Hey bubba if fishing was easy they wouldn't have tournaments because everyone would win. You gave it ago and this time the lake won. Keep your head up and may the sun be at your back and the wind in your face.

As someone who has casually fished for a long time but just started to get serious about bass fishing, it's such a great reminder that even the seasoned vets struggle at times. When you landed the first and thought you might be on to something, and then nothing... story of my life.

I like that you posted even if you didn’t slay it on the water. Too often do RUclipsrs only post when they have amazing days. That sets most people up for disappointment. Not only that, you kept your spirits high and didn’t give up. You analyzed what happened that day instead of saying “I don’t know what went wrong”. Learning from a day on the water is critical to improvement. Good work 👍🏻

I like this idea for a series. It's great to see your process and strategies for breaking down a lake. My favorite part was when you mentioned how pinch points are obvious, yet great places to search for bass. I'm not fortunate enough to own a bass boat, so I do a lot of bank fishing. I have been a subscriber for over a year now. Love your content. I think I've learned more from your videos than many of the others I watch. You really do pass on valuable info. I especially liked your bass movement study or audits. Packed with data and facts. Answered so many thoughts and questions that I've had. Your can't believe how your failure in this video inspired me. Not because you failed but because it made me feel like I'm not the only one out here that swings and misses. You get way more time on the water than a regular Joe like me. It shows me that we're in the same boat (pun intended) and that encourages me to not give up, to keep getting out there, keep learning, keep challenging myself. Many times we only see the successes in videos, not the not the fails. Your vids show all of the good and not so good. Keep bringing your experiences to us. Great video. I sent this to a friend of mine who is emphatic about purchasing livescope to prove to him that even someone with extensive experience with the device isn't always going to load the boat and crush competition. Many factors are at play in the world of bass fishing, not just electronics. Much like my less than fruitful fishing days, it's always a learning experience. Being that I struggle a little too often with new bodies of water, the best part of this video for me was that it reassured to see that even someone with as much fishing knowledge as you isn't always shredding it every single experience. Just started fishing last year and I'd like to say I'm self-taught, but that wouldn't be true because your videos have been guiding me along the way. I cannot express how much I appreciate your sharing the lake break down thought process. Your teaching style and explanations are great. I also appreciate you are not completely focused or reliant upon your electronics. You were using all the tools available which is a great example to all beginner/intermediate bass anglers such as myself. Probably the most useful thing I gain from experts is how quickly they will move on when fishing is slow. I see people running banks all day in the same locations week after week regardless of the time of year and I see people patrolling and sitting on the "community off shore hot spots". I am hoping to one day to put it all together where I can go beyond the local knowledge and find fish is less well known areas of the lake through a process of elimination combined with educated approximation on location and depth while using electronics to locate structure, cover, bait and fish. Although this day was not an active bite it is nice to know that even the experts have a slow day from time to time. Your channel is a must see for me.

My favorite part was gaining knowledge on breaking down a body of water. As a beginner angler, I need more info like this. I really enjoy your videos and have become a better angler because of them. Thank you!

First just wanted to say I always appreciate your videos and find them very informative. I am particularly new to spring Bass fishing so the thing I actually found most helpful was right at the beginning, but basically all the information about how air temperatures and also water temperatures effect the basses behavior and then showing the tools you use to gather this information! Gives me a good way to look at spots to check out nearby!

What a great video. What made it great for me is that i have old school skills to find fish. Just a striker 4 nothing fancy and get jealous of people that have great boats and equipment. It show me that old school way with all the equipment doesn't always produce fish. You rely still on temp. Visual. Barometric Preasure . Water color, time of year, and fishing knowledge to get the job done along with your equipment. Makes me feel more confident that i am not doing anything wrong. Thanks for showing that video. Fishing is truly fishing. Love your videos

I watch pretty much every video you put out. I like that you just do you. Don’t try and copy stuff. Good story teller and provide great teaching. I like the overall realism of it and that you just share from experience. Thank you

My favorite part is how you hold your composure with how rough of a day it is. Everyone has there's good days and bad days and you showed even a RUclipsr can shake it off and move on. Keep up the good work and great videos.

The knowledge you pass on is the best part of your videos. You are thorough. I'm definitely going to use the techniques in the tournaments I'm in!

Loved the postive attitude, "this is fishing". There're good days and bad days, just have to keep getting ourselves out there.

Thanks for this real time lesson. I liked learning how to break down the lake to have an initial plan and then adjusting to what the lake was offering. This will help me with learning the lake I primarily fish better.

My favorite part was the entire video, you took us viewers along even though it was a new lake and there was a chance that you wouldn't have a great day...that takes courage and commitment to your viewers and showing them how to break down a new lake and improve their fishing even though you weren't having a great day. Big kudos to you, most RUclipsr's only show when they are successful and catching giants...it took guts to show us when you had an off day and explained that it isn't all glory and big fish, sometimes despite everything you try the fish just aren't biting and you have a bad day and that happens whether you're a weekend warrior or a seasoned pro like you. Keep the videos coming Ty!!!

I always appreciate your insight on how to plot the lake to find where the bass are hiding, especially on a lake you have never fished before. Too bad you didn't make your goal, but I think one viewer will be very happy you didn't! Thanks for the video Tyler! Keep'em coming!

I really appreciate the lake breakdown analysis. We all have those tough days on the water. I hit lakes all the time that I have never fished before and swing and miss more times then landing a ton of bass. Great video as always.

I feel your pain, but know this. I and many other people learned from this video. Please continue this series. Breaking down new water is the toughest part of fishing. Much more difficult than going to your home lake you have fished a hundred times. Keep grinding Tyler!!!

My favorite part of this video is the fact that you failed to reach your goal but made it and let it realistic. In my opinion television and other RUclipsr’s are starting to ruin the real expectations of fishing - catching on every cast, or catching 50lb bags, etc. Thanks for keeping it real.
