Followed steps exactly and my nozzle is about an inch off the bed when trying to print. Why.

Look at about 4:52 of the video. Even with this small circle (not coming close to the maximum diameter for the printer), and even after auto-leveling, you can see that the nozzle at the far right and left (X+ and X-) sides is coming too close to the bed. This would be much worse at larger diameters, and makes it impossible to lay down a perfect first layer. The video quickly cuts to the next layer in what may be an attempt to hide the issue.
If this thing ever becomes available (has anyone actually seen the auto leveling kit for sale anywhere yet?), I question whether it will do much good.
Mike Lynch very good point - can I ask a silly question? - in that situation given that it’s clearly low in one ‘corner’, why not actually adjust the bed level (I’ve seen thumbscrew-type fittings somewhere) - would that be an easy way to solve the problem or is it always essential to calibrate the stepping of the three motors?
Thank you for commenting, Alex. I have the Anycubic pulley version and I have tried just about everything I have seen recommended online (and there are many, sometimes differing, opinions), including the thumb-screw adjusters.
The delta printer suggestion I now agree with most is that the bed must be perfectly square with (perpendicular to) the three columns - and that the nozzle must be perfectly centered in the columns for a delta printer to function properly. Unfortunately, I can find no (feasible) way to adjust as needed. When you tighten all the screws, things come out as they will - and again, no real adjustment is possible. The end stops at the top of the columns are used for leveling and centering the nozzle, but it’s impossible to get them to do both if the geometry isn’t perfect.
My problem is (just like is shown at 4:52), that motion is concave in one direction (like Y+/Y- in the video) and convex in the other (like X+/X- in the video). Only it is much worse on my printer. There is no calibration method I know of to correct the problem, so I’m assuming the problem is somewhere in the geometry of the printer. Again, I’ve checked and double checked and cannot find the source of the discrepancy. By the way, if you look carefully at the motions around 4:52, you will see that the same problem is starting on the left side. The circle just isn't big enough to fully show the issue.
Anycubic just agreed to send me the autoleveling kit (which they say is just now becoming available) in hopes that it will improve the issue. We’ll see.

You are still using Cura 15.04. Any official support for Cura 3 or at least Cura 2.x ?
Cura 3 is actually compatible! I tried it and it surprisingly worked!
Hello, I just received my Anycubic kossel (non plus version). It also comes with an automatic leveling kit (the image)
Now I also see two firmware links: Kossel_20170712 and ANYCUBICkossel Auto leveling_20171113
So the question is, what is different between two of this?
do I need to update that .hex auto leveling firmware to use my printer?

Hi, i'm waiting for the kit for my kossel plus, but i'm not sure about firmware.... i need to update it, ok, the update process is made with a file .hex and cura software... ok.
Now i'm working on stock firmware (change Z value or other) using the Arduino Ide... after the update i still use arduino ide or cannot use it anymore ?

Hello, I'm very dissapointed. When I use it, it goes outside the print surface and the steppers skip steps. It sounds awful! And yes, I'm using the normal Kossel version of the firmware (without Plus) "ANYCUBIC_Kossel 20171114.hex". I have the old Kossel Linear, bought in April 2017, with 200 mm diameter bed.
Available yet? And compatible with kossel mini?
I have received a Anycubic Kossel lineal plus with autolevel and does not store the new valor of z-offset on Eprom. Can you say me where can be the problem. Now i have a perfect 3dprinter that does not print correctly because i cant calibrate qith real z-offset.

Здравствуйте! А у меня авто калибровка не выполняется. 1 мотор едет вверх, а остальные тоят, или едут вниз. И он упирается экструдером в стойку. Всё подключено правильно. При "ручном" управлении с компьютера, все моторы работают нормально, каретки ездят правильно. Но стоит дать команду на самостоятельную езду, как он заглючивает. Смена прошивки результата не дала. =-(

I have the Latest version with the Auto Leveling V2 (Blue Ring at the tester its nozzle.) I have uploaded the V.2 Version according to this video. my Auto leveling is driving outside the Bed its Boundaries every time. When will you upload a NEW or Actual version of the Auto-level?
To be able to upload the hex file I have downloaded 15.04. 4 version of Cura as I could not find the menu to be able to upload hex file. anyways it works to a certain point then stops or in the worst-case scenario, it will break the printer its Carbon Rods or other damages! Waiting for the Update! as it is 04 May 2018.if there are any links showing a New Version We ( who bought the newer version) need this information. Or send me the Older Auto-Leveling!
I built my anycubic plus and when I plug it in my lcd screen is 2 rows of blocks?? How can I fix this I want to print? I fixed it! I had to manually find the right file and replace the one in the zip then my screen worked again.. I knew it was simple but no help from anycubic

On the anycubic page you will find firmware which is for older versions. On web you can find versions like Spike lee's 1.1.8 also with issues, yet beforehand you better learn for days what it is about a delta or other 3d printer. It is almost like that if you are not buying a printer rather than a collection of hardware which then it needs to be build up to a working printer. You may never think this is a 3D printer which ready to use at any stage! This is sold as kit but named 3d printer! which is it. Not a printer. A kit. If you are lucky you will have the patience learn everything around this topic of build your own 3d printer in Delta style then surely it will work but put a time frame of several weeks of testing, studying, learning! A printer will print, this needs much more upfront than just print.

Awful lot of steps there.. the thingiverse version was simply upload the firmware clamp the probe and run once then save.
But, I can edit the menus in the firmware to read 1... step, 2... step, 3... step so its not as difficult to remember. Will be looking for the kit.

"(Old Version)" Gentlemen Do you Have any "NEW VERSION"??? or Upload a video showing how we upload the hex files to the Board and after that it will work auto leveling. My linear plus does not work with your firmware it crashes into the Bed so it will be Broken all over soon. This is not Usual how People buy a product, and it will not work as it is shown in the Videos you are uploading.
I have old version as well. V1 firmware does not work also for me. I've installed V2 just to try and It works properly.
Honestly now I'm trying to configure a new firmware using last Marlin release (1.1.8).
