I find that many of the people who spend lots of time speaking loudly about narcissists in their past who have harmed them often struggle with their own fair share of unhealthy narcissism. Not everyone ... But certainly many.

As with anything else, people remember the great examples and the awful examples of a thing or type of people in this case, not the vast majority who are O.K.
One pain-in-the-a** Vegan ruins it for the rest of them and meat eaters AND vegetarians will not forget. I eat healthy but when I'm visiting American Friends and am invited for Thanksgiving, I'm not pissing and moaning that they're serving turkey and ham as the main courses. Duh.
There's still potatoes, stuffing-as long as it doesn't have meat or meat broth, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, various veggies, salad, all those deserts. MY dietary preferences shouldn't mean that you and others can't live lives as they see fit. (There's also a lot of liquor at those Thanksgiving Meals-at least the ones I've been at-so pound a couple of big mugs of beer. They have a lot of carbs and that'll help you forget your outrage that people are eating meat.)
