i really want to build a rc4wd blazer hard body the orange painted body is coming soon cheating but your drive train so nice rims and and all i really work hard for scale rigs love it
Hey I have only just found this video on RUclips just now and I am only 6 months into this crawling and Scale hobby, my background has been RC scale Helicopters and Fixed wing aircraft “scale” meaning I build ultra Large RC Planes that actually exist in reality just like this hobby. My question is regarding the suspension, you re iterated a couple of times that you will get extra points for leaf spring suspension, 3 points for rear and 3 points for front or 6 points if you’re savvy enough to fit fronts and rear, you also said you don’t care about coil suspension no matter what sort of coil suspension it is. Why is that? If you make it a point to make a “TRUE TO SCALE” 1/10 scale size model of a truck and that truck is representing the real life size 1/1 scale version what if that truck has Coil suspension in reality??? For example a D90 or D110 LandRover defender? Defenders ever since the mid to late 80’s have always had coil suspension, in fact I have a 1/10 RC4WD D90 defender now that I installed “Scale” rear suspension on meaning the damper is separate to the spring and it actually is true to scale. So that means if I was to enter your comp I would not be scored for that? Even though it was very technical to achieve and install?? If that’s the case man with all due respect that is not right..... if you’re scoring builds you need to score them on their merits. Like how the model truck is actually like in reality. Not the way you think it should be. You build seriously good stuff but if something in reality doesn’t have leaf springs does that mean you want people to go out of their way to fit them on trucks that are made for coils?? What’s the point in that? Just trying to understand..”respectfully speaking” as I said I am very new to this hobby.
Excellent points here for sure. You will find out from gcmracing.ca that we actually produce an authentic Range Rover and Defender chassis set with proper radius arms and split coil shock springs on all four corners etc. so we certainly believe in doing the scale replica that is required according to the full size vehicle. Unfortunately for the s o r r c a events, they have no regard for true reproduction and only a set of "scale" rules to allow trucks with a perceived lesser suspension to get a starting Gate bonus. We find the whole thing quite ridiculous, and although we participate in these events, and have done these videos to help our friends and customers, we also build appropriate scale replica vehicles far more often than we do produce competition events for this style of s o r r c a. I really appreciate the great comment and the quality thinking!!
@@GCMRacing1 thank you so much for your explanation. Yes it was just concerning to me that replicating a model in it’s truest form in reality counts for less, but I understand now why that is because of your explanation. I will most definitely check out gcmracing.com and after only 6 months into this wonderful hobby I am very much hooked. I love flying my planes even after 24 years of flying but i think I enjoy this hobby more especially the scale build aspects of it and of coarse the camaraderie and how the community always rallies together no matter where each person is from in the world. I enjoy watching you show very much and I learn so much from watching you. I know i am a but late to the game but thank you for your reply and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Especially us newbies. Warmest and most sincere regards from Melbourne Australia. Cheers..
With the rear seats when you say operational does that mean that you can't have a seat full of scale items. For example if you left the back of the rear seat on and put all of the items on the seat would it count as a second row?
Hi I have been into building extreme capable crawlers that will pull the most lines labeled "no Way " by my fellow crawlers but now I'm interested in building a c1 rig and adopt all my skills in extreme crawlers so I have a RUclips chable " dubbleportion " I do lots of how to videos on my builds so I appreciate how to videos and your video on sorrca c1 scoring is by far hands down the best I have seen 👍👍👍awesome job can you maybe make a current video that will cover any changes in rules from then to now 2021 ? I'm in North California bay area you do some amazing builds thanks from all of us 🤙🤙
This is awesome! I've had a few builds that would do just about anything. The line killers! Thanks for the comments on the video, the rules can be super confusing sometimes. I'll have a read on the new 21 rules and take a look!

ECXTD Yes, I could have left the back of the seat on the bottom part, and it would have been a seat (check) full of items (also check)
awesome man!
Great explanation, thank you!
Thanks for watching. Hope it helps!
