I just took three bulbs out from under my house yesterday. They look great! I’ve potted them and can’t wait to see what they do. This is the first time I’ve ever tried to save them.
A tip I read about the other day is to let the root bottom touch in water for 24 hours then plant up like you did. I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you.
One day I will invest in some. They are beautiful! Might be able to find them on clearance! I have cats also. One is sleeping by my feet while I sit in my recliner watching you!!! No need to apologize, just go with it! Lol
Definitely look for them on the clearance rack this winter. I'll probably do the same. 😊 My cats are always looking for ways to make cameos in my videos. 😅🐱🐈⬛
Thanks, Nancy! I love my cats dearly and I love how they always want to make an appearance in my videos. We see a lot of Cali and Winnie. Hopefully Abby will also make an appearance in a video sometime soon! 🐈🐈⬛
I forced paperwhites indoors one time a few years ago. It was fun but I didn't like the smell of the flower so I didn't do it again. If I see them in the store I can try it again this year. 😊🏵️
Hi there. Sorry for the delay in writing back. Did you notice a flower bud yet? Be sure that you plant is getting enough light (from a south facing window or from artificial light). Also, give it some diluted fertilizer every 2 weeks. Finally, was the bulb dormant for at least 8-10 weeks? If not, it could be that the bulb did not get enough time in dormancy. Good luck, friend! 🤞🏼🌸

I put my amaryllis bulb into dormancy conditions months ago but it still has a green shoot. Should I wait longer and keep it in dormancy until it stops putting up growth?

How very exciting! I'd love to hear how they do 8-12 weeks from now. 🥰
I planted amaryllis for the first time last year. I’m looking forward to bringing my bulb out of dormancy this year! Thanks Vita, always great info!😊😊

I got mine potted up last week. Some of them this is their 6th year! So excited to see how they do this year. Love your video, thank you!
Wow, 6 years! That's amazing! I hope you enjoy watching them come to life this year. 😊

Hi Vita! Do you ever do paperwhite bulbs in glass vases? I should have asked you earlier in the fall! 😒😁

How bizarre, I just come back from Lidl with 2 Amaryllis kits @£3:99 each. Going to get planting 😊 thank you.
That's great to hear! You're very welcome, friend. 😊🌸
I took my bulb out of dormancy and after 2 weeks all I have are long leaves but no flower shoots? Help!

My bulb has sprouted beautiful, tall leaves. However, second year in a row and no flower stems. Suggestions?

Hi Patti! You should be fine in taking the bulb out of dormancy. Good luck, friend! 😊🌺
Do you water once a week or every 2 weeks? How can you tell if watering is needed?
I water just a little once a week. I check to see that the top inch or so is dry and water based on that. 😊🌸
