Awe man, I’m sorry that happened to you. I admire your attitude about the situation and am glad that you see the blessing in it. The good Lord definitely protected you 😊. Thank you for all the great videos.
That saying is true alot of the time but you showed a great attitude to have and were thanking the right person that it wasn't worse, and the fishing was good too!!
So true when it rains it pours. I have noticed that when I back up to a bank in my kayak and cast out ahead and reel back I get some pretty good size bass. I look at myself as a floating log. Thanks for the tips.
LOL. I feel your pain. I took a break for a cool drink and a quick fishing video. I had to laugh at the grand finale. I sit here working on one truck with rear axle bearings out, the 1st back up lost the tranny earlier in the week and the 2nd back up had one of the front half shaft blow up. LMAO. Truly, when it rains it pours. Love your videos, keep 'em coming.
Well, good job for focusing on the positives in that type of situation. As they say, it could always be worse. I hate that you missed out on the tournament, I was looking forward to the outcome. Did you find out how much weight it took to win that tournament? Looking forward to the next video. 👍🏻🎣🇺🇸
Still a great vid....always informative....always learn something new. Feel bad for you not making the tournament, but happy for you that you were close to home when things went south. Hang in there brother, theres always tomorrow!
Good to hear that you found the problem at such a convenient time and place (God works in mysterious ways!) Enjoy your channel Tyler and appreciate all the tips and help I get from the videos. Btw, I picked up a hat,h shirt ,and gloves a couple weeks ago and they are super quality and comfort !
Down here in south Louisiana, it's nice to catch one channel cat so you have something to eat from your bass fishing. The walleye came through to get snacked on.
Berlin is one of the top lakes to go to for water sports in my area. Tubing skii wake/knee boarding barefoot. Salt Fork farther south is the same idk if that effects anything? I fish from the bank on smaller lakes rivers
Seems like everything happens at once. Hope you're able to get it going again soon. Had a bent axle on mine that unfortunately took me a long time to get replaced. Luckily it was a warranty job.
Thank GOD that happened near home. Berlin can be tough to figure out. Look on the good side, you have more time to Practice at Berlin for the Next one. Things happen in 3's. Air conditioner, brakes trailer axle. Should be good to go for a while? Just think what that fish dinner cost ya? Keep casting.
Hey Tyler, all things being equal you were very lucky. Better in a parking lot opposed to on the interstate running 70 MPH.Could of been very ugly for you and your boat and other drivers. Good to have powers from above on overwatch. See you on the water soon.
I don't think i could've kept it together as well as you did. But every was fixable. I thoroughly enjoy the lake break series, please keep them coming.
Was really hoping to see how you did on my home lake, but glad the axle didn't go while you were traveling north. I did learn a few things watching the video though.
Yikes, man! Glad it happened close to home. Sounds like the run I’ve had the last month. My tow vehicle broke down after Memorial Day. Went 3 hours to West Harbor, fished all day, then drove home. Tuesday morning I went to start my vehicle and the timing belt broke and the motor was toast. 🤦🏼♂️
Just curious. When you go to another state to pre fish and fish a tournament do you have to get a nonresident temporary license or is that covered under the tournament entry fee or does the tournament have an exemption for out of state anglers.
That really sucks Ty, but as you said, better it happened there than many miles North East. I know hindsight is always 20/20, but maybe next time take a tent & stay at the lake a couple of days. Haven't been there in 40+ years, but Berlin used to have a really nice campgrounds & probably still does. 😊 Hoping your mechanical bad luck is over for now.
glad you are ok brother. i had that happen to me last year, luckily on my Military base, near my house at the gas station. my whole rear axle is 1 year newer. God bless Tandem Axles
Well Ty not an ideal conclusion but you learned some things. First on a new body of water then about the joys of vehicle and boat maintenance. Some things you just can't plan for. The silver lining is the trailer frame and wheels gave out a mile from the house. Hang in there brother 🙏
That's weird. I wouldn't expect that to happen on bass boat trailer. I seen it happen when too much weight is put on a kayak trailer. Most leaf springs should last to 100,00 thousand miles, but it goes to show anything can happen with a bass boat. All of us have things happen to us when we go fishing, but we love to fish and just deal with it.
What was the name of the crank bait you were using. Can you provide the link?. Btw amazing videos, i have learn alot about fishing thanks to your videos.
Dang that sucks brother. But at least nothing was destroyed and no one was hurt. That is worth the $300 entry. Better luck next time and thanks for the entertaining videos and info.
I was a little surprised that you weren't at the smash fest up on Erie the weekend after this, but I guess this might be part of the reason why. Hope everything got back together fine.
Too bad you didn't make it to the tournament but like you said, at least it happened close to home. I think you would have had a decent chance at the tournament with the way you broke down the lake. Bet that walleye made a good dinner.
Bummer. But nice walleye! Seems bad things come in bunches at times. Next time you get that big follow on a glide bait, take a tip from the musky anglers and figure eight, maybe numerous times. Speed up on the corners.
it's my understanding when you get followers at the boat it means you aren't fishing it fast enough. So when you real fast back to your boat for the next cast thats when they come alive; food for thought!
How many pounds did it take to win the tourney? Did the winner use the strategy you thought would work? It would interesting to know if your hypotheis would have worked.
It is what it is. On the bright side, it happened close to home. It would have been 10 times worse 130 miles away. Still an entertaining video. Get em next time. 🤙
When it rains it pours sometimes, ha, you just said the same thing as I finished ty[ping this, I appreciate you and hope you got it all fixed up by now freind. Dale
The same thing happened to me about a week ago the good Lord was looking after us also fished a private lake and my u bolts on my back axle came loose thankfully we was not going down the road
Don't know how that happened to your axle but shallow from low water boat ramps always scare me. You back up and fall off the end of the boat ramp because of low water and when you pull out your axle hangs on the end of the boat ramp and pulls it loose from the frame. Sorry that happened to you.
My spare tire came off earlier in the week on the freeway. It must have hit a u bolt and busted it up. Then when I turned in the parking lot there was enough tension to jump the u bolt off of the leaf
You already had that smallie want your bait...why the hell would you toss it back in and potential catch/spook that fish during prefishing. You want to be a source of techniques, and that's not good practice.
i sure wish more fishermen would be more considerate when releasing their catch. Most take as little time as possible just to get back in the water.. I see fish caught multiple times with horrible conditions for self preservation. Total lack of respect for the well being for the fish . Please remember we are blessed with multiple species of wild game and fish. Please be a steward in your hunting and fishing outings.
Check out fishing gear at rebrand.ly/FinnFishing
You need some fishing gear for us women
Glad your OK man and it didn't happen when you were cruising to the lake. Fix it and keep em coming!! Glad to see you posted!!
I'm glad you made it home safe. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.

living for the lake breaks man thank you for doing these
The more stuff you got, the more stuff is gonna happen. Been there, done that. Life goes on.

Well bad things happen in 3’s. And that’s 3, so it’s over. And we all know what BOAT stands for “Break Out Another Thousand” 😁👍👍
Yup, luckily it wasn’t that bad to repair

I enjoyed the practice, Hope things get Better. That's why you save for a rainy day. Keep your chin up!
Damn! I was dying to see tournament day. Great practice rounds and a citation walleye to boot!
Seems like everything happens at once. Hope you're able to get it going again soon. Had a bent axle on mine that unfortunately took me a long time to get replaced. Luckily it was a warranty job.
Ugh….like you said it could have been a lot worse!! Glad you made it back home safely….things HAVE TO pick up from here!! 🙏🍻
Hey man I really appreciate you, keep up the good work!
You should do a rod strength test video with different rods and companies like you did with the line video!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Also how do you find out about tournament events and how much it is to enter etc, etc
Thank GOD that happened near home. Berlin can be tough to figure out. Look on the good side, you have more time to Practice at Berlin for the Next one.

@@TheFishdoctor1952 why was this comment necessary?
@@NStone90 For the reason I stated. Were you offended?
What trolling motor are you running?

One of those....bad luck but actually good luck!! Hang in there 💪🏻
Damage the trolling motor leaving it down while running big motor?

Lake break is my favorite series. 🔥🎣
Have you ever fished Alum creek or hoover reservoir? I have been struggling to find bass. Crappie everywhere.
Alum creek is my home lake. My favorite lake in ohio
@@BassFishingHQ Wow it is the only lake I fish since. I don't know where else to go. I just walk around the lake till i find a nice spot.
SUPER FUN VIDEO. I love to watch Tyler fish. Too bad he didn’t make it to the tournament. I think he would’ve done well.
I actually found Finn fishing gear before I found this channel and it's some great gear.

Great stuff Ty!!!!!! My question is you are free fishing for a derby you taught us in an earlier video not to crack your Bass???
Correct, but I didn’t feel as if I was. I was skipping over a lot of stuff in areas that I thought would produce a bass
You eating the anchovies was the best. And yes I agree how do people eat that stuff and enjoy it lol
What was the little crank bait you used?
Yeah baby, the KGB in Bone, I love that bait. I have a few colors, but that Bone color is special!
Glad that happened to you close to home instead of at the lake. Good luck on the next 1.

I feel you. Yesterday I was floating a river in my kayak and got flipped in a rapids. I lost my rod and my top water box.
Glad you made home safe.
What ark rod u flipping with?
All tournaments should outlaw the use of electric, sonar, and visual viewfinder technology.
Electric? Sounds like an Amish tournament…but that would probably be keep what you catch also..
Maybe just more "basic" equipment. Like not having all of the technologies or only allow, down/side and mapping
Caught a 7lb2oz largemouth on that bone Chad Shad yesterday. Such a killer bait.
I was a little surprised that you weren't at the smash fest up on Erie the weekend after this, but I guess this might be part of the reason why. Hope everything got back together fine.

Love this series
What kind of tourney u fishing with a 2 day practice?
Sorry that happened ! Thanks for amazing content !
Great quality realistic video

Add some 4xl and 5xl to your apparel line of shirts and increase your sales
That really Sucks! But we all been there dude!
That's a nice walleye. I knew it was 6lb just looking at it, my PB is just over 9lb.
Walleye.. great eating!
