There are about 5 other cops there with him. Do you think that they didn't turn on their body cam either?

I doubt he didn't have it on, he lied and they deleted the video, they do it all the times which is why bodycams should not have off or mute buttons, and the video should be streamed to a secure cloud server NOT their possession. they have proven they cannot be trusted with it.

I’ve spoken to 3 current police officers about this case. All 3 agree the body cam issue will lead to a vacating of the charges and if he wishes to pursue civil options, he will win.
That’s logical. But if he does, yeah!!!! But then what? Any compensation will come from taxpayers, including all those hoping he goes ahead.
What an embarrassment for Louisville.
Do you mean the $12 million settlement, the $7.5 million settlement, the $600k settlement? The U.S. Dept. of Justice beating the Louisville PD like a rented mule? Google it. If being embarrassed bothered them they would have cleaned up their act 20 years ago and stopped being a clown show.

Cops lying, imagine my surprise. Good police behavior should be commended and bad police behavior should be condemned and punished. If I'm the attorney on any of the defendants who have this officer as a witness, I'm definitely keeping this incident in mind.

Amazing the types defending a seemingly overzealous cop when it's a white guy. Also amazing you see the suspect, despite being wrongly detained it seems, is acting like a civilized human and there is no freakout with screaming nor any supposed lack of oxygen during the handcuffing portion of the process. And like magic there is no violence.

The issue is about the arrest and the felony charges. An officer who would concoct something like this that is potentially life-altering to the other person because of his ego cannot be a police officer. The ranking officers who are standing behind these charges in order to try to use them as leverage to make this all go away, must also be fired. The DA who at this point has to know that these charges are bogus who is also willing to use them as leverage to make this go away needs to lose his job as well. These are "public servants." They act as if they are "public masters." This must stop. This sort of thing is all too common. The reason it is common is that the system protects these people.
It is at least as important or more important that the consequences of this go all the way up the chain. If they do not, the higher ups have no reason to hold officers accountable.

Body cams get turned off when a cop knows he's about to do something illegal. They should get immediate suspension if it happens prior to an incident.
Remember that there is many more than just that one cop there. No other cop stepped up and stopped this cop. This is not just one bad apple. And they have body cam footage, they just don't want us to see it.

Of course the entire story sounded sooo wrong right from the beginning. NO body cam. A story that made no sense. What you have is an officer who simply over reacted. And officer who refused to listen to the person. And then an officer who made up an story with NO body cam to support it. And think of this at the end all those other officers in the area. NO BODY CAM from ANY of them showing discussions or the arrest as well. Amazing levels of utter incompetence.

This happens everyday in America. The policeman - who was enforcing his feelings as usual - over reacted and may have actually committed a crime by hitting his car, then claims a non-existent crime happened to not only criminalize the victim, but cover his own potentially criminal behavior. I think people would be shocked how common this is. Cops frequently make false claims to "teach people a lesson", because they don't like the person or their politics, or simply to cover for a mistake or violation they themselves committed.
Thanks for showing this. Great to have video which can either support or not support a particular narrative. Understand that the officer might not have his body cam on because is not expecting any issues but then don't lie about what actually did happen. Don't see anyone getting dragged here at all.

I don’t know about Kentucky laws, however, in Washington State, police can not be charged with perjury for lying 🤥 in court. They are presumed innocent until proven guilty!

Witnesses have said that the police had on yellow rain jackets and the witnesses couldn't tell if they were police or golf course security. There was also a statement made that the police officer told Scheffler that he was a police officer just before he was taken out of his car. Was that the first time that he identified himself as a police officer? I think there was a lot of confusion happening during those moments.
And if you look at his vehicle he was proceeding slowly with his BRAKES ON most of the time.
A bunch of cops lying about the incident and a corrupt cop with LMPD. They buried the last mistake by the Louisville Police Department called Brianna Taylor . I wonder if he was doing donuts at the police department when he got back to the station.
If they weren't directing traffic with a coffee in one hand and a donut in the other, maybe the pedestrian would not have been hit.

I grew up in NYC and most cops were power hungry. They would flash their badge to get their family into a movie house for free. I remember working on 49th St and Broadway in 2000 or so. An old Russian woman had a coffee/donut/bagel cart. The coffees were $1 for a large. I would be on line behind 3 or 4 of NY's Finest. They would all get a cup and give the woman a dollar bill. She would give them a cup of coffeee and........ four quarters. Supreme Beggary!

Something tells me that cop KNEW he was being a dick, which is why the body cam was not in use.
As much as I support Scottie and want this to be dropped, you don't see all what may have occurred on the two videos. So don't say you know exactly what took place. I believe most of it was blown out of proportion by the arresting officer. It will be argued in court so we will wait and see.

This all got out control real quick because on one over zealous officer who should be reprimanded to the fullest extent of what ever laws they have for this if he is found to have broken any, if that means losing his badge then so be it. This type of officer I believe make life difficult for all the others who do things the right way, I am not speaking as a member of law enforcement just as someone who is Latino and has had positive interactions with the majority of officers and hope they all officers and civilians make it home safe at the end of the day. We just need to be respectful to each other is not hard.
