These two made history and awesome to see how they changed over the last 10 years. Groves is a humble lovely lad who has changed a million percent and carls exactly the same 😂😂😂😂
Absolutely brilliant stuff lads! 1:45 George couldn't help laughing to himself as Carl has already interrupted him in less than 2 minutes! Lmao. Legends of the sport!
Great interview, i like both Fighters. I won money on Froch in both fights but i was a Groves fan at the time. I met Froch at a signing convention at Milton Keynes once and he was a nice bloke. I told him i won some money on the Groves fight and he asked for his 10% 😂
The part where Carl described giving up on his last run before he retired was a huge insight into what these warriors go through emotionally on a daily basis from a young age. Fair play to both of these guys. Had some amazing nights watching both of them box 🥊🥊🔥
Love how down to earth these guys are. Carl is full of honesty about the battering he took in the first half of the first fight. Two great fighters. Absolutely fascinating hearing the technical analysis, their styles and punch power, the training, last week of camp etc. This is a brilliant video.
The ending for the Taylor fight still gets better every time you watch it unreal from the cobra. The last British boxing rivalry with a bit of needle, actually giving the fans the fight when we wanted it just takes the buzz and excitement levels to watch must tv. Yea it was genuine , not like the fake beefs they have today when they are trying to out do each other at a press conference by speaking profainly.. cringe .. yes these two were the best rivalry and now they are good mates .. great stuff
That Taylor round 12 still gives me goosebumps! I must say though, I quite enjoyed the Whyte/AJ rivalry and the Bellew/Haye one, I wouldn't say Groves and Frochy are the last good British rivalry.
@@powpow9560 bellew and haye were on the phone to each other. It can’t be mentioned in the same breath as froch groves. Haye was in bits. AJ/Whyte was decent I give you that but it’s the way George sold the fight that made it huge
Lovely to see Carl & George hanging out together as mates. They gave us arguably the best domestic rivalry of all time. I was shocked and mesmerised by the first fight and how it unfolded, George telling everybody exactly what he was going to do and did exactly that, and for Carl I don't know any other fighter that took that much of a sustained beating and was still there in the 9th. Huge respect to both. I was fortunate enough to get a ticket for the Wembley rematch and it's something I will never forget.
These 2 re lit the whole British boxing scene, a young brash George who was so intelligent and crafty played the perfect villain Carl never knew what hit him litterally. Carl learned a harsh lesson in Manchester and didnt repeat that mistake. Thankyou boys for some of the best boxing memories ive ever had
Absolutely. I was shocked and mesmerised by the first fight and how it unfolded, and I was fortunate to nab a ticket to see the rematch at Wembley and its something I'll never forget 🔥

Both absolute legends in their own right, a chapter in boxing that will never be forgotten, and now friends and still giving little digs, but from a position of love and respect, making this all the funnier. You’ll likely both never read this, but Carl Froch and George Groves thank you, you absolute (expletive) heroes of the sport

Just subbed to the podcast. I must say, Groves is one hell of a great guy - great energy, and a natural podcast host. He is so humble though, and (imo) more mature than Froch. I like Carl Froch though, and to see them as friends now is fantastic. What a rivalry back in the day! Hard to believe its 10 years ago. It was SO exciting to watch back then. Legends!
The first fight was the most memorable, It was amazing and ive watched it again tonight for the 100th time.. When froch said 14 back to back title fights with monsters and you were one. Thats huge props and groves deserved it as he proved with his title win. I love these two being friendly.
One of the best chats / interviews I have seen in a long time! I swear Froch was out cold when Groves landed that shot in the first fight. Hitting the canvas woke him up 🤣
Who would love to see James DeGale as a guest. George and James had a genuine rivalry. It would be interesting to see the dynamics between them two now that a lot of time has passed.

Don't watch a lot of boxing, but these 2 fights (including Groves playing the villain in the build up) were the best fights I've watched, and I've watched them on RUclips several times since. Great episode.
You can tell George is a really lovely guy. One of the best boxing podcasts I've ever seen to be fair. Hilarious and seriously insightful. Carl has ego for all to see, none more so than George, but you can tell their's deep respect between them, and genuinely good mates. Love the work they now do together. Their analysis and punditry is second to none. Fucking great banter too.
Both amazing super middleweights who have given me many hours of entertainment over the years, I am happy they have given up their grudge so we can get to hear them tell their story. I would of loved to have seen Froch fight Calzage as it would of been an epic battle, Joe wins it in my book simply by out boxing him for 12 rounds
George, fancy a curry in Northampton to chat boxing, with me (Chris) and my mates Jon and Jim? There’s an all you can eat for a tenner. It’s a bit rank but what do you expect for a tenner?!?
This podcast consistently delivers and this may be the best episode yet. I think this shows how big this British rivalry was the fact everyone loves to see these two together. Carl has turned me round to be fair. Perhaps second only to Eubank/Benn unless I’m missing something really obvious.
It just shows how much you can genuinely hate an opponent at the time of fighting him and in time bury the hatchet and move on and be mate's ?
