Thank you so much for these videos. I love how you pack so much clear, thorough instruction into a nice short length. I've learned so much and you've inspired me to start drafting my own clothes! Question, is your armhole depth measurement chart no longer available? I know this is an old video so maybe you took it down?
Hi I learning more from you about pattern making method but I want to know one thing why do you draft front high neck point is lower than the back high neck point
Hi, when you look at the body (from the side), from the waistline to the shoulder point, back length is longer than the front. Depending on posture, front length can be longer or the same, but normally back length is longer for normal posture. Is that make sense?
The rib for cuff and hem is just rectangle. You can decide the length for whatever the tension you want. Polo collar though, you don't cut the collar like woven fabric. You knit the collar as the pattern. You ask the mill to knit the collar with just neck length. If you want to know how to draft convertible collar, I have a video. Thank you!
This is for knit fabric and men and women can be the same. You measure his chest, shoulder width, and back length. And follow the same. Just do not curve the waist. And normally straight hem.
I’ll make a video for that, but it’s simple. You just make regular patterns and cut out of smocked fabric. Or you make patterns with ease (gathering amount), so you make shirrings after the cut. Either way, you need to smock the actual fabric you’re going to use. So you know how much ease you need.
When buying a T-shirt I like, I sometimes must buy a men’s size large. I want to resize the shirts to make them more feminine. Have you made a video that shows how to do that? Thank you 🙏🏻
That’s okay too. And depending the posture, you can adjust it. But normally, you draw the back armhole longer than the front armhole. That way, the shoulder seam looks at the center of the shoulder.
Are you making a drop shoulder? Otherwise, double-check the shoulder width or chest circumference. Shoulder width can not be bigger than half of the chest.
I do like you tutorials in general, but not this one. It's another "to your own measurements drafting", assuming you're have standard body proportions. And you're a barrel 😅. Please, please stop with the "take 1/4 of your bust circumference". If you're not a barrel, but have a bust, your front would be wider than back, even for stretchy knits. The same goes for the front length (bust, remember? ). If I'm drafting from scratch, I want it to fit right away. Measure, don't assume. Otherwise, very well explained as usual.
this tutorial is a basic one, if you have a different body, then adjust as needed, and since you already know that, why make such a harsh comment? it says "to your own measurements" because youre supposed to take your own body measurements. If she's a barrel, then youre a cow. Its isnt great making comments whithout seeing the wrong in yourself first. Obviously being a youtuber with a large audience, she takes the standard body, because the standard body is the usual, most common, fit to larger viewing scales one, is that so hard to understand?

Why is the front shirt pattern shorter than the rear?
What would the different be if the HSP was at the same height on both pieces?
