I love this, I have so many family members in Chicago and being a St. Louis native, travelling there was always fun to visit them. The food and the city is beautiful. I loved sitting down by Lake shore Drive where there was a great festival going on. The music is amazing and crosses ties with St. Louis. This is popping👑🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🌟✨🌟✨🌟 Great memories. Chicago people love Chicago and wouldn't want to grow up anywhere else, we just hate the bad rep that we get and the lack of care for the people that's coming from the top down. Investing in the youth is really the key.
@@michealknight2739 actually it’s New York but on another note, not all Chicago people want to be in Chicago so I do have to disagree with the comment. Okay with growing up here though.
I love my Chicago I wish I could go back to the days where chips was 25 cent, kids was jumping rope and we could walk around the corner to the snowball stand without thinking about being shot still love my city though❤️💕🙌🏽

Right. Like of course there are going to be bad areas, but that’s like in any city. It’s unfortunate that people jump to the conclusion that Chicago is bad because there is so much more to it. My home ❤️
I agree I love Chicago it’s more than bad the media just shows that I be having the time of my life everywhere there’s more neighborhoods than the south side
🤦🏽♂️ The Eastside is a part of the Southside it’s called the Eastside is just called that because it’s located southeast. You got different parts of the Southside like the Lowend, the hundreds, Englewood/Back of the Yards, Gresham, Eastside, etc
I grew up in the NYC area(North Jersey), but I lived in Chicago for two years and it became home right away. I loved the culture and I adopted it as my home. Great city!
You can't complain about Chicago being known for violence when drill music highlights of violence and glorifies violence music that's just stupid to me I don't think she heard but should have been on there representing Chicago he's one of the main proponents and perpetuated the negative stereotypes of Chicago I'm sick of my culture being associated with stupidity
Herbs link sent me here & im not disappointed. learned so much from watching this. you hear bad things, but Chicago has so much beauty & culture, id love to visit. My husband has family there definitely on my list now. ❤️
It was fun but scary !! So many things to do but u have to be cautious all the damn time ! I moved to other states they ask me why I walk so fast ??? That’s what we do in Chicago ! Gotta hurry up and get to where u are going !
Have you ever visited? Seriously, it is an absolutely beautiful city. That’s not to say we don’t have a lot to over come but the city is definitely a vibe 🔥.
Wow , he came to mind most recently and I don’t really follow him like that so I pray he using his influence to make some changes Black Death isn’t pretty even though Chicago Can be Pretty Pretty Sad & Pretty Ugly at times . Everywhere has its problems but we as black people need to bind together as God would want us all to come together. United we stand but Divided We All Fall Down my prayer for us (All ) to walk in love & use or God given gifts & talents unto God we can ❤️.
Southside Chicago here… Chicago is such a unique city that’s mixed like no other city. It’s like always in between with no extremes that stands out. You have nature in the middle of the urban corners and downtown. It’s Northern city but a has a Southern flow, even the music definitely resembles it. Gospel music was always founded here in the Chi!
I’m not from Chicago, I talked to a female from Chicago and she always had so many negatives about me. I’m nice, romantic, respectful and she called me corny and said she was iffy about being with me.
@@realdeal8303 the old stroger/county is now a huge luxury hotel is was gutted and remodeled 2 years ago the new hospital building is behind it it’s been there for a little over 20 years.
I was born in cook county hospital too, in the 80s🙋♀ They're right, that particular building was tore down, but Stroger is apart of the Cook County Health System and that area is still considered the Medical District. It used to be a lot of crime in that area, its cleaned up a bit but still of course one of the busiest parts of town all day!
LET's CUT THIS EASTSIDE NONSENSE OUT. I'm 51 years old. I was born and raised in Chicago. All my life it has been known that Chicago DOES NOT have an eastside. That is because Chicago's sides of town are gridded from the heart of Chicago which is the intersection of State and Madison streets. State Street is zero west and zero east while Madison Street is zero north and zero south. From that intersection is how you arrive at all sides of the City of Chicago. The intersection of State and Madison lies within downtown Chicago. East of downtown Chicago and east of the heart of Chicago there is a huge lake called Lake Michigan. This is why Chicago DOES NOT HAVE AN EASTSIDE. East of the heart of Chicago is all part of downtown Chicago, and east of downtown Chicago is Lake Michigan. NOT HAVING A EASTSIDE MAKES Chicago unique. That part of Chicago that people nowadays are calling "the eastside" is in all honesty part of the southside of Chicago. People just need to accept that the southside is big as hell.
One thing I noticed about Chicago in comparison to NYC episode is the idea of black as an overall experience not limited to things such as Nationality Or Preferences bc those things no doubt are apart of what being black is but it just isn’t used to separate from “Black” Identity in this episode like how it did in the New York Episode
I love the sound of gunfire in the morning. If your a spontaneous and adventurous person, Chicago is for you. You might get mugged. Shot, or scolded by Beetlejuice...you never know. 🤣😂🤣😂
John H. Johnson started Ebony/Jet magazines in Chicago. He is definitely an urban legend. Chicago's black middle class represents urban legends.

People who aren’t from Chicago always overlook the good things in this City. They judge us based on the crime rates and homelessness.
Yep. Them big things!!! Lol!
That’s a sensible thing to judge by.
Many people are afraid ; too bad because there obviously is tremendous good too. Thanks for sharing!!
