bit lost now. any ideas? the vendor where we bought our PC isn't really helpful and says we should just redownload the file and put it on the USB stick again which we already did. a jump to the BIOS versions 6xxxx also doesn't work, same error message. now I'm wondering if the OLD CPU isn't compatible with the BIOS ver. 5862 and therefore doesn't accept the update - is that possible? the old CPU is a AMD A10-9700. it's super annoying to be stuck like this ;) thanks for any ideas you have :)
nvm, meanwhile we got an answer by ASUS, they confirmed my theory ;) - the old CPU only works until ver. 5606, we cannot upgrade to a higher BIOS ver. with this one. so we need a THIRD CPU that already works with ver. 5606 and is able to upgrade to a higher version like 5862 or higher. after upgrading from 5606 to a higher version with the THIRD CPU we can put in the Ryzen 7 5700X (and send the third CPU back)

I'm thinking of applying a ryzen 5 5600x or a ryzen 7 5800x, will either of these be useable. And if so will there be issues in terms of power getting to the CPU and the motherboard bottlenecking the CPU, and if it does how much performance is lost compared to lower tier cpus.
No issues , you can run these cpu's on a320. Only negligible performance hit will happen

i updated my asus prime b350 plus to bios 6203 ( 15-8-2023 ) so also can i use a ryzen 5000 witthe last bios? Since BIOS 6042 I can use the Ryzen 5000, but is it okay if I don't install that one and use the last one?

check your motherboard manual. format usb in fat32 mode and should use 4gb model(most cases)

yo i forgot to post update - the pc would'nt even boot because it's like you don't have CPU (power goes to CPU first and then it shares) so I plugged my old ryzen 1600f to quickly update BIOS (it was rly fast like 30 min job) after that update i switched my CPU to 5600x and it worked like a charm, thank you@@OdinHardware

If you buy latest a320 I.e recently manufactured batch, it will have the latest bios pre-installed which readily supports 5000 series ryzen

In the video they’re using 7-zip which is a popular exctraction tool for extracting files. I personally use it, I find it faster than the standard windows extract tool.

@@generalstep I've bought another motherboard. MSI B450M Mortar Max. And it took a while to force 5500 to work on that one as well. I changed a lot of BIOSes and after the fifth one, it showed me POST. Seems it still has not proper support with A320. Maybe it changed, but I'm not sure.
