I was born in 81’ and I had a dysfunctional home life but it was still a great childhood! Stayed outside from morning til night. Played “Kick the Bottle” and drank from the water hose. Laid in the grass with the dogs and made mud pies. Rode our bikes all day long. Ate good food too at grandmas! We respected our elders and loved one another. We were also much more active back then! I feel sorry for my children because the internet is their everything. It’s my own fault but I had no clue what damage it could do when I handed them PlayStations and iPhones. I was the last person in our immediate family of five to get a smart phone or Facebook. When I did, my friends said, “Welcome to the 21st Century”. I used to spend a lot more time with my husband and children before I had an iPhone. What does a parent do when they’ve allowed their kids to have phones and social media so young but 10-13-19 years later they see the negative impact? I feel like I can’t take their stuff away now but I REALLY need to! I feel like it could cause more harm than good at this point to take their electronics. My older two kids understand my concerns and my 13 yr old would respectfully accept my decision to not let her have smartphones or social media. She’s a great child. There's an old saying, "You never see a motorcycle parked outside a psychiatrist's office." That being said, I was truly blessed to have a wife like this. Lost her in January after nearly forty years of marriage after a long illness. Took care of her as long as I could then hospital, nursing home, and hospice. In sickness and in health, for better or worse are more than just words. Worked at a country music station in the mid eighties part time and played lots of this music. Since she passed this is the only music I'm listening to. ETC was great. Till death do us part doesn't mean it's over - I just have to wait a little while until I see her again.
Great song, i remember when this song was first released on CMT, country music television many many years ago. We alled that tv channel because we had videos that we was able to watch our favorite songs being played. Thank you all of CMT who worked to put the music on tv for all the fans of country music. I can say I’m blessed with a loving wife I have done her wrong in so many ways she never complains about anything she has been there when I had nothing to offer her but our love she always tells me as long as we have each other nothing else matters we have been together since 3-13-1998 a lot of things has changed since then we’re happy than ever love you baby face
You two sound a lot like my parents. They're both in their upper 80s now and been married for 67 years. My dad put her through hell in the early years. She dealt with so much more than anyone should ever have to. Nine children, many corrections, and many years later, they act like 2 teenagers in love. Fortunately, he has spent the last 40 years doing all he could to make it up to her. That kind of commitment is so very rare these days. Your wife sounds like that caliber of a woman. RARE in todays world. God bless you both and good luck.
Your wife sounds like me. I love my husband but like Earl says she hates how she loves me sometimes. I do at times but I wouldn't trade my husband for nothing. Just wish he would quit getting so mad at every little thing. I know I thought of leaving but I'm not that type I just keep hanging on when anyone else would have. I just now learn how to go along when he doesn't give in.
I think this song means . Most of the time , she is correct and I am incorrect . I refuse to give in , she goes along always by my side while sitting home alone . I will never understand what makes her stay when anyone else would have left long ago . However , occasionally , I would do something right , making her happy . I have the ability to make her laugh make her cry , even though she sometimes despises the way she loves me . She craves affection and longs for lover's touch , only feeling loved when we are . I will question why she loves me so deeply , knowing that no matter what I do , it may never be enough . Once in awhile , I get it right and make her feel incredible , but those moments are rare . This song conveys the rarity of finding someone who gives you countless chances and loves you so much , truly making it special when you succeed in making them happy . Once In A Blue Moon
I was lucky enough to buy a tascam SX-1 recording engine that belonged to Earl. It has many unreleased songs of his as well as demo stuff he worked on. Also the song for his greatest hits album was done on it! I still have the machine with his work

And VH1 for our rock music videos also.
Love Earl Thomas, one of the best
WOW!! When a woman loves a REAL MAN!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I agree!! Beautiful video!

I am blessed. Don't know why my wife loves me. I hardly ever do the right thing or say the right thing. But the one time it just feels right!
I'm right with ya. Keep plugging on Will.

I went to Laughlin Nevada and he was playing at the casino when this was #1. He saw me in the Casino and gave me and my friend front row tickets. After the show we took a walk along the river walkway and he sang it to me again. Pretty awesome. RIP
Rip Thomas is a Legend Kim and I pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days, and I hope God bless you to have a great day today, So where are you originally from? I'm from Overbrook 🌺🌺🌺
Damn I love it when I come across these great timeless tunes.
You are blessed and have a good woman. Not too many out there these days who's in it for the long haul.
@@libbysmith6731 Don't waste your life Libby - you deserve so much better.

God bless you, Libby. You won't regret it. Jesus can work miracles in our lives and change people. Hang in there and pray. 🙏🥰💐

RIP ETC your music helped me mend my broken heart many times over the past 30 years.....
Me too sings the truth
This is real country!
I do love this song, but my husband would be wearing that coffee😊
Hello Kim 👋 how are you ?
Applaud 👏 your reply. You could write a country song ez ! ❤
I was lucky enough to buy a tascam SX-1 recording engine that belonged to Earl. It has many unreleased songs of his as well as demo stuff he worked on. Also the song for his greatest hits album was done on it! I still have the machine with his work
