happy weekend everyone! I've been a bit MIA because life's been busy lately but thank you for being here & if you have any productivity tips, please share it below! ❤
What is the name of the company you work for?❤
This for the tips, really need these as exam session is approaching, can't wait to get those over with so I have more time to make RUclips content
It’s funny… I’ve heard all of these tips before. I’ve even read some of them directly. I might even have implemented a few of them, but the way you presented these as a group and with your specific examples and experience was so helpful! So happy that you’ve been able to discover all of this and thank you, thank you thank you for sharing it.
it is always nice to have this reminded enhanced by someones personal experience
that is also why I love making my own RUclips content combining tips and advice with personal experience
I feel like they really help me personally so I hope to help as many as possible
@@oxanadcI just subscribed, excited to see what you do more of in the future:)
@@abbytheredwolf174 you just made my week
@@oxanadc I turned my notifications on so I hope to see you pop up soon😊 also I’m happy my comment made your day. I hope to start a channel again soon with me and my pup and just mine and his life, since I personally love both types of content. ♥️

i really hate thay bedrotting is becoming an Internet term, its really not what people online make it seem to be. I have a depressive disorder, and when I have episodes I bedrot pretty hard and its not just me not wanting to get out of bed... in my last episode i watched damn near every single episode of brooklyn 99 and rick and morty in a week. I didn't take a shower, or brush my teeth or hair then entire time, i physically could not bring myself to get out of bed longer than just heating up food in microwave, and even then, i only really ate once day. I literally felt like Gregor from the metamorphosis, its not the same as just laying in bed cus i dont have the energy to do my assignments. The Internet normalizing the missuse of the term bedrotting is similar to me as the Internet normalizing the term Intrusive thought being used interchangeably with the term Impulsive thought. I wish online culture qould move away from this, and start actually acknowledging the things about mental illness that can't be romanticized without trying to take away from the gross or disturbing parts from them.
I kind of relate to this. These days I do stay in bed for extended periods, but manage to get out right before I'm late for important things, or to complete important tasks. But once in the past I had a really severe episode where I kept screaming at myself to get out of bed and I couldn't, I would literally cry myself to sleep and dread waking up the next morning knowing I wouldn't be able to do anything. I scheduled therapy sessions and would literally miss them, scheduled group studies as a kind of buddy system for staying accountable and would miss those too. I didn't realize these weren't all just varying levels of bed rot (and the creator of this video may not know this either, so definitely no hate to her). In a way though, I'm glad the concept was popularized, because I'm hearing more on how to tackle some instances of not wanting to do things. Of course, where it calls for it, medication is the best option lol, not everything is mild enough that it can be solved by watching a youtube video.
loved this in bite sized bits! also just want to add that there are actually no “bad” foods. as someone who’s really struggled with disordered eating and seeing foods as “bad”, i think a healhier term is “less nutritionally dense”! :) just food for thought hehe 😊
woah that’s actually so nice and thoughtful of google to put the healthy foods at eye level/up top and even going as far as frosting the bottom half of the door im shocked
The guest lecturer piece was a very valuable part of this video. Thank you for bringing in his insights on this subject.
Loved this, especially your explanation on the good-busy versus bad-busy! The guest lecturer was purr-ticularly inspiring~
One tip that's worked for me (specifically, as someone with ADHD): Prep your meal components in advance and/or clean and cut up nourishing snacks like fruits and veggies when you bring your groceries home! It's SO much easier to grab a snack and go about your day, and it takes a lot of the mental energy and time out of the equation when you're making dinners (e.g., throwing together cooked proteins, veggies, and carbs and nuking them in the microwave versus having to make eeeeeverything from scratch).
@@0wlyssa as someone with ADHD meal prepping is super helpful when I remember to do it 😅
I loved sharing how I try to do it with my own RUclips channel, and as a college student it also save me a lot of extra time
RUclips has really kept me accountable to making sure I meal prep lately so it's been super fun and time saving
I love this!! I’ve been slumped for weeks and keep trying to push myself to be productive. I’m glad that i know someone also related to what i feel🥲 thanks for sharing sarah!!❤
drinking my morning coffee while watching this. happy weekend Sarah!
I've watched a variety of video about motivation, but THIS video is so refreshing. The tips for me was so new and useful. Thank you ❤
productive Sarah at its finest and Happy Easter as well! ❤
Sarah Posted = Good Day. Happy Easter!!
You editing is wonderful, your thumbnail caught my attention and of course I've heard just 30% of your tips before but learnt a whole lot. Thank you💕 gonna experiment with all tips
Thank you for this video. I'm going to try to incorporate such tips......I, too, am a night person. And remember, tomorrow can be a new beginning! Thank you Sarah!
this was so soothing! thanks for making a digestible, calm, motivational video
This video is actually so practical and helpful! Thank you!
Love ur vibe girlll
Good busy and Bad busy was the best thing I’ve heard all day 👌🏾
Thank you for sharing these tips! I especially found super helpful the task stacking and having a second space! The task stacking i probably do already though i've never been conscious of it but i do not have another "space" other than my home (and my humble desk), i wonder if that's why i feel so drained sometime 😅
Great video! For anyone interested reading about the “second space” mentioned, they’re more commonly called “third places” in sociology! Meaning a place of community and leisure away from 1st places (homes) and 2nd places (work)
Thank you professor Pan 🙌🏽 I look forward to your next lesson 🤓
Hi Sarah, Love your videos. You are just real. Just keep doing what you are doing. It's your life you can do whatever you want, thanks for bringing us along for the ride :)
Loved it! I good love to hear more about good and bad busy and extreme hustle culture. I feel there is a healthy productivity movement right now and I'd like to learn more about it 😊
I agree, actually I am planning on doing a RUclips video about it, hopefully gonna upload it in the next couple of weeks
Thanks! I really enjoyed 😊
Location stacking was interesting to hear since I feel that moving to another location for something, even if it takes time to commute there, helps me to actually get out of bed and do it. Like I could study at home or the nearest library but commuting further away gives me motivation to study => I'm more productive when I travel.
im the same way, but i think the location stacking idea is more about having multiple plans/ tasks in one day. so if i had plans to study & hang out with a friend but i know i want to study some place a bit further, i could ask my friend if they’d like to meet me in that city after so i don’t spend more time commuting back for our plans. that might be a poor example but i think it’s just about being more efficient w your time. since going out the way helps you be productive, you should continue to do so
Love the intro 😆❤
i love your hair!
OKAY INTRO 👏👏👏
Really great video, thanks for the tips
Thank you for new vlog❤❤❤
me watching this while rotting in bed l o l
lol same🥲
Much needed video
Thank you, dear🩵
Acabo de encontrar tu contenido y me encanta, muchas gracias por los tips
Your videos are inspiring
Happy Easter!
Thank you for the video
7:30 the only thing I worry ab that is the workout affecting sleep but idk if that’d matter if ur sleep hygiene is in check
love love love
You are a inspiration for me. With english 'class' and the career. Thanks for share with us your professional life and your life vision. XO from Brazil =D
first time commenter, but maybe "sit down with sarah" ?! I've been watching you for well over a year and this is my first time commenting on a video 🥲
Love the intro & yes to more sit down chatty vids 🥹 (also you are a trooper for surviving 3 social events a day as your max I can barley get through 1 lmao)
hi! loved the video and aspiring software engineer here! for your laptop, i found a little foldable stand that helped me a lot! i got it on shein for 7$CAD that way i won't hurt my back more. hope this helps^^
What is your skincare routine? Your skin looks so glowy and well rested!
New sub!! Have you had your feet tested for dr. Scholl insoles? I had mine done at my local CVS - there’s different sizes based on your weight and if you’re flat footed etc. (I’m a CF 230). my back pain relief was INSTANT, I was so amazed. This is my first video to see of yours so apologies if you already have good shoes.
If you're going to always sit down for the majority of the video you could always call the series Sitting with Sarah
I’m like the only person that hated Atomic Habits lol. Great vid! Good tips/ideas 😊
it is actually a book I've been meaning to read, what is it that you dont like I would love to know cause I normally hear such positive reviews
I was actually planning on doing a RUclips video about the most common self improvement books so I would love to get to know ur perspective
i tried reading it but it feels like a shallow psychology book. maybe it's because i already knew the concepts discussed and some theories were not used correctly. better to read an actual psychology book
@@isebalee1671 uhh interesting, what theories ???
it got exponentially harder to listen to your words when the kitty started cleaning in the background - my brain can only focus on info or cuteness, bot seems impossible XD
just the video i needed, thank you
💯💯💯
lol i work at google and have never thought about the frosted glass hiding the soda..
❤
Saraaah 😃
I expected you to say 3 social things a week but you said a DAY!
It’s so funny, video editing being a bad busy was something I was just thinking about today! Trying to learn how to get into a better routine this year and be productive with my time so this video was super helpful and engaging! 🤎
Omg the cat😭😭😭😭
What I need to know is how you keep your white couch clean 😅😂
Off topic but what mic are you using?
I have a audio book of Atomic Habits
6:30
no because i work at google too but i beeline to the bottom cabinets for the snacks lOL
Hey Sarah because of this video you are now my big sister. Sorry I don't make the rules
You 're soo nice 🩵✨️
I am a junior software engineer and really struggle with imposter syndrome, do you have experience with not feeling confident in your work and maybe make a talking video about how to handle this?
I struggle with imposter syndrome too, that is something I actually talk about in my latest RUclips video that I uploaded
maybe you will find some of the tips helpful, they are not engineer specific related but I think they can still be useful for you
He is fine he such has an atitude
Girl I first saw this video as I got sicker than I have ever been and rotting in bed 🥹 like noo it’s not on purpose I swear 😭
Cute cat
that intro took me out 🤣
WHAT DO YOU MEAN I WAS SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SEE YOU?
like my biggest issue is that I actually do wake up early the issue is that I stay in bed for 2 more hours doing nothing???!
lol I feel you
the only thing that breaks that routine is when I have early morning classes
smth that I find that helps is having breakfast prep so I look forward to something to get me out of bed
or I also try to use the time to edit for my RUclips videos
I like Apple chips
Mam make a video on your income and expenses as a software engineer
Why do you blur your feet?
WHY DO YOU THINK?!
u should call it “sit-downs with sarah” 😁🤍
