It would have been a great fight to see, but my money would have been on Joe to win a points decision, and probably not a very close points decision.
Most underrated fighter that’s come out of Britain! There’s isn’t a bad word you can say about Carl, he’s never ducked anyone, always give 110%. One of the hardest chins in world boxing. Maybe juiced up Holyfield or coralles when he had the best comeback of all time. Or Emanuel Augustus vs Micky ward but even those guys I think would tip their hat to how tough Froch was!
I think Froch is very much like Gary Neville, for some reason I just never realised how much I liked them until they weren't performing anymore then really appreciated just how good they were and how amazingly they've adapted to punditry
The 50/50 split with Kessler sums Carl up as a person and a boxer it was never about the money for him it was about combat and fighting and wanting to beat the best a very rare trait in boxing in this day and age this man was one of a kind and never ever ducked a single fighter that alone is worth more than some of the world champions these days he can always hold that!
