    Enjoyed the video! Those bass schooling up are a blast to catch. The guy who ran close to you must be from Galveston! He follows me all the time when I'm on a good bite. LOL! Those type of guys drive me nuts and I shouldn't let them bother me so much!

      Thanks bud! Yes they are!
      😂😂😂😂 probably so! Man I don’t get it. They have literally miles and miles to go around but nope they go right in front of your boat. One of these days they’ll meet a 3/4oz trap or that sexy dog and it’s not gonna be pretty. They drive me crazy too.

    I can't wait to get back on Rayburn. October is when I start going back. I've been chasing flounder, specks and reds over the summer because it's convenient for our hot days. 20 minutes of driving to sabine lake compared to 2 hours to Rayburn lol 3 minutes if I launch at Port Neches Park. But man I can't wait to get the swimbaits out and hit Rayburn

      Heck yeah!!!! Usually me too! I literally just put the last accessory on the new aluminum boat so hopefully next weekend or weekend after next I’ll take it to the bay. Oh I’m 100% with you there! It’s so nice to travel 20 minutes vs almost 2 hours 😂. I’ll be chunking one on my next trip to see if I can get anything. Hopefully they’ll eat it during the big bass splash!

    I was pretty close to you Sunday morning . I was anywhere from Julie’s cove to fire tower . New comer myself , only been fishing a couple years . You did better than me Sunday morning ! Lol

      Nice! All those areas are good. What saved my day was the birds showing me where the bass were. During the later summer the birds will usually give away the good school bass. Welcome to the lake and fishing! Don’t get discouraged when you have tough days out there. I have them myself. You’ll see that in the next video when I post it. I fished from basically Mill Creek to Needmore point. That end of the lake isn’t all that good unless there is grass or the water is in the bushes.

      O yes it happens that’s for sure . I’ve been at the lake for a while , have a place at plum ridge just never bass fished until
      Recently! Ive watch lots of your videos . Thanks for all the info .

      @@justinconner8830 oh nice! My place is around mill creek but I’d say like 90% of the time I’m from 5 fingers to the 147 bridge. That’s the best area of the lake in my opinion. It also has the best Hydrillia too!
      Good deal! I definitely appreciate that. I give honest non biased information unlike most folks up there. I like us outsiders to out fish the locals 😂

    You ever have problems fishing straight braid on your spooks? What’s your advice? I seem to tangle a lot but dislike braid to leader.

    • @lanceduff
      @lanceduff  2 года назад +1

      Yes I do and i recently found a pretty good solution from a fishing Buddy. Basically you get a McDonald’s straw cut an inch off it. Then place the 1” piece of straw on your line and then tie your spook on. It keeps it basically tangle free from that first hook and doesn’t effect the action of the bait. Im the same way. Id rather throw straight braid. I’ll have that video on the channel soon.

      Fish your strengths. I’m a shallow guy so I’m gonna fish shallow and focus on obvious cover and thick grass.

      @@lanceduff You ever use that lure in the shallow stuff? Five fingers to 147 is pretty much where I stick to also. I've never thought to look for birds out there, definitely will start keeping my eye out though

    • @lanceduff
      @lanceduff  Год назад

      @mattshorette oh yes absolutely!!!!! It’s deadly in the very very very backs of pockets. Especially in 5 fingers. I like the coves across from the boat ramp! Yeah definitely keep a look for those birds working. They’ll give away the bass fast! It’s mainly a summer and early fall deal but you can find them in the winter as well under them.
