The way Claire defined beauty of the fort despite having such bad experiences tells how mature and down to earth she is. Sorry for the experiences you had. Surely as Indians we need to step up and make improvements in the system so that amazing people like you keep visiting and freely enjoy architecture, culture , food, etc. in your time in India 🇮🇳.

Heyy im Lina from Germany and I currently live and work here in Jaipur 🙋‍♀️☺️ it was really interesting to see other foreigners real experiences with Jaipur because in the Videos I’ve watched so far everything was being romantasized and not the reality. Although Jaipur is a beautiful city it is really hard to live here as a foreign girl because of the constant attention laying on you. It feels like you are watched from everywhere and also very often filmed or photographed. I personally would recommend to cover your shoulders and legs as a tourist because that’s what’s making me feel safer ( it is not a must but my personal experience)
Many Indians are not used to see western people in real life, the only way they see them the most time is in movies or advertisements. That is why they are flashed if such a person that is normally just on the screen suddenly appears in their reality. Many are fascinated but at the same time many also want to make profit because they try to sell you everything at least double the price. India is a country of huge contrasts and my thoughts about this country are so far very mixed. But I try to stay open minded and if you are you can learn so much from this country and the people.
(PS: everything I wrote is not meant to be against Indians it is only my personal experience from the months I’ve been here☺️ )

Hi Claire, just watching your video. I was born and brought up in Jaipur only settled in Australia from many years now. I am shocked to see the locals are doing such bad things to the foreigners these days. I am feeling very bad and sad. But apart from the bad experience I am glad that you have actually liked the Amer fort. It is one of our icon of Jaipur.

I am sorry for your bad experience. The guide and hawkers part is true for everyone which should be stopped by authorities but till then I would suggest you to just get 1 guide so not every other person is bothering you even if you really don't want to hear the guide :D.
