I always felt that the Stoner63 was an underrated gun, hell it's one of my ALL-TIME favorite CoD guns, up there with the AK, M-16A4 from MW2 (with holo sight) and R-870 MCS just to name a few. It felt like a man's Famas with the firing sound (one of my FAVORITE firing sounds of a CoD gun), but is balanced out by the LMG attributes and no Dual Mags or Silencer. It wasn't exactly a pretty gun, but it got the job done through just sheer brute force. I have a pretty absurd theory about this gem of a gun; I suspect that it was supposed to be an AR at first, some of the AR attributes (the way the CaC character holds it like an AR, the ADS time, the mag size, the design of the gun (more AR than LMG)). But due to either the possibility of it being OP as an AR, or the fact that they needed one last LMG, they changed it to an LMG and changed some of the handling attributes to be that of an LMG, but still kept some of the AR attributes. Making it a sort of AR/LMG hybrid. The IR sight was probably for the mission Rebirth with the Nova 6 Gas where you can't see shit without it.
I think they knew what they where doing. In real life the stoner was supposed to be as interchangable hybrid of ar/lmg. So the devs fit it right in as intended
The Red Dot Sight gives you greater peripherals, and the Reflex Sight helps you focus more. Whichever you prefer. Plus, I've had a lot of fun using an AUG with Dual Mags and Sleight of Hand. Lightning reloads.
This gun is actually one of my more preferred weapons. I normally suck at compensating for recoil (hence why I dont use the Famas), but this gun I can. Kinda goes against my run and gun ways though. So I don't use it all that often...

Heres my best class with the stoner: Extended mags -Lightweight -Slieght of Hand -(what ever suites your fancy) Use this in Search and Destroy, lightweight will help you get the the other team quicker, and scavenger isn't needed since you don't need as mush ammo in S&D. So try it.

Personally I use the Stoner with ext. mags and Hardened, you don't need to reload as much and you can use it like an LMG. The irons are.... meh, but I don't think they're garbage.
I remember when Black ops launched everyone was using the stoner(even more prominent then the famas now), then after a month it became a ghost gun with a few experimental users. It's former users moved onto the Famas (for AR users), and M60 (for LMG users) I still consider the M60 the best LMG do to massive belt size and 2 hit kill at most fighting ranges.
Going to be honest, I've used the Famas quite a bit for my objective base class. But after trying it out with the stoner 63, I can honestly say I found a new love. I think the famas and galil love was really brought on by a few higher up COD commentators.
@chainsawninja3 They are very similar, but the recoil profile of the FAMAS is what you could say much more manageable. The FAMAS simply goes High-right, while the AUG goes a bit everywhere

Actually, the Stoner 63a is a litteral Light Machine gun. It also has no Assault Rifle version. The Stoner is an LMG, but it was made to be able to use both Beltfed and Magfed Bullets. Just like the RPK and HK LMGs in this game can be both Beltfed and Magfed.
my favorite gun in this game, its the only thing keeping me playing since bo took out stopping power i want a gun that will put down guys not a pea shooter that spits outs bbs.
Definitely the best weapon in the game. My kill death ration has gone up from 1.17 using the Commando with extended mags to 3.13 using this with the same.
and btw why not use the stoner with extended mags steady aim pro, lightweight and tactical mask pro.. i think is the best combination for an aggressive play style and should do well also in long range combat @xxRagingAmishxx
@kylewalczak23 I love COD because of the diversity and rpg elements in the create-a-class set-up. When you have a gun which takes away from that, it strikes a nerve on my end. I like changing up my playstyle and mindset for each gun. Keeps the game fresh and new. If everyone's just using the famas (and a lot of people do), something's wrong.

If this thing had better iron sights, I'd be spamming the daylight out of this weapon. For me, Hardened Pro + Extended Mags is a good choice: it brings the penetrating power back on par, flinch is reduced, and we have a large mag.
Just use a red dot, sleight of hand makes ext mags uneccesary. People need to quit thinking getting used to crappy irons is going to make them do better when you're going to be doing the exact same no matter what you use. Attachments don't dictate shit, your skill does. Don't like the sights? Use a red dot, simple.
It's like the AUG H BAR from MW2, except it doesn't have the stoping power option, or a grip. Still, it's my favorite. Now if only it came with rapid fire...wait, then it would be the true God gun. One can dream, right?
O all mighty amish the reason the stonner has a 30 round mag and assault rifle ads speed is because that is the assault rifle version not the lmg version hope this helps.
if i could use the stoner63 acog scope with sleight of hand and steady aim in the next game id be so happy. especially if the weapon proficiencies are in it. i wouldn't mind if they aren't since i can control it and the famas recoil but having kick would help or a grip. hopefully it will be in the next game, idc if they reduce is powers like by adding drop off = a 3-4 hit kill and like 800 rpm and slightly more recoil but it keeps assault rifle ADS and gets a bigger mag+ new clear iron sights!
The Iron Sight for the Stone-63 is great. Putting the red dot sight is a waste of an attachment slot. Extended Mag is the best attachment for the Stoner 63.

The irons are clean enough, but to make them more bearable and reduce the recoil (which can be a grievance), try burst firing. You’ll also waste less ammo, as the stoner has a 3 hit kill and it’ll be surprisingly accurate.
No it's not, then again irons are personal preference so there isn't a right or wrong answer, i don't personally like them. The red dot is NOT a waste since it helps at range too, even good irons are inferior to a red dot. Plus with SOH you really don't need ext mags, though warlord is a good option since with scavenger and warlord pro you can spam the hell out of your lethals and tacticals and replenish them. I will admit though the gun looks cooler without a sight because of the rail on it, that's the only thing i hate about putting a red dot on it is it makes it look less cool.
If you burst fire this weapon the ammo will go a long way. This is a great gun, but you can't rush too well with it. Play to its strengths and this gun will shred.
Another reason the Stoner is rare is that it's a classified gun, people don't want to pay 8000 CoD points to buy it, plus another 1000/2000 CoD points for an attachment whereas they can pay 2k for the Famas plus another 1000 for dual mags.
Cod points aren't hard to get lmao. Also extended mags are better on the famas since even with the extra mags you still run out quick meaning you'll need scavenger anyways, although the dot is best. Depends on map size really.
the stoner is the most used lmg in the game (no problem with that). in mw2, the AUG was the most used lmg. the most used lmgs are the ones that relate to assault rifles the most.
@xxRagingAmishxx Also, because the famas is so widely used and is quite powerful, you are practically forced to play with either the famas, or one of the few other weapons that can stand up to the famas. This limits you to a few weapons if you want to maintain a positive K/D. That sucks. I want to be able to use all guns, and still pwn, no matter what gun I'm against...
i have to say i prefer the hk21 over the stoner because of its range handling but the stoners fire rate makes it better at close mid so they are kinda equal :1
I really love the Stoner. But I use a different set-up than you Amish. I like using this gun with Scavenger and Hardened (which should've been mentioned as a perk) because I got a lot of wallbang kills using it like this with Extended Mags as well, to compensate for the reload time. The penetration power this gun gets really helps, especially if people run inside for cover. You can literally clean the house using Hardened :).

I don't even have this game anymore (traded it in a month after release), and yet I still watch your videos.

I almost always use a red dot sight on this gun. I really like the extended mags though. How are these two warlorded? Would you reccomend it?

I use this BEAST in my created class called, "supressive fire" in cod black ops declassified. It's my go to class to deter naders and spammers.

I use warlord just find cover to reload the stoner isn't a rush weapon anyway so it's not even needed
