Looking into this myself. Repair costs were 1,200 dollars but parts are 300 I really want to save 900. Question on e brake. So positive on top or bottom doesn't matter? One way moves in? one way moves out? I just wanna make sure I don't burn anything up! Should I also disconnect the main battery in the car? Or no need?

you can but Volvo recommend new torx screws and rubber seal.....
