That's the most intelligent item in Dark Souls pvp tbh. I remember invading some obscure ring, light roll, latent, passive, turn and burn, fap ring forever, estus refill, shitter host on a 1 vs 1 a few years ago. I lost 3 hours of my life but realized that they end up playing alone IRL. After the first hour, noticed players kept dying and after another 30 min, players would BC. I didn't want to leave his world. there was a legit 30 min period where he got blocked by so many people and sat in his world empty as I kept punishing him, no time out or anything. Another invader came after another 15 min but they left asap. Eventually he ran to the fog wall as I played his game without getting the turn and burn. This how some players play the game. Then he messaged me, you need to chase after me. LOL. no I don't. TL:DR: Black Crystal could save 3 hours of your life against a useless shitter.

@@scrotemcboogerballs590 usually a solo host that hides in the game with the obscure ring and uses the ring of favour glitch to never lose stamina. Essentially playing insivible tag. Met a few, some people have no life or extremely bored
@@scrotemcboogerballs590 turn and burn is where you kite your opponent(s) into coming close to you then swinging your weapon at them when they get in range.
Every pontiff invasion is one of three different jokes and depending on the delivery its often enough fun that we keep coming back to hear them again

Low ping actually gives you a disadvantage against high ping players I myself have low ping and meta stuff and jeenine is massive tryhard which is funny you don't see it. So yeah not "every" host" that exploits lag uses tryhard meta build and nothing wrong with using it too when you exploit lag unless you lag switch then yeah that's shitty but someone with low ping because he lives in a country with slow ass internet at maximum and latency too doesn't mean someone asked for it
just when both are lagging obviously you won't exploit the chance lol unless you like to lose so I don't see what's wrong with using meta builds when you exploit laggy even tho not every host that exploits lag uses them. also there is no anything tryhard about a meta build it's the player who is the tryhard aka estus cancel and ringed knight cancel
The thing that is so maddening is that he clearly KNOWS that his light roll + latency + blood ring make him invincible when he rolls, and so he's incorporated panic rolling into his playstyle. The fishing attempts show that he's experienced, and the constant panic rolling has never cost him anything. I guarantee every build he has works like this, it is probably the only way he can play.
My justice pr0n would be flying a player like this to a location with solid internet. He can keep his build, just watch how quickly that shit gets shut right down.
my solution is having international coinvaders for international problems 🙂
he can roll out of every fishing attempt, because he has delay, there are not many players who knows how to punish that. So actually what he knows about fishing is just turn back, run, insta turn back and R1, most basic style. He doesnt know anything about fishing too

The problem is, it ultimately doesn't work. You can stall all you want, but stalling doesn't deal damage. As long as your opponents keep up the pressure, you'll make mistakes here and there, and those will add up over time.
You can't kill anyone without attacking. Having regen on shuts down his strategy without even having to heal. It's terrible.

I only started to understand how bad is fighting with latency when i got to fight someone with -50ms, it heaven, rollcatches are so easy in comparison
when you have that perfect connection or when they dont have the trash net it makes the game so much more fun, and i leap in joy because of how rare it is
@@dequavis4518 I've added hosts with low latency just to tell them how much of a joy it is to fight someone who isn't from the moon. Fortunately DS3ConnectionInfo can tell you who's in your world so you can BC out before you waste your time on someone at 400ms.

This is why I like mornes armor, on the left shoulder there a vertical plate and you can use it as a cross hair... I’m not the best with it yet but I reckon I can perfect it shortly

DS3 players: DS2 is so bad!!! Having a stat that increases iFrames was such a bad idea. Worst game in the series!!!1!1!1!

I watched a frame data breakdown of a similar scenario (Blood Ring + above average ping). Not only are you invincible longer than you're vulnerable, by the time the attack connects, the laggy target is already in the next cycle of invincibility. This desync make the target fully invincible as long as they're roll-spamming, which is the safest (and now unpunishable) move in Dark Souls 3.

for anyone that enjoys said game. my girlfriend got into dark souls and enjoys pvp, she beats me sometimes too when dueling. and she was far faaaar away from super duper ultra instinct gamer a year ago
I invade with 60-80-100 of ping. My net its bad, and i don't go to FC for the latency. But, my skill in the game its... actually bad for some reasons. My philosophy its: "If the host and phantoms have shiet net, my co-invader have the lag with his side."

I get matched up against chinese quite often and there is no way this isn't some sort of hack or glitch, even on latency there's always ghost hits that blood come out but doesn't do damage, this guy just I-framed the whole video rarely taking any ghost hits let alone normal hits, u can even roll catch australians if your timing is 100% perfect like you did with the rotten dagger at the start of the video but still zero hits, not even poison
This is an abomination. Stil I could be wrong because I never tested Bloodring on high lat but if it is THIS broken then surely we would see this kind of craziness more often.
@@yunmoonrouge767 Yeah, bc really is the best option sometimes, avoids a lot of stress, I wish there was more flags in blue sentinel so I could dc when someone is lagging alot, the game is kinda broke at 200+ latency

this is kinda why bloodring got abused so much back then.. all the people you fought who you thought were lag switching cause you didn't get hits or let alone phantom hits at a bare minimum were all most likely using bloodring. @@ericmotta1
This is why we need every weapon poison. Poison greatlance would be the perfect lat counter.
Ah, the so called Cartwheel warrior. Stratagem is 50% panic rolls, and 50% horrible net. And the sad thing is, it's a stratagem that works on an unhealthy amount of players.
I was thinking throughout the video that putting poison resin on your Great Lance might have worked, since he was rolling through 90% of your normal buffed hits. Prolly a poor substitute for a poison infused weapon, but needs must if in this case, your poison options were a little limited.
At 17:40, you slightly staggered him, but failed to damage him. So the game may make certain animations appear even when infinite I-frames will render the actual damage moot. This is sad.

You're absolutely right, my main gripe with this game is just how easy it is to dodge. Even the most trash players can basically access invuln with little practice, all they need to do is decide not to fight back.

It's not only some, it's most people. I play the PvP pretty routinely at this point and i definitely still consider it a joke along with every other Soulsborne game i've played. In most competetive games you don't have invincibility for most of the time playing, and the invincibility certainly doesn't increase with latency and desync in those games either. In most competetive games you need good hand eye coordination at the top level or at least a high amount of actions per minute. In Dark Souls 3 it's all about the glitch and OP strat/weapons knowledge.
Compare Dark Souls to something like Quake or Starcraft and the difference is insane in skill ceiling and competetive nature.
These games were never meant to be played competetive. Fromsoft could fix the glitches easily but i guess they despise this meta/tryhard section so much they rather leave it that way and hope the people leave their game at some point.

Souls isn’t a game designed for competitive pvp though it’s an action rpg where the developers focus is mainly on the pve. Only time From puts any effort into the pvp is after the games released with balance patches. It was never meant to be balanced or competitive like the other games you mentioned & this is coming from someone who has enjoyed souls pvp since og des came out. More players would enjoy it if they would stop trying to make it something that it’s not ala a fighting game
why and more importantly how can you compare souls to quake or starcraft? brother none of those games are even the same genre lmao. comparing quake to starcraft only beause they are both competitive games is also just not possible.

Hey, I got a question for anyone here, or G himself. In some of the invasions, I see you gain back 2 Estus sometimes. I was under the impression that phantoms and invaders only get one estus back, so how does that happen?
Whenever a blue dies, the invaders gain two Estus instead of the usual one.
You know this is like the only situation I think locked on XBow would've worked better

I feel like Jeenine gets to complain and many others do but majority aren't good enough and assume it's bloodring or some cheat. I've gotten several hate messages about this that I'm abusing bloodring with Aus net when I'm actually getting hit way more trying to reaction roll everything even with checking recording after.

Im kinda new to pvp, i mean i get he has annoying tactics and bad net, but how is he bad? U have to roll away from attacks, besides parries thats the only way you don’t get damaged (and shields but he doesn’t have one equipped) I don’t get what else he is supposed to do against two invaders other than roll away, create distance, and chip away at health until he is in a good enough position to be the aggressor. Bad cuz panic rolls? What else are u supposed to do if ur panicking? I don’t mean to offend anyone I just don’t see what other options the guy has, or how he’s bad. If you have any opinions to the contrary i’d love to hear it, I’m sure it would help my pvp as well!
He's bad because he can't reaction roll his way out of a paper bag. His setup(high latency, lightroll and bloodring) allows him to literally dodge the world if he would have had solid dodging/spacing skills. Instead, he's just panic rolling like a tool and ds3's shitty net code still allows him to get away lol.

Normally you can roll catch people spamming dodge, but bad latency takes away that option too
@@abigcupofwater I gave up on pvp when a dude mistimed a parry and still manage to roll out of the way of my fully charged heavy that would’ve ended the fight. I attempted to punish someone for healing in my face and they somehow managed to parry me! It almost fell purposeful like I was baited which is absolute BS!

The estus thing may very well have been intended, there are strategies that take advantage of lag. Barker bomb bait is the same thing (throw a firebomb, then parry. People tend to think they can punish the firebomb, but they can't). And latency makes it even more unclear

@Captain_Morgan DWGR and equip load have no interaction as far as I know. It has its own set s and recovery frames.
Backstab has priority over roll. You can suck them in from 2 screens away.
DWGR so stupidly overpowered that the only real counter to it is to BS it.
@@jimmyrustles358 they do, there are different speeds of flip and fast roll depending on equip load, and there are definitely ways of rollcatching flip other than bs, furysword is excellent at roll catching and gc and black flame are decent as well, of course repeated high lat flips can give you situations like the one in this vid here
@@plock8572 If you BS someone is DS1, the BS animation plays no matter what. They can't keep running. You will need a flip ring of course, but flip ring is the best ring in the game.

It took 20 minutes with help of the other phantoms to finally kill this guy. Yeah, it was Bloodring and fast roll, but he wasn't lagging much (by Dark Souls standards). Just pay attention to the thrown knife at the beginning.
JeeNiNe keeps whining about the ring, the ping, the fast-roll, but at the same time he abuses the ring swap, estus cancel etc. He whines about the host running away, but you know, there was like 3 phantoms after him. He wasn't running away when it was 1v1.
The point is - JeeNiNe has massive ego and skill issue. Git gud

I've seen worse latency, but it was the combination of light roll + blood ring + latency that did the trick.
And yes, he was running away when it was 1v1, just not nearly as aggressively. Maybe "running away" is too strong, but he was very passive.
What's frustrating is that the game is broken in such a way that it makes a playstyle like this tenable. The guy was an awful player, but difficult to kill because of his lat. He knows it too, which is why he light rolls with blood ring. It's a setup that screams, "I'm awful, so I'm going to leverage my net"

@@demonhedgehog3774 Because he doesnt have to. The environment they invade in is very different, chase invades pvers and when he does encounter a glitcher he uses them too. Jeenine however invades on ps4 where there's no wexdust, and alongside his reputation as one of the best players all he gets is dedicated tryhard ganks abusing everything possible to win against him. Chase on the other hand is just a content creator, he's not bad, he's probably mid tryhard tier at best.
