It's been a week since we came back from Peru, my wife and friends from Texas loved it. We visited Cusco, Ayacucho, Piura and obviously Lima, what a great time we had and because of El Niño we had lots of sunny days in Miraflores by the sea. One month of fun. We'll be back for sure.

Visited Lima in 2012 for 9 days and stayed in Mira Flores. Walked the streets downtown, across the river and into Remac. Loved Lima. A very modern city thats very diverse economically. Poped into a pretty known Chino-Latino Peruvian restaurant downtown somewhere famous for their cerviche and they had live music. Came close to having some drama in a nightclub in Mira Flores, but was able to ignore by playing ignorant to the fools pressing us and it de-escalated the situation. Alcohol makes people act stupid so we kept it moving. Made a mistake and ordered eggs sunnyside up for breakfast at a restaurant and ended up curled up in a ball on the cold tile floor of my hotel bathroom for the entire night. the next day wasnt fun either waslking around downtown and having to sh!t in a different restaurant every hour. Had a great time otherwise.....really I did!!!

Peruvian here. They don't usually put jalea and ceviche in the same plate because of the citrus juice. They didn't serve you Rocoto (hot peper) and it was the chicharron was almost all calamari (cheaper for them). It didn't look particularly good. You didn't go to a good sea food restaurant. You want something good? There is a restaurant called La Lucha in the Kenedy Park. Get a "Pan con Chicharron with fries". Also Chicharron just means something like deep fried, it can be fish or porc. When it's with bread it's understood it's porc. In a fish place it's fish.

Bro there was a very good restaurant in "Malecón Miraflores Blvd" You was walking there!! The restaurant is "Punto Azul", near "El parque del amor" and is much better than the other you visited. Not only because the Quality of the food, is due to the amazing overview over the ocean pacific and parks. I hope You can visit that place next time.
