Too bad, I rented a room once with a Peruvian guy and his uncle. Their friends came over and made homemade ceviche. When done right, it's one of my world favorites. And I've had homemade African, Mediterranean, German, Trinidadian, etc.
You can improve your spanish more by doing this. At the end of the day when you are at your room do research on how to properly ask questions in spanish that you had problems with during that day. For example; when you asked where is the entrance to the gym? Look up the words in spanish to make complete sentences in asking where is the entrance to the gym. Just keep repeating it to yourself until it in in your head. In the future when you have to ask where is the entrance to the gym you will ask in spanish and won't have to think about what to say. Keep practicing by speaking to yourself in spanish with complete sentence.
It all comes down to the individual no matter what country you are in. If you know how to carry yourself and have some class , yuo can get on well anywhere with anyone!

That restaurant down there on the dock is Rosanautica. It is pricey to eat there for the small amount of food you get but you can get a couple of Pisco Sours for a reasonable price. Best to go to see the sunset.
The food is called leche de tigre. It is fish ceviche is a spicy white sauce, not really a fish shake lol. If you like fish, you'd love it. They are known for ceviche in Lima

Bro. A little constructive advice. When speaking Spanish please incorporate the accent in actual practical use. Watch some helpful videos. I'm speaking from my own experience. English was my first language, but I am 100 % fluent now. I noticed that lots of people don't understand you when you're saying the simplest phrases. It's kind of like saying Dis when meaning This.
