Bassmaster Open on Lake Sam Rayburn - October 2022 - Day 1

October, 2022 present the final Bassmaster Open of the year and it's being held on Lake Sam Rayburn out of Jasper, Texas. It's the fall and the fishing is always tough as the fish are very nomadic and typically extremely smart from the entire season of tournaments beating down on them.
I'm wanting to end the season on a high note with a strong finish and some money to put in the bank. I've got a couple of different patterns going which include some shallow water flipping and some offshore Lowrance Active Target fish that are suspended on balls of bait.

What are the pool noodles used for in your livewell?

I use them when I’m up north bc it protects the smallmouth from jumping up into the metal latch of the livewell lids.
