I am 50 now back years ago when I was 15 ETC came to my town in Camden SC to the balloon classic ..
My brother had been hospitalized for a broken neck
After the show ETC came to sign autographs I never will forget I told this man about my brother he signed a picture of himself telling my brother best wishes and get well soon
And to this day I still have it..
Anyone who thinks that I am making this up I will show you
Rip ETC
Much love thanks for the music,,
I just found out about Earls passing. How sad. Every time one of our old country legends dies we are more separated from the true roots of country music. The majority of singers in this genre today all sound like factory made pop songs. The natural torch and twang is gone. No more will we hear songs like Where Grass Won't Grow or Ring of Fire. The days of Stand By Your Man and The Gambler are gone. Willie is the last of the legends still giving us real country music. How sad.
I saw him in person in Augusta, Ga stood in front of him at the stage as he sung all the songs that I loved. Got an autograph picture T-shirt and his smile... I still listen to him....he is unforgettable 🙏
Jerry from texas, followed your career since smoky mountain memories.im thankful I got to see you live and meet you .love your music. Play a good one for the Lord. God bless you Earl.
Earl Thomas was my cousin through my maternal grandpa. He was a great singer.RIP Earl Thomas Conley.
What an amazing and versatile voice his was. He could make you jump around with a rockabilly "Somewhere Between Right And Wrong" or "Under Control", or move you to tears with profound words and beautiful arrangements like "Crowd Around The Corner" and "Too Many Times." In the decade of the 1980s he was the best....and it's not even close. RIP ETC.
Sorry too hear of His passing He was a great song writer.Wish he would have been recognized sooner for his talent.Nashville dropped the ball.On this very talented song writer and unique singer
E.T.C. Real country icon. Troubadour in Heaven. RIP. 💔
Miss his great voice the man cannot be replaced , someone broke the mold I'm just glad we are fortunate enought to have his recordings ,wish I hadn't missed so much in the past.
GROWING UP IN THE 80'S AS A KID I HEARD EVERY ONE OF HIS SONGS
AND LOVED HIS MUSIC. STILL LISTEN TO IT 35 YEARS LATER.

He is the best country singer/songwriter from that era of music. Would you like to go out sometime and find a place to dance to his music and remember? I bet he would approve.

Once in a blue moon someone wonderful comes along and that was you ETC. you are singing with the angels now and we will miss your beautiful voice. You are truly loved
He never was recognized as the huge overly blessed talent he was because as I heard him say once, “well the music comes first to me, and as long as God can use me to put out great music and to make people feel it, well that’s all I care about”. A very humble man with a great sense of humor and a big heart. He didn’t need awards, or to be “the greatest” anything, unlike most of those others who came through about the same time he did, we won’t mention names barf brooks, but Earl was a way better vocalists and had greater range with his voice than all of the others, and these kids today have never heard of him. Sad.
I understand that this talented musician also drew and painted at a pretty high level... RIP, renaissance man.
Yes rest in peace we always love you and miss you and the rest of my Family and Friends love y'all for ever and ever AMEN
