    So for perspective, the Noisy Criket 1w amp uses 1 LM386 to power a speaker... This pedal has two of them in series, hence that its gets so frickin' loud it can blow an amp

    • @stuartchapman5171
      @stuartchapman5171 Год назад +1

      Indeed, the Lm386 is an op amps, but from my limited knowledge, I beats a mini power amp as well. You can run a 1x12 cab off of one of those chips.

    • @fowlsounds7836
      @fowlsounds7836 13 часов назад

      2 in series isn't louder than 1 and the second 386 has less gain than the first. The first one clips the front of the second. The input of the lm386 has terrible head room but clips very nicely.

    I bought this last week…..this thing is Illegally loud …insane…..dial 1 on your pedal is max…and my amp is at 2 . If the amp has a dirty channel it starts compressing and clipping…. Muddy. It works only a clean amp ( valve ). I think it is designed to get power amp distortion so it becomes a very very high volume preamp.

    • @MusicBlissMalaysiaTV

      Front....it's a distortion pedal....not a preamp

    • @Aleph_Null_Audio
      @Aleph_Null_Audio Год назад

      You can power a speaker with it, but it doesn't get very loud. It's basically a 0.5W power amp.

    I love your videos. But this deceptive title is so disappointing to see. This pedal specifically most likely did not “blow” your amp. As I read through and saw your reply that it was a resistor, I’m glad you at least got it fixed. But this could have happened from any pedal. From an overdrive to a chorus. And further, reading through the comments, your click bait title has caused fear among others. You can literally hear your amp crackling right before you said “run volume up”. It was already dying.
    I’ll keep watching your videos, but for the love of all that is a music community, don’t fall into the click bait garbage titles. Please.
    Otherwise great video as always. Your playing is amazing.

      @MusicBlissMalaysiaTV  2 года назад +7

      This amp has been in use non stop every single day since 2017 at this point without giving a single issue till this video. So for it to blow once in 5 years, I’d say that’s way better than most other brand names out there. Byebye!

    • @mattzocrazy123

      @@MusicBlissMalaysiaTV do you think it was the pedal that did it or just the pedal cranking was the straw that broke the camels back for the amp? I have a Laney AOR SII from 1988, it's a monster 100 Watt model, do you think It can tank that amount of gain or am I better off just getting a DOD Carcosa or something.

    • @MusicBlissMalaysiaTV
      @MusicBlissMalaysiaTV  Год назад +2

      @@mattzocrazy123 I really feel after years of cranking this amp and leaving it on the entire day almost everyday, it just finally gave in, and what gave in wasn't tubes, it was a small part/chip that had to be replaced.
      Anything with high headroom such as your 100W should be good. This pedal definitely sounds insane, especially great if you're not so much of a fuzz fan but want to get something in that ballpark.

      @Music Bliss Malaysia I love this pedal but kinda worried about blowing my AC15. Any advice?

    • @stuartchapman5171
      @stuartchapman5171 Год назад +1

      I would hazard a guess it was the pre amp on the amp that blew and the chip they use doesn't have the headroom. This pedal is really aggressive, the dual op amps inside are actually mini 1w power amps.Running power amps into pre amps or other power amps can be troublesome. I use a single version of this op amp to drive my noise rig hard. I haven't dared run it beyond 10 o'clock yet 9 o'clock is enough, with most my clipping being done by a fuzz/distortion combo first. I have a vu meter on the preamp as well, so when I'm getting medieval on it, I can see how hard I'm pushing it.
