How often do you need to water a waxed amaryllis bulb and when should you plant them? We live in Florida, so hopefully someone from that area can give me a good schedule. Thanks.

Waxed Amaryllis don't need water. You can plant them after they are done blooming

When they finish blooming, peel off the wax, then plant immediately. The leaves that will provide the energy for next years bloom will emerge from the bulb as the blossoms fade. Better yet, don't buy waxed bulbs. They are intended to be disposable. The basal plate (From which the roots emerge) is cut off so that the bulb will sit flat. If part of the basal plate survives, it can send out new roots, but if it is completely removed, the bulb will shrivel up and die.

It was red orange. Check out my shorts on my Amaryllis playlist, it was one of the first Amaryllis to bloom. Thank you for watching 🙂

    Well done video….
I cringed when you took the first one out of the pot and it appeared that you ripped the roots right from the root plate! EEEK…
But it appeared you had a good amount of roots left after so all should be good!
