Suh dudes! I took a quick visit to Carowinds to check out some of the best roller coasters in the Carolina's with none other than Brandon from @TP_Recommendations !

We really had an amazing ride on Hurler together. In fact, it’s now my favorite coaster at Carowinds and I will marathon this all summer! 😂 who needs Fury 325, when you have Hurler!

After all the "Hurler is so terrible" things I heard, and read, I was expecting something really bad. It wasn't THAT bad. For context, Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake Park is what started my coaster addiction.

Don’t know if this is the right place to do this, but I’d love to see a Problematic Roller Coasters video on White Canyon at Yomiuriland. It was shut down in 2013 and was a collab between RCCA and Togo (Yes, this actually happened). The ride’s trains infamously had to be beefed up with padding to protect riders and is arguably the roughest coaster ever made.
What’s even crazier is that the coaster that replaced it, Twist Coaster Robin, lasted for, if I remember correctly, a single day.

Carowinds local mang here, I wish you had gotten to give Nighthawk another chance as it’s been running smoother since getting the Firehawk trains and is honestly an enjoyably unique ride!
When were the trains updated?

@@gbtree this year or last year, I think. It got the trains from FireHawk. I haven't ridden it with the "new" trains, yet. Thinking about getting a season pass this year, working 3rd shift makes it a little difficult to get to Carowinds.

Very cool you made it out to my home park again! And I miss Thunder Road, too. Many, many memories on that ride and the flat ride you showed that got removed (the one with the ship). I actually rode that to sike myself into getting on a coaster with inversions for the first time (carolina cyclone). To this day, I have a hard time calling "After Burn" anything other than "Top Gun" because of how many times I rode it when it was called that.
Paramount does that to you :D I've been used to calling Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland Flight Deck since I didn't go to the park during the Paramount years, I went in 2009 for the first time, so a few years after Cedar Fair took over.
Carowinds is my home park as well. And yes, I still say Top Gun more than After Burn. It is actually my favorite coaster in the park, with Copperhead Strike being a close 2nd. I also still miss Thunder Road.

Being my home park, Intimidator is such an awesome B&M hyper I don’t know why it gets any hate the trims don’t even do anything most of the time.
It looks even more beautiful with the new paint job. Looks brand new like it did 13 years ago~

I got to go to both Carowinds and Kings Dominion about a month ago and I loved them. Unfortunately a lot of the rides were closed, like i305...and vortex, but I still really enjoyed it. I'd love to see you both when I go to any of the cedar fair parks especially CP

i’ve genuinely never found fury to be like a top ten coaster. i feel like it’s just way too tame for its size. i currently have it at 14 on my list. still a fun ride no doubt
It has speed and a few pops of air time, nothing more. While everyone flocks to Fury, I'll be riding, After Burn and Copperhead Strike.

Last year at my home park, cga, there was a day where they were so under staffed that they had ride attendants moving between rides. They would operate one ride for a bit then move to another then go back to the other, or to which ever had more demand at the moment. I started to follow the ride ops around so that way I could ride the rides😂
Woah..... I guess California's Great America really is going down the drain now :( That park had so much potential.
@@TonyKimtheamusementparkfan it has been off and on for a bit. I went on Saturday, started off with almost nothing open, but by the end of the day they had almost everything open with maintenance being the only reason a few still weren’t. The park still has potential but with it sitting in limbo and leaning towards demise, it’s unlikely it will get better or even be given a chance to thrive.
Each spring I’m reminded of how much I miss working at parks. Good vid mang.
I just wanted to say I got my new Vessi shoes in the mail the other day and they are SO comfortable! Also they look pretty awesome 😎
I meant to just buy them to walk around my local amusement park this summer (Worlds of Fun) but they're so comfy that I wear them all the time. The discount code is also really helpful!
Also, I ran them under the hose when I got them and even moved my feet around/stretched the fabric and they really work! I thought my socks would be even just a little bit wet, but they were completely dry. Love these shoes! Thanks, brah! 😁
My wife and I are moving to North Carolina so this will soon be our new home park (a couple of hours away but still the closest one.) Certainly an upgrade over Wild Waves.

I loved Carowinds. I wish it wasn't so busy when I went. A least half of the rides weren't operating as well making everything a 2 hours wait.

Missed you guys by like 1 day. I had some great Fury rides and got 2 in a row being on one of the last trains of the night the Ops on Fury where amazing even when it was busy.

I've been to Corrwinds last year with my Wife. It's a great place. I'm sure staffing will increase once the kids are out of school in June. Plan to visit again sometime in the next two years. Need to ride Intimidatior.
Wish i could've gotten a ride on nighthawk, it was down everytime i tried to get in line. The Fury marathon was fun though, and I actually enjoyed Hurler tbh. It's a cool park, I might be back not sure. Its a bit of a drive.

It’s funny I just moved to South Carolina from Michigan n the thing I missed the most was cedar point we went 5 times before the move down here🤣 we are goin to Carowinds next week I was feeling some type of way cuz my love of cedar point but you got me pumped to try it out❤️

I was here this past weekend and Flying Cobras was only open Saturday. One of the seats in the front row was blocked off. It closed later in the day and maintenance was examining it. Then it was closed all Sunday, not sure what’s going on with that ride, but it might not be staffing
My home park! I actually did work there one summer, mostly on Cyclone and Ricochet but getting sent over to Hurler and Drop Tower with suspicious frequency.

Why are there sharks on the trains of Afterburn? That's a large departure from Top Gun!
Carolina Cyclone is closed until the second week of May and Vortex is closed until late Spring 😢 guess that means more rides on Fury and Copperhead!
