I absolutely love this man. I met him in Brighton once. An absolute gentleman. We sat and talked for 20 minutes. Me him and my girlfriend. And I can say I’ve never met such an interesting, kind and sweet man. So generous. A true gentleman.
I met him in Brighton too. It was four o'clock in the morning I was tripping balls after taking a dodgy pill and I was hanging upside down from the pier thinking I was the lovechild of a Desmodus Rotundus (that's a Vampire Bat for those of you who didn't listen at school) and Noel Edmonds in his House Party phase. My girlfriend was throwing washed up algae in my face whilst shouting "Surprise Surprise " and "We're gonna have a lorra lorra laughs" (in hindsight this annoys me as those are in fact Cilla Black quotes and don't really correspond with the experience I was having. "Deal or No Deal" or "Blobby Blobby Blobby" would have been much more apt and would make this somewhat contentious and surreal anecdote more coherent). Anyway, Snr walked past and shook my hand, he was an absolute gentleman, and super strong.
My favourite boxer ever - bumped into him once outside Harrods in Knightsbridge. It was pissing down with rain and we asked if he wouldn’t mind taking a photo with us. He had a lady with him and told us he was just going to get her into a taxi first then he would be straight back. Id have put money on him just getting into the taxi as well and then buggering off as it really was bucketing it down heavy - but he didn’t. He saw the lady into the taxi further down the road then walked back through the rain and had a photo taken with us and a quick chat. I’ll never forget that. Proper gentleman in every sense.
Everytime I watch this man, I feel so hard done when the interview ends or when he stops speaking. He is so captivating, full of wisdom and a true model of excellence. Thank yoo for bringing him on, Simon.
Absolute sporting legend. It’s sad that some people try to ridicule him. What he’s given to entertain people and what he has to live with seeing people he’s fought suffer life altering injuries is unthinkable. He’s lived the best and seen the worst of boxing.
He never finished a fighter after Michael Watson, he had Collins gone on the ropes and Chris let him recover , its a noble thing to be in a sport where your job is to knock your opponent out , or put a beating on him to stop the fight, sadly after what happened , and Chris blames himself, he just couldn't finish off a fighter. He would have beat Collins as well , yet rather than risk Collins life he eventually lost on points. That's a noble man. There is also another fight , I cant remember the opponent, but Chris has them on the ropes , and he hits then beckons the ref to end the fight so he doesn't have to hit his opponent anymore. The guy is a class act , treated badly by the press.

To maintain such a genius level IQ despite being punched in the head by legendary boxers is a feat we rarely see
I'm defo remembering that line if I ever get arrested "sorry judge I was just being courageous"
That is what you call a top-shelf Gentleman!! Beautiful Interview
Can’t have anything other than respect for Sr, and now the way he is so outspoken protecting Jr. real man
I do wish this man was fighting in this era. He would be the face of boxing. The boxing skills, the charisma, the heart. He can talk the talk but he could also walk the walk. Legendary.
Really?? 2x steve Collins.
2x Thompson.
Watson lucky!!.
2nd fight with benn! Draw.

Truly inspiring human and one hell of a fighter
Love the heart and passion this man has for his family and for boxing. Hes a gentleman and a warrior through and through
This was a fascinating and insightful interview with Chris Eubank Sr, in addition to being educational and engaging. This man is a British boxing legend who fought in the golden age of British middle and super middleweights, whose peers were Benn, Watson, and Collins - what boxing entertainment they gave us. Thoroughly enjoyed the discussion, thanks for uploading.
So many people hate on this man. But you cannot deny the warrior he was, the man genuinely fascinates me.
“A di King yuh a look pon, dreadlocks, a di King!” - Chris Eubank Sr *LEGEND 😂
There's enough material here for 2 more seasons of The Office
Just amazing. Probably the best interview of the series. I know Simon had to keep bringing Chris back to specifics but what an inspiring video.

Magnificent boxer and individual. Utter class for the entire time he’s been in the public eye. I hope one day Chris gets his flowers.

Thankyou Chris, that was incredibly inspirational to me. It's so refreshing to hear somebody else be that honest 🙏❤️ Thankyou again, peace and love from Gloucester ❤️
You have to respect Chris’s dedication, whenever the camera is on he performs his gimmick perfectly. He consistently contradicts himself, but his dedication is brilliant.
Sir Chris Eubank Sr is a steppin razor (sharply dressed). That's right I called him Sir Chris Eubank.. Knight him King Charles! Great interview. Both men did brilliantly.
Love Eubank Sr, even love his suit jacket which resembles the Aston Villa 94 away kit sponsored by Muller 😂
Absolutely mullered any interpretation of complimentary aesthetics
What a gent Chris is and what a fighter he was like he says people think he’s an odd ball well this is a sign of the times in the world we live in now ..if your a gentleman your classed as a odd ball …how sad ..what a warrior and a true gentleman this man is .👍👍👍
What an amazing interview! , love or hate either of them ya cant knock that interview 👌👏👏
The man, the legend, the myth, the enigmatic, the courageous, the warrior, the Lord of the English manor. The distinguished gentleman, simply the best Mr Christopher 'English' Eubank.

I used to fight the bullys. Never put up with it. I got suspended 16 times in school. Then 5 years in jail full of fighting and Im here today with a great life. Hard work is what it takes. Determination to change your ways. Never stop fighting for what you want in life. Gladly I dont fight anyone anymore.
Idolised this man in the ring in the 90s. True sportsman and legend 🙏
The only guest yet who has Simon on the back foot and completely speechless at times 😂
As Simon says at the start, Eubank is an enigma wrapped in a riddle
Simon is so so annoying continuously finishing Chris's words
Without doubt, one of the most riveting interviews/ discussions I’ve ever seen - from both sides
You could garunteed Eubank sr wasn’t gunna let Jordan interrupt him 😂👌 great interview tho loved it 👍
A real legend and young lads can learn a lot from him
Very few men left like Mr Eubank . Legend 🙏🙏🙏

Good to hear his words on masculinity. We’re constantly being told about the negative side of masculinity, we need more on the positive side otherwise we’ll be faced with a generation misguided men
Chris is a great great man. There are less man out there like him these days.
One of the best interviews I've ever watched, and I don't say that lightly. Simon struck the balance of inquisition and respect perfectly.
Love Chris but I’ve never known anyone any better at saying so many words without saying anything at all
Reason is what he's saying is going over your head.
@@whodoyouratemore course it is 😂😂😂😂 talks in riddles and nonsense. Gets propped up as an intellectual. Don’t make me laugh
Loved Chris back in the day for the man he represented... respect him even more as the full incarnation of the human spirit....!
Truly an amazing interview. Eubank is truly an inspriring man.
What a great interview. Loved what Simon said at the end. Great stuff.
Simon did amazing here to keep him on track while also allowing him to talk. Fantastic interviewing skill simon well done.
Snr sparking the lad in 3 seconds and posing to the camera on itv, that is an iconic moment in boxing.
