Hey man, nice video. Just a tip, you should remove more links of the inner side of the clasp, this way the clasp stands closer of your thumb and the watch keeps balance on your wrist. The inner side/ thumb side of the bracelet should be smaller than the outside. Sorry the poor english, not my main language. Cheers.
Good tutorial, but it is good practice if removing multiple links to remove them from both sides of the bracelet. This will mean that the clasp remains as central as possible on the back of your wrist. If taking out 3 links, I'd remove 2 from one side, and 1 from the other...
Thank you. My new solar gshock is slightly different with the pins but I figured it out with your help. It only has the side holes on the 2 of the pins closest to the clasp so it took a minute to figure out why mine didn't have holes on all the links like yours. Nice looking watch by the way.
How did you figure out how to configure it? Mine is one where it just has the holes on the closest to the connector. Haven’t screwed with it yet but just noticed it @AaronGravesthegravesmeister
Real good video Bro..!! Thanks so very much. Saved me a trip to the jewelry store. I have a pretty expensive Casio G-Shock watch here and I sure did not wish to screw the band up >> 🙂
Thanks for the video, needed some clarification before I messed with the quick adjustment. -potential tip for other viewers, I dont know if this applies to everyone but I know with my purchase I was notified that the warranty will cover adjustments, just bring in the casio warranty booklet. -disclaimer, I still find this video useful, just sharing info.
I had to remove 4 links to get the band on my watch properly sized. I did not have a pin-punch tool small enough to fit the pin holes; I had to use a paperclip, bent to the proper shape. And NOTE: On one side of the band the holes are slightly recessed, while the pin is flush on the other side. You want to press from the RECESSED side. Also NOTE: One end of the pin is "fatter" than the other. When you re-insert the pin make sure that you insert the slender end of the pin first, then press until the other end is flush with the watchband link.
I found out that my G-Shock GMW-B5000 is a knock-off. The cost of a real one is $500. Mine cost less than $80. There is a video on RUclips that explains how to tell the difference, which I did not see until after I got my fake. ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=fake+casio+GMW-B5000
Thank you - you saved me from a trip to the jewellers and that also means I can purchase my watch CHEAPER online.

My first thought when watching this
Exactly what I was thinking the previous video I watched dude removed all 4 same side 🤔
Very clear instructions man. You have given me the confidence to do my own watch and save some money. Great job 👏
I had mine done half way through the video, thanks for the help.

Thank you for making this video I’m so glad I double checked how to do this I was about to drive out the pin with a hammer before I watched this yikes
Great video, thank you
Really helped me out. Thanks.
Very helpful, Thank you 😊
by removing the links from one side you did not not justify the clasp correctly
Where can I get watch links ? For the same style watch ?
The links have arrows on the backside of some Casio bracelets. Your video skips that very important aspect.
Great job, thank you!
Ive got an MT-G, my links are not spring loaded by the looks of it, how do I adjust that?
Excellent!!! Thank you!!!
Fantastic brother. Muchas gracias amigo!
it was helpful :) I'm going to do it now.
Very helpful..!
What is the pin size
Really worked
Very handy tip!
I don't have any holes like that on my A700WE-1AEF. Have no clue how to remove links on my Casio and there's no video on RUclips on how to do it. 😪
Wow really... No adjustment holes?! 😮
