- Day 1 on Sam Rayburn is here. I got a good little starting hole that has a bunch of fish on it. I just hope they are all the right size. I plan on fishing that most of the morning and then trying to hunt down a few bigs in the afternoon. I might even run into a 9 pounder.

Grew up not too far from Sam Rayburn and worked around it a lot. Never fished it. Had no idea there were bass in there that big. Good job on that big dummy!

I think it was 1990 when Mike Scott put the rule in where you couldn't fish the launch, or takeoff area, during take offs. Because I had a limit, in 88 & 89, in the NC. Championship Tourneys'. Simi Pro Am, back seat, non-boater, both years, on my way to 2 state championship bids ! P-ville ! LOL

Can someone explain to me all the ticky tack penalties dc gets called for all of the time? It that just this specific federation or what?
If the fish touches the boat at all they get a 2 minute penalty in which they cannot fish, as far as I know it is just MLF that does that.

If a fish touches carpet it takes some of the fishes protective slime coat off therefore better for the resource.
