I missed you guys by one day! I was at Cedar Point the following three days, got my first (and following 14) rides on Steel Vengeance and I have to say, it didn't disappoint. It's right up there with Voyage on my list. The ride operators at CP are some of the best in the nation and I've been to 9 different parks this year. I also wanted to really give a double thumbs up to the Pagoda Gift Shop manager, I was talking with her about how I had lost some of the items I purchased the day before, (I had bought about $65 worth of merch and set it outside the bathroom while I went to take a "mean streak" and when I had came out the bag of merch was gone) I had filed a claim with lost and found with no luck and the shop manager was kind enough to comp me a t-shirt. She didn't have to do that but I thought it was super nice that she did and I wish I could remember her name. But yeah, Cedar Point is awesome.
@@seankaufman588 The Boss in Six Flags STL is getting to the point that it's so rough it's barely rideable. I rode it earlier this year and had bruises on my knees and thighs. The why, seems to be the result of poor maintenance and lack of upkeep. It's in need of the RMC treatment. Grizzly at King's Dominion is rough but it still put a smile on my face. The boss just isn't fun anymore. El Toro Ryan could probably tell you about Pegasus at Mt. Olympus though. Now if you wanna talk about Steel Coasters that are rough I'd say T3 at Kentucky Kingdom is the roughest I've experienced, Rougarou has become a headbanger here recently as well, it's probably my least favorite B&M I've ridden recently.
I missed the point of the video when they said when this was (nvm, they said August 27th). I just went to Cedar Point on Labor Day. Was actually perfect weather .. rained earlier on the day and was cloudy. No rides were closed due to weather but i think it made for less crowds due to hesitance about the weather. So i feel like i got super lucky to go on 10 different coasters in 3 hours. Our no-fast-pass wait for Millennium Force was 10 minutes, for reference. But I’ll have to go back for Steel Vengeance. Wish i came across this channel before I went because i totally overlooked it (but also it was the longest line and we didn’t have much time)
Also fun part of my Labor Day CP visit. Right before I got on GateKeeper, they seemed to run an empty train, but we realized when it was taking off, it was exclusively seated for one family... someone famous so they wouldn’t get harassed. Turned it to be Mariah Carey 😄 we got to wave as she got into the station. One dude was SO ANGRY and loudly booing at her. Was so pissed he had to wait the extra 7 minutes. I get that exclusive treatment seems unfair, but I’m just glad Mariah Carey got to go on the ride like anyone else, without being harassed. Like stay mad dude. I hope 7 minutes of fuming ruined your whole trip because you have the composure and mental capacity of a 5 year old. The staff made the whole cover operation happen fairly quickly. Although one definitely blew her cover as they were taking off by telling us who it was, because she was so star struck 😂
A few months ago, the RUclips algorithm gave me a good ol “Fuck you” and stopped recommending your channel to me despite being subscribed and even with Notis on. I'm a big defender of Maverick as an elite coaster. I don't even understand how some enthusiasts shit on it, it's pretty damn good. I've never had a bad ride on it.
it's a great coaster it just has terrible lines all the time, i don't think i've ever gotten on it in under an hour unless the park was so dead that millie was a walk on and once had to wait 90 mins with a fast lane pass. also it often breaks down after you've waited an hour and now it's a gamble if you want to stay in line the actual ride though is great

Fast pass plus is now a must when I go. I booked 2 days there last time and only had fast passes the first day. Ended up not riding anything of note the second day because the waits seemed unbearable. It's just so nice to be able to spend time all over the park without feeling rushed to get in line or by being bored in line.
@@supersanic1254 I had several waits on steel vengeance that were 1hr+ even with fast passes. Everything else was 60+ without fast passes. The park experience is going to be different based on what day you go... your experience is NOT typical at all, but I'm extremely envious of you. At my age, saving several hours of wait time for a couple hours of pay is an awesome trade.

Nice to see that Steel Vengeance's crew is pumping out trains like crazy, Millennium Force's crew is doing great, GateKeeper's crew is doing great. Ride ops like these make good operations possible at any park. Cedar point is a scary place, when I first went I got 3 new number 1s in the same day, it’s insane how good the rides are here compared to most European theme parks, wildfire was my number 1 before I visited, and after my time there it was my number 5, they really do it better in America

Cedar Point just does not do it for me anymore, went to it this year and I was not impressed with it ending a long run of parks. The ride ops have been absolutely terrible the past few years, Kings Island / Dominion make them look halariously bad. Other than that the park has not really gotten worse barring the loss of TTD until it is remade. The thing is that other parks have gotten better, I went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg this year and man that park is pretty world class.
I think my favourite part of this video is 8:47 because it shows one of the reasons Maverick is overrated. I prefer SV, MF, Gatekeeper, TTD (RIP kinda) and Raptor to Maverick, but at least it's better than Valravn. I'm curious how fast the average dispatch interval was for SV on this visit w two trains. BTW there's no bugs at night in May, (at least not in 2018). Thanks for posting this entertaining video!

We love Farmhouse for food, but our absolute fave for our family is Back Beat BBQ, and we looove their brisket. Our kids don't like the sides like the sweet potato fries or brussel sprouts at Farmhouse as much as my husband and I. 😂

I recently wen tot my home town park, the one coaster there is like 35 ft tall, but, it looked far larger than I remembered. I can't even imagine what Maverick is like lol. The tallest coaster I've been on was indoors, so, not sure if it really counts. But I didn't realize how thicc coaster rails are. I was like wtf.

Definitely do not need a fast lane at all to enjoy the park. Never waited more than 15 minutes for a coaster at CP.

We love Farmhouse for food, but our absolute fave for our family is Back Beat BBQ, and we looove their brisket. Our kids don't like the sides like the sweet potato fries or brussel sprouts at Farmhouse as much as my husband and I. 😂

I recently wen tot my home town park, the one coaster there is like 35 ft tall, but, it looked far larger than I remembered. I can't even imagine what Maverick is like lol. The tallest coaster I've been on was indoors, so, not sure if it really counts. But I didn't realize how thicc coaster rails are. I was like wtf.
Ok I kid you not, I was at Cedar Point (for the first time) on August 25 and 26, I was literally one day away from being in the same park as the coaster idiots!!
