Rob Mcracken comes across as very genuine and humble - I've never seen him do a proper interview on RUclips and it's nice to see the respect Carl has for him.
I do agree be Carl gets half a pass on this one for bursting in because it's not just a normal guest it's his trainer and they are talking about his career and his head must be going 100mph thinking about the nights they had and things that happened.
Brilliant! McCracken may not be the most animated raconteur, but he’s thoughtful and honest. He gives Ward the respect he deserves and Froch himself. The more I hear about Froch’s career, the more I respect him. He had more successive tough fights than many and always seemed to need to prove himself, especially after losses to Kessler and Ward, and ironically win over Groves! Fascinating that McCracken thinks Foster stopped Groves’ fight fractionally too early. Love or hate him, you can’t deny Froch was a true fighting man.
i grew up working for one of robs brothers(spencer) and their dad and went to watch carl box a few times in nottingham. working there made me fall in love with boxing and i was really happy to see rob go and do great things as a coach. great boxer too. the whole family are blues mad and theyre a very well known and resepected family in birmingham. im happy carls made a podcast and i really enjoyed the groves ones and this one too.
This interview gives us great insight to the chemistry. It shows that Carl is grateful and we can see how it is in training where Rob is probably the only person who knows how to deal with Carl on every front. Both are a credit to boxing. Both humble. What you see is what you get
Froch has your brother done a pod, just heard you say he’s 8years under his belt now, always good to listen to people who have that type of experience, respect to you and your brother.
I like the way Rob doesn’t get drawn into slagging people off 😂 I’ve warmed to Carl, especially since his reunion with groves, but I always get the feeling he steers these things to get people to say how great he is or to agree with his point 😂 strangely endearing in a way
Fantastic career by the way, Carl really fought them all and earned his right to be considered a super middleweight all time great and British all time great.
Brilliant to see them both together ❤ got to love Carl & how much respect he's got for Rob. He's taking him with him to get inducted into the boxing hall of fame. Brilliant
I Love the videos Carl, keep them coming! When you were training for Groves for the 2nd time, I came to watch you train in Sheffield. Rob had invited my mate Vince to come up and I joined. You were a little cautious seeing two new people watching, I think you thought we were spies from the Groves camp! Anyway it was great to meet you and good to see that you still carry your confidence and humour! Lets see if John Fury takes you up on your latest suggestion :)
What a great interview , get David walker and Matthew thirwell on . 2 great fighters who will remember your brilliant fights and spars and training sessions. I remember coming to watch you box as a kid I was. I was a walker fan , and watched you froch along the way. Get walker on what a great fighter .
Rob McCracken , a credit to his sport, as a world class boxer ( watch his fight with Ensley Bingham, a classic) also as a world class trainer. Was fortunate to meet him ( Finchley boxing club) very knowledgeable and down to earth chap.btw boxing is in his blood, one of his relatives fought Jack Dempsey ( Tommy Gibbons) I think it was in 1923, ( a good read is a boxing book highlighting the fight, " Shelby folly")
At last!!! Thank you, Carl. And thank you Rob for getting everything Carl had to give in the ring. Great team. You made him believe how great he could be, Rob. Of all the things you could ask of a trainer or coach in sports of any kind, that's the toughest thing to do, in my very humble opinion.
If only AJ had the same respect for McCracken as froch did. Instead of having all the hangers on beside him spouting in his ear. Froch just had his brothers and his best pal who always had his best interests at heart. Can’t say the same for AJs team
Huge fan carl love the froch on fighting , keep it going! Bit of constructive criticism let the guests talk without being interrupted. But keep being out spoken and honest !
Great interview...Carl asks a question....Carl answers the question.....Mr McCracken goes with the flow and tells it as it is....brilliant !!! C'mon Carl, get JC on ;0)
Not sure, who was being interviewed??? But Robert McCraken is a legend in the sport & extremely humble & I will be chuffed for them when they go to the 🥊🥊🥊Boxing hall of fame.... They deserve it 👍
Thought the taylor fight was on channel 5 carl.... Could be wrong. That last round was just fantastic makes more sense now that youve talked about your thought process in the fight. Probably the best british moment i can remember
The 80, 0000 still comedy Gold Rob is such nice guy and obviously had you best interest at heart. Think AJ won the title with him and should have stuck with him , we haven’t seen anything really different about under other trainers
You know what. Rob is a really nice man very good man to have in your corner Carl u were very lucky to stumble on each other..one live and fair play on a seller career ... ...
I knew Carl was a great fighter but when you hear all the intracasies of each fight, like the Ash cloud, the Taylor fight in hostile territory and all the tough world class guys he thought like Abraham in a freezing cold Finland you realise just how great those victories were. Carl faced so many dangerous opponents with many on foreign soil with everything against him and found a way to beat the lot bar Ward. Without doubt the best resume of opponents I can think of from a british fighter since Lennox Lewis's career for me.
Fabulous interview, haha Lee Meager blagging work to get to Thailand. Carl, could you ask Danny Christie to come on as a guest? He’s the British BKFC light heavyweight champion with a great back story. Thank you! P.S. I was there in Herning!
What did you think of Froch, Froch asked whimsically before Froch interjected philosophically. Anyway enough about me said Froch, what did you think of Froch, Froch mused. Froch did this, do you remember that, cos Froch remembered.
Whats really odd about jermain taylor is after that fight with froch...where he lost in rnd 12 with just a few seconds to go..he fought arthur abraham next and lost exactly the same ...ko'd in round 12 just 8 seconds slower than froch did him🤔
Great interview! Listening to Rob, and your experience with him as a good exiting fighter like yourself.. It Really proves ALL THOSE AJ B/S IDIOTS WRONG back in the days when AJ GOT BEAT and Rob was his trainer ect. Rob really knows his sport and really knows his fighter's.. Ultimately This is important.. as fighter's now day's blame the trainer ect. Of course their are some trainer's that use the wrong tactics. like JOE JOYCE'S Trainer LOL. Great video.
First fight I saw of froch was the Taylor fight on a Sunday afternoon. Was a new boxing fan, 16 years old. Was a huge fan of carls ever since, even though he’s a prick haha. Proper fighter, hard, fit and determined. Favourite British fighter
I luv your banter when you are on your and mostly agree with most of what you say. Your a good boxing analyst and not afraid to air your and also take the piss but let Rob speak plz
Bloody hell Carl, the whole point of getting a guest on is to let them speak!
Ikr i like carl but this was frustrating to watch he kept butting in
@john oliver he does it every time. These could be excellent if he simply took a step back and let the guest speak.
@@userJ1J123 i know he does and your right this could excellent thats what frustrating about it
Really wanted to hear more about Rob's career a real missed opportunity
Not on Carl Frochs channel lol we know what to expect
Carl asks you the questions and then answers them for you 😂
He’s a generous guy. If he can answer his own question so you don’t have to, he will. Selfless.
😂
I can't wait to see who Carl interviews next to talk about himself. His mum? Brother?
He loves blowing smoke u his own arse lol!!!
Rob Mcracken comes across as very genuine and humble - I've never seen him do a proper interview on RUclips and it's nice to see the respect Carl has for him.
They're mates.
@@interabangobviously they’re mates 👍🏻
I love how honest Rob McCracken is even when discussing Carl's losses just calls it how he saw it. Great stuff.
Let your guests speak.your a legend mate. Ask a question and shut up 😅

Haven't watched a minute yet but know this will be awesome
Great episode. Such a lovely Bloke Rob, underrated fighter
McCracken
Total fights 35

Wins by KO 21

Brilliant AJ 😂😂 he sucks 35 cabbies to his resume
He lost to Howard Eastman, and Eastman was beaten by Bernard Hopkins. Rob is a class act.

Froch cracks me up - the little digs kill me. But quite touching how much he clearly respects Rob.

It was fantastic to hear the two of you talk about the past and how it all began.
Froch has your brother done a pod, just heard you say he’s 8years under his belt now, always good to listen to people who have that type of experience, respect to you and your brother.
Loved that ! You can see how much Carl still wants the accolade and to impress his mentor…lovely stuff! And he fought EVERYONE!! 👊🏻
Loved this interview. Two lovely fellas, thanks for the memories.
Awesome interview. Great to see. I think Carl was told not to mention AJ tho
100%. They threw some shade at him though indirectly where they talk about changing trainers when you lose
What a treat that was ! As a fan it was a pleasure to watch your career together.
Great nights top fights !
thank you sincerely 👏🏻🙏🏼🥊
I could watch this kind of stuff all night. Boxing insights.
Teacher and student can see the respect Carl has for Rob he admires him

I honestly really like Carl, but his modesty is what impresses me the most 😂
Me too 😂😂😂
Watched the fight live and it was a game changer..!! Heart of a lion
Carl Froch is what got me into boxing, the first fight with Groves got me tuned in!
Enjoyed Carl interviewing Carl. Rob McCracken: a Gentleman amongst boxers.
Really enjoyed listening to both of you reminisce over your career thank you.
Enjoyed that karl I've always admired Rob as a boxing coach and whenever I've heard him in interviews he comes across as a genuine humble fella. 👍

Love the way how a single comment from McCracken checks Froch's ego every time LOL. Great chemistry between the pair!
Really good to hear these two reminisce over their time together was really enjoyable, you can see how much Carl love Rob and repects him
