parrying and blocking is in genshin is just that we dont use that beidou yunjin candace parries and these will be in ZZZ tho hoyoverse said you want parries ? Play ZZZ lmao Like what the fuck
@@DrVeritasRatio True. Should be a standard feature though and baked into the gameplay mechanics IMO - Same as something like wall-running and ledge vaulting. Beidou and Yunjin really only fit into a handful of teams, certainly when it comes to meta concerns, but also just in terms of what they bring to the table.
It was also one of the worst parries mechanically i ever tried in any game, these devs just cant make good gameplay, look at every other game of theirs, literally the best you get are some qtes paired with braindead combat.
There're some of the biggest prime examples that you missed as well. - Why is the archon statue healing still limited? We have so many characters with "press E to heal" that this playtime limiting feature should be removed at this point. Not to mention that you often have to hug the statue for it to heal you. - Making claymore characters the only one who efficient at mining is a total pain in the ass. In Wuwa, any melee characters can be used to mine.
- The Archon Statue healing is an issue that I really noticed when I started playing WuWa. When you teleport to a statue, you are too far away from it, so you have to walk to the statue and wait to get healed. In WuWa you just get a full heal while teleporting and can run off from the Resonance Nexus immediately after it loads. - It's not just melee characters that are good at mining in WuWa. Gunners are a bit annoying because they don't seem to auto-target ore, but you can blast ore deposits if you're facing the right way. Baizhi is actually the best miner that I've found so far, even more so than broadblade characters. Use her heavy attack to get her minion spinning in place and then move it over the ore. Auto-pickup on the ore is also really nice in WuWa. Manually picking the ore up adds nothing to Genshin.
@@MauveButterflyyup i noticed that too. Im so used to wuwa healing statue that i keep teleporting away eventhough my characters havent healed yet. It made me so mad because i need to go back again
Genshin has something that can not be beaten. A brainless fanbase. They dont care about anything. I feel its the same with Pokemon Fans. Having stupid casuals as your playerbase just guarantees success no matter what you do. I will stick to WuWa. And yeah...the momentum while falling is also something I have noticed.
i stop playing genshin long ago not because game got boring but the dumbass playerbase suking off mihoyo and saying shit like its free game be gratefull and stuff, like u cant even complain about anything I didnt wanna be seen as genshin player so i quite, but til wuwa no other game has this feeling for me even wuwa dont but atleast they are trying to make it better so i feel like i can stick to this game hoping it will get real good later down the line
This is the problem when your game is TOO casual, those F2Ps come and go, they never spend and as such have no expectations or standards, the F2P majority community itself then cannibalises itself and pushes those who want changes out.
I feel the same way. I don’t even want to log in to Genshin now. I want to uninstall too. The only thing that keeps me second guessing myself is the amount of money I’ve dumped into that game. I have more fun in Wuthering Waves and I believe it is an overall better game in its core mechanics.
@@kongcrit i needed 143 pulls for yinlin (71 jianxin and 72 for yinlin) which sucks BUT its the worst luck and if it was genshin it would be at 160+ pulls
I continue to play Genshin for the story but I haven't even started the new Archon Quest, the lack of skip button for some trivial, unnecessarily long scenes discourages me from doing it straight away 😂
I did play it and it was surprisingly short I thought, and didn't go as "deep" as I'd have liked. The carrot on the stick with regard to unravelling main plot for me is also something I've gotten tired of at this point to be honest.
@@anagramhound nothing actually The only thing worth remembering in that quest was all the names of the sinners , that Dain told us Only 2 line in that quest is lore Rest is unnecessary ☠️☠️
i know it's a subjective point but since WW seems to be going in that direction: far more challenging and skill-based combat is the number one thing that drew me to wuthering waves, apart from a few character designs and the movement. it's so refreshing to finally be able to play in this game what i've been asking from another game for years, and to finally be punished for failing to evade boss attacks, and rewarded for playing well, all while being allowed to build who i want how i want, it feels great. challenging myself in wuthering waves is just so fun, it's exactly what i've been looking for in this type of game for so long. i'll have to see what the game's future holds and what changes they make before i play long term, since i'm not as attached to the genre as some, but i have high hopes for now.
I'm totally with you on this. What's the point of having such an in-depth combat system in Genshin when you're barely using any of it. The bosses aren't really challenging, there's just a lot of waiting involved when bossing. Dang, bossing in wuwa just feels good. When you dodge perfectly and the sound fx plays, it just feels so satisfying. The same with counters, the metal clang plays and the boss is open for a few quick attacks. It just hits different. And then you have the elusive realm which let's you live out your best solo character fantasy. Combat is celebrated in Wuwa and you enjoy just dominating the enemies in the world. Genshin's focusing more on story, which is great if it was fun, but it's just text after text. Nothing really exciting by comparison 😥
It's better to leave late than not leave at all. Genshin will never change, don't even hope for that. This company earns 150-200 million $ every single month just from Genshin and HSR combined, they have no reasons to change anything
but why they should change? catering to casuals is the thing that brings money and lets be real, hc players are (loud) minority. Gi was casual game from the start, focus is in story and open world. You are delusional if you thought GI would become a hardcore grindy game lol
@@sonjab.6852 nobody asked it to be grindy. It's just now too boring with the same format of stuff getting added with no new content that everyone can enjoy other than story. Look at the newly released game wuwa, it has 3 endgame modes and still is designed to be entertaining for casuals. Those 2 newly added endgame mode doesn't take huge time nor grinding to do. It's relatively easy and enjoyable if you're doing it right. I did both tactical holograms and illusive realms on my 2nd account and it took only 5-6 hours in total. And it can be done over the whole month so casuals don't need to worry. Plus I can still grind to get some extra stuff like echos and skins that doesn't really add to progression that much so grinding extra doesn't have much advantage. People can grind all they want killing overworld echos and still have shitty stats for rng. In my main account (in which I grinded very hard) I don't have many good echos because of rng. But in my 2nd account (I don't grind much on it) I got lucky and ironically it's stronger than my main account.
I played genshin from day 1. It was the first time I played such kind of open world gacha game. I was great. But it gradually dies down, everything repeated, nothing new that can hook me into the game. Then I decided to quit the game in Inazuma patch. I still watch cutscenes and listen to the music from genshin, but I just don't want to play the game anymore.
The chest opening and events gave me ptsd for real. Best decision to uninstall. It takes real talent to make event after event of cancerous ideas. Even HSR events are fun, it’s like genshin has a narcissistic abusive relationship with their players. I just can’t fathom how this company doesn’t get more criticism. Open world element can only carry the game so far.
I think Genshin may be the first-ever gacha open world game WuWa is really the only real competition (unless you consider ToF), though there are more coming later this year
It took me until the 4th time quitting to truly quit Genshin like 2 years ago. I had a C3 Ganyu too but so my aspects of the game kept me from enjoying the game and I just had enough.
Thats a shame you only experienced up to inazuma, essentially the lowest point of the game story and exploration wise, the game pretty much gets good only after Inazuma
honestly, the genshin community is definitely something else, like their willingness to defend a game that has forsaken us it like a whole new world. giving us 3 pulls for 3 years of support was probably the last straw for many people. as well as the free skin selector ONLY if you buy a PS5 or smt(limited to china no clue why). BUTT despite all of this, people are still willing to defend the heads of genshin to this day. we have already seen the nicer side of hoyo devs in star rail and i wish only the same to ZZZ(i wont be playing ZZZ so i will only hear about its developments from friends and yt). Even after sending in feedback forms there are barely any changes to the game so it begs the question what are the feedback forms at the end of each patch even for?? and also the white knights of genshin really need to accept the fact that genshin devs can do so much more instead of waiting for a new competitor to come and then release something we want, thats too late by then. Back in genshin 1.0, there were bugs still, although not as bad, there were still bugs but the white knights act as if the bugs never existed back then. Further more they say genshin 1,0 story quest is way better than wuwa 1.0 story, to some extent yes but honestly if you look at it from a story pov, both were equally boring imo, though i liked the cutscenes from both. Unless we see some change, i would say there will be players who will no longer be willing to play the game daily, probably once in a while cause of sunk cost fallacy and how much we spent.
I wish they kept the old story for WuWa. If they optimized the performance and kept the old story for the western releases, this game would beat Genshin straight out of the water!
It reminds me that GI rewards it's playerbase with a "fowls". That's the sign that snapped me and stopped playing this GI and never ever touched it again. Mihoyo just like to messed around it's own playerbase.
@@raypan421 I didn't watch the previous story so I can't rlly say much but I think some parts of the current story is quite likeable, but majority of the story is kinda boring? similar to GI 1.0 story tbh, I found some parts interesting but majority I found boring as well
Collabs in Genshin were also so fucking terrible. Or was it only one collab? and it was just them giving Aloy as a unit. WITH NO STORY, NO EVENTS, NO CONSTELLATIONS, NO REWARDS. what the f
I didnt know genshit had collabs *ehem* horizon zero dawn *ehem* i cant even call that a collab even arknights has better collab than genshit and they are just a tower defense game.
They did Aloy so dirty. Made her bottom tier and ridiculous to build on top of everything else you said. I hope WuWa gets collabs and does them much better
so there are a lot of people the same page as me. i love genshin's story. but i can't bear how slow geshin is being played now i experienced wuwa. it's sad that hoyo is the one making it's player stay away from it..
Wuwa wasn't my genshin killer, but Hsr was. They aren't incapable of improving the game they simply refuse to. They just keep on pushing out characters with nothing new to use them for. Even the story doesn't keep me around anymore. Recently tried to do the latest quest and as soon as Katherine started talking I logged off lol. I agree with this video and the points you made. I feel like alot of people are at this point, and maybe don't want to believe it due to the amount of money they spent.
@@gnw_AstA I'm glad I never felt that. I left genshin with 20 more days for my monthly subscription.😂 Of course , I quit Genshin after giving WuWa 3 days to make me interested first.
I probably won't uninstall Genshin but man, my motivation to play it is not there anymore. I still love the game but just thinking about doing story quests and listen to Paimon's yapping, I am being disheartened to do it.
I get you 100%, but I do find Paimon pretty adorable lol. Still, I get you. We can both agree that the optional skip button is something that should absolutely be there, but I don't think it will ever happen. For me that motivation has just fizzled out. When I got to the point just recently where I flat out didn't want to force myself to log on that was just it, and I have an alternative now that I much prefer, which also seemingly has greater prospects to change and evolve meaningfully over time. While WuWa has been rocky at launch in a number of ways, they've been fixing things up pronto with some great compensation at that, and they actually seem to listen to criticism, which is amazing. Ultimately, I'm more optimistic about WuWa's future than I am Genshin' by a clear mile. It is what it is.
I started getting back to it after a year or so because I wanted Clorinde. I just collect some chests and stuff, maybe check out the story for some time. In total I probably don't spend more than 1 hour, but over time I might catch up with story and exploration. Maybe even start enjoying the story again, idk. I mean, don't be pressured to sit down and complete everything in one day, that's just impossible.
@@egeyaln8223 An important mindset for sure. For me, I am the type of person that likes to delve into content updates quite heavily and early, but I've been that way since the start. It's the lack of evolution of the game for me that's ultimately been the cause of me distancing myself from it and leaving. The amount of QoL features for this type of game that I've seen from day 1 in WuWa versus Genshin's lack of the same thing just can't be ignored. Especially when we've been asking for these things for so long from Hoyo only to just get nothing. It's so incredibly disrespectful to me.
No matter how much i try to force me to open genshin i just can't do it...i got my ps just for genshin cuz my pc was bad but now it stays silent... i got a new pc for wuwa :|
I always hated that It was so you were forced to log in on days to boost their player playtime It’s why so many of their sidequests are unbearably verbose and take forever too The skip button in wuwa for the side quests is a godsend But I actually did pay attention to the main and character stories Wuwa act 1-2 are not amazing but it gets much better later on I think they may have actually changed/cut too much since yuanwoo is just sort of there with no introduction Still despite the rocky start they stuck the landing I do hope they learn from this though, from what I understand PGR story actually gets very good later on so it’s not like they can’t write
Yet another very valid piece of criticism. The fact that you have to wait for certain days to be able to get certain materials in domains is silly, and another thing that Kuro improved upon for their own game by doing away with it.
@@Atomixi That's the one thing that drew me away from GI, like when i see WuWa's map, and how kuro put _A domain for every materials ingame_ i was shocked like "Huh huh huh so i don't have to wait until Wednesday to build my Yinlin !?!???😮😮😮"
Elden ring is what awakened me to how shit the exploration feels in genshin. I absolutely cannot stand running out of stamina every 5 seconds while running AND having no mount or vehicle of any kind.
@@Kittysune12ma brother why do you hate wuwa so much? did the developers do something to you or what? you are always in any video related to wuwa, for being a person who hates the game like there is no tomorrow, you are always here looking for what to say or criticize, can you really tell me exactly what the reason for your hatred and toxicity is? The reason why you and other toxics supposedly hate the game is because it's a bad copy of genshi? that's why you hate the game? damn, so if one day you have children who look like you, are you going to hate them too?
I played Genshin for 2+ years and quit months back then. I got mostly frustrated at looking how the same company, treated the players for their different games. The only thing I miss about Genshin now is the story, but that could be easily follow up since there are content creators covering it. I agree with the points stated in your video. For me, little things that I wanted in Genshin showed up in WuWa which made me happy such as: - Customizable food slot which we can use in the main interface - Gadget that shows chests in the overworld - Auto approve friend requests to join world - Increased limit for Waveplates (I kinda hope they allow us to store waveplates like condensed resin)
Yeah, some good points and little QoL improvements you mentioned that that would have also been welcome. I think the lootmapper in WuWa is the way to do that system, versus what it's been in Genshin with the treasure compasses... Story stuff as you say, I'll likely be just doing that. There'll be no shortage of story coverage on YT in the future, and I won't have to put up with gameplay I no longer enjoy so consuming it in that format would be a win for me and from my perspective at least.
At this point. The only thing attaching me to the game is the archon story. I can't go through another event of managing potions, or petting cats! Like WTF!. I am so glad WuWa is out, cause it's time to take a big break from genshin. My wallet is also going towards WuWa, it's the only way to tell mihoyo they have to work harder on their game!
Mihoyo is not listening to their community is bc they made way more money that they doesn't need to listen at all, cuz no matter what they still getting hundreds of millions, while WuWa on the other hand, they are serious abot making the game good and successful enough to be on Genshin level, so they're very active with their community.

So true. I'm a day 1 GI player and the only reason that i keep playing that game is cuz of the story. But i also came to a pt now that I feel the company's neglect with Genshin. I mean HSR players are treated differently and maybe ZZZ players as well but whatever, i'm so done. I will not spend on that game anymore. I have 10 days till my Welkins expire then that's it. Prolly pull for a char who looks interesting but i'm all for WuWa now after all the generosity and care they provide to the players and not just that, the gameplay is really right up my alley. Char designs and their gameplay are much more diverse, not just copy past of another. With so much more interesting characters coming in WuWa like Jinshi, Changli, Camelya, Scar, GenshiLun, etc. i'm so hyped. Also they're planning of adding more endgame contents (adding Crownless hologram challenge) as well which i really appreciate. UL is not just capped at 60 but it will go beyond 100 prolly. Just so much stuff to look forward to in WuWa.
Same, furina is probably the last character i pull for( i have been waiting for months so i need to get her, she is cute too) i stopped spending money on genshin and now only spend on wuwa. I feel lucky that i only dumped around $10 into genshin. Spent the rest on HSR and wuwa. And thank you for letting me know that we are getting a crownless hologram. I LOVE THAT DUDE
Bruh imagine how much players would whine if all genshin did was add a single new enemy to fight, yet y’all are actually praising Kuro for adding a single hologram 😭 the disconnect from reality with current wuwa stans is actually insane, Kuro is fleecing you guys in ways hoyo could only dream about 😂
"They don't care about you and you defend them. Why? What the fuck?" This is why I compare Genshin players to someone trapped in an abusive relationship. I called it quits after 4 years and now struggle to even check in when there is an update.
Thats a very good comparison ! Once you invested time and money in a relationship you’re kinda “afraid” to leave because you invested so much . Hoyo , use the same psychology on us .
Its hilarious how you compare liking the game to the abusive relationship lol. Have u ever been in a abusive relationship? if not, shut up. Its fine if you dont like playing Gi but saying that everyone who likes genshin being stupid thats just mean. genshin haters are in another level, insulting other people over a game lmao
@@sonjab.6852 Case in point. But to be fair I'm going to make the assumption that you are rational and not overly emotional about a video game. If you enjoy something enjoy it with your whole heart. No one is telling you not to like what you like. The only one applying the abusive relationship comparison to the entire player base is yourself in your own post. There are a lot of very vocal and outspoken people making emotionally charged statements in defense of Genshin anytime even the slightest criticism gets spoken. These people exist and let you know it. This is a simple fact. These people are acting like abuse victims who find leaving terrifying even though logically they know they're being mistreated.
@@dearikj90 I've seen way, way more blind bashing of the game from videos like this one. A lot of the changes proposed here would be awful for Genshin to actually implement. I don't want Genshin's combat to turn into a discount DMC clone and I don't know why anyone who claims to like the game would. Same with exploration. It works in WW because the world is designed from the ground up to support that. If you threw the same systems into Genshin you would completely remove all challenge or engagement from navigating the game's world. The only thing that could actually be beneficial to Genshin in that regard without making exploration mindlessly boring is the ability to climb up overhangs. I mean there are some seriously dumb takes here, the comparison on their movement alone would be like saying that BotW is trash because you can't wall run with infinite stamina, with zero consideration on how allowing that would destroy the game's exploration The combat comparisons are dumb too because the games set out to do fundamentally different things with their combat. Genshin's aim is to have players experiment with the reactions and figure out different ways to apply and combine them. That's really fun to do when you aren't building all of your teams off of a spreadsheet. WW aims to combine classic character action game design like DMC or Bayonetta with the trappings of open world RPGs. That's interesting, but I can't help but be put off by it when the community uses this very much not unique combat system to dogpile a game with completely different design philosophies when it comes to combat. This would be like criticizing Fire Emblem (can't really think of a good comparison for Genshin, even other elemental combat systems handle the elements very differently from it) because it doesn't have Metal Gear Rising combat. If they tried to implement this into Genshin, it would destroy the game's combat system because it would completely remove the focus from elemental reactions.
@@danielhounshell2526 combat comparison is the dumbest comparison. If Genshin going for WuWa-like combat, what's the point of the elemental reaction then? Both game going different combat style yet ppl think one is better like what? Its like saying I like chess better than mahjong, so mahjong is trash lmao just because both are board game. Anyway, I'm at UL45 in WuWa, so don't get me wrong. But whenever WuWa fans (sometimes Genshin fans too) making dumb comparison, it gives me brainrot and shows how toxic both fans and most of them think like they're not bruh. Its Dota vs LoL all over again.
Genshin players have complained for years and pleaded with hoyoverse to add more QoL improvements to the game. When HSR came out, people compared the two games and looked at HSR and how much more generous it was compared to genshin. But all of a sudden, the argument has become "genshin has no major problems" or "we can't compare the two games" once wuwa came out. The stockholm syndrome in genshin players is honestly kinda insane
@@tomlong7619 no dude the Genshin director Cai was the previous Mihoyo CEO, he still has powers within the company because he was one of its creators. As for Honkai director that's David Jiang he is the reason why Honkai Impact and Star Rail are so friendly
Sort of. HSR started really well, but 6 months in, and the genshin BS was already creeping in ( repeated actions in the same quests, circular progression, aka: going nowhere, low rewards for hyperconvoluted puzzles/quests, gimmiks and feet dragging dynamics, distracting mechanics in the story telling, damage sponge mobs). A year after release it still a nice game, 10 minutes log in, despite the multiple end game modes that became repetitive very fast. In comparison with genshin, HSR still MUCH better, but what spells troubles is the usual Yoyoverse signature mark of caring about farming players time ( aka: inflating artificially the game lifespan), more than the actual gameplay. WuWa is newly released, Kuro built up quite a good reputation over time, so we'll see how it works out on the long run.
I only started playing Genshin about 6 months ago. I'm still going to play it because I find it fun, but I'm going to go full casual (maybe log in 3-4 times a week to do dailies, etc) and no more Welkin and Battle Pass. I think if you still draw some emotional value from the game, going fully F2P is the best way to enjoy it. Otherwise, my co-op group is going to shift fully to WuWa. We started with WOW and EQ, so WuWa actually fits our playstyle more.
I was a day one player. I quit Genshin a little more than a week ago. After playing Wuwa I realised I hate the elemental system and I hate that my characters in genshin are just glorified elemental applicators. I love that in Wuwa you play the character. In Genshin? QE, next character, QE next, QE next. You are just spamming ultimate and skill never using the character to the fullest. In Wuwa normal attacks finally used. Also, seeing that the devs are aware of the community, meanwhile Hoyo couldn't give a single flying f*ck about what people think.
This is why when I still played, on field characters dps instead of hyperbloom nonsense lol. Taser Kokomi on one half, Diluc and Noelle for the other. Never quite 36 starred because artificial hp bloat but at least I played my characters lol
Genshin's combat's going further and further down since they can't seem to escape from making new parasitic mechanics. Like holy fck BoL is pretty much only to be used meaningfully by 2 characters that are essentially that mechanic and some element. Burning's become so meaningless that they had to add an artifact that's,, again, pretty much the only thing that makes burning meaningful. Ever since dendro came they seem to have run out of ideas.
The BoL is the worst thing they've added to the gameplay system, imo. I don't like it. It's just a lazy way for them to make the characters more "skill based" if that's how they define it. Why couldn't they rework crystalize? Geo has been in the dumps for a very long time now. I just don't understand why they're steering away from stuff that players really complain about.
@@devilkazumi578 Now that you mention shatter, WuWa got their own version of shatter in Ilusive Realm gameplay and what makes it amazing is that a defend-then-counter attack type of character like Taoqi with a defensive Echo that is Geochelone is absolutely broken with it and dealt way more damage than even DPS characters and there's the added advantage of shields to take hits. It's like Beidou and a shield granting/buffing artifact combo being absolutely broken.
The combat in Wuwa is slightly above generic. How much have you been paid tho? Do you actually think a bit more fast-pacedness is gonna make the world turn in the opposite direction?
Not really I told them to remove woke transgender character Mortefi and remove Lingyan EN VA for bigotry and spreading missinformation and supporting child abusers.
Day 1 player here, and yea, it got stale after Inazuma, switched to casual in Ekanomiya. Then I got a chance to play wuwa cbt1 and oh boy, Genshin doesn't feel the same after that.
I felt so great and free after deleting Genshin after 1.5 years of playing it (versions 2.1-3.6). It was fun at first and it gave me some warm memories, I cleared 100% of every region before Sumeru, did every quest, secret, collected everything. Bad thing started when I reached endgame and there was nothing interesting left to do, except clearing map, which became a chore at this point, and devs made no changes back then already. I had such big hopes for a good future, but as time went I believed in the game less and less, I logined just to do dailies, until I decided to quit. I wouldn't recommend for anyone to play this game everyday and clear everything. Just do the parts you think are interesting, and if you do not like it the way it is, quit immediately. It will save so much time. One more thing, after thinking that Hoyo are just super lazy, greedy, fat bastards, I started disliking them. But after getting introduced properly to HSR, then Honkai impact, then everything else, it's only Genshin that is getting them bad reputation. Genshin is Hoyo, but Hoyo isn't Genshin.
People who use the word bastard tend to be evil woke Starbucks nerds that cry about their first world problems. Like the oppressed minorities of WHATEVERTHEHECKtan and not getting enough pulls in an anime open world game.
I really, REALLY love every character has to use EVERY SINGLE PART OF THEIR KIT to be good. Supports like Verina will be just ult and swap in Genshinm while you can even do damage and can only heal with player input with her air attacks and heavy. And not only that items, skills and passives work with a fixed time rate of 15 seconds, enough time to swap to a character and do all their combos and then swap. They encourage you to use EVERY character equally, making your buffs and effects dance around like a rhythm.
Yep, 100%. It's weird how Genshin just isn't like this and you'll only use one, maybe two parts of most character's actual kits. A lot of them are just horribly wasted and it sucks.
@@Atomixi Characters like Daijin and Sanhua feels like 5 stars in Genshin. They have so much combo chains, strategies and do damage(unheard of from Genshin 4* unless it's the outlier Xiangling). They newest character Clorinde in Genshin Impact is the best example of description bloat. She has a wall of text but all it does is just what Tartaglia has been doing since 1.1 with NO EXTRA STEPS. Their gameplay has evolved none at all within these 4 years.
😐 It's pathetic that people clung to such a mid game with terrible treatment from the devs. People shouldn't have been so weak that they had to continue to play until WuWa came out. It's a sign of poor mental wellness. I hope people who are finally set free from Genshin, will not allow themselves to fall into the same trap again with another game or in some other aspect of their lives. If you're in a bad relationship or you're doing something that you don't enjoy, that's draining you, and serves no positive benefit to your life ontop of that... then you should have enough strength of will to turn away and leave it behind. A lot of people have adopted different forms of mental illness during covid. But Genshin made it worse long-term for many people. I hope everyone takes the time to heal and do better for themselves going forward. Good luck.
I never enjoy playing that game, I came back and play for maybe 2 months to clear out abyssal, new bosses, endgame contents to see how it goes. And honestly, it kept getting worse, combat is full of bullshit with weird bugs you have to keep spamming burst and redo rotation, new enemies getting fill up with elemental shields and continuous hitboxes expected to somewhat make it “difficult” to fight, boss has 75% dmg reduction in order to waste your time by digging deep into the ground and literally popup as a punching bag…… you have to keep building new teams not because of the character is cool and you enjoy playing it, its because it will make your life thousand times better. It is pure laziness from devs when it come to combat and gameplay, 4 years and nothing changed, still the same feeling i had “urgh…. I dont wanna go through these lame dialogues to unlock new region etc.” i rather log in to mh and fight Fatalis for 10 hours than doing these things in genshin.
Tbh its such a pain to do all the quest and side quest in genshin i cant get anything down bc of how bored i am it would be fine if its for the unvoiced quest but no skip button for either
I cant remember the last time i play Genshin, probably 3 years ago. Spend quite lot of money in the games and still thinking thats the worse decisions i've ever made. I wonder if i quit this games, will i ever find peace? thinking about money i'd spend to pull on first banner Venti and Eula. After doing lot of self reflect, i quit Genshin for goods and finally i found peaces at last. It is the best decisions. Dont get me wrong. It was a great games but the feelings is not there anymore. I'm pretty hesitate to play WuWa at first but after 3 days launch, i decided to give this games a try and i'm having a blast. The characters, the gameplay, the aethetics and atmospheres of it is really capturing my eyes to keep playing more. It was a fresh experiences, good as new for me. I think Kuro knew what people want and this is it. This is what i want for my games. Thank you for reading.
I've been with genshin since it first came out and I have to say I feel exactly what you guys experience. Even though the amount of money I deposit into genshin is not small, I often feel very unsatisfied with what they provide in return, in stark contrast to Wuwa. So I stopped paying monthly for this game and switched over ...
if you have done some overworld exploration in WuWa and then go back to Genshin, it feels like Mihoyo has broken your legs and put you in a wheelchair.
I'm on 4 years myself as well. Haven't spent a dime on Genshin since the 3 pull reward fiasco on the recent anniv. At this point just doing the bare minimum and logging out. I'm freeloading to finish the story. I can understand if ppl quit the game entirely. I have a couple of friends who have uninstalled the game as well, which is probably best for their peace of mind. They're doing the same as you for story, since there are lore masters on youtube that summerize all the lore anyway. So, I don't think you'll miss out on much.
Right there with you 100%. Like I mentioned in the video, I know the game didn't come out in the best state for many people, but their actions so far speak volumes about their intent and level of care.
The stagnation of Genshin really does suck to see, because despite it all, I can tell many players were passionate about the game, but I'm glad people are able to find a nicer and more welcoming experience in WuWa. Since day one I've been having nothing less of a good time, and I can say that despite the mishaps and bugs they need to work through, Kuro Games really is trying to make something amazing out of WuWa, and they've definitely got my full support and excitement for what comes next. Hope everyone--new or experienced--continues to enjoy their time in WuWa, and is just as excited as I am to see where these waves take us next.
blocking & parrying, they already implemented em during one of the event in inazuma. i cant remember which patch but the blueprint is already there why dont they make it a permanent feature. ive given up genshin for months after 1000+ days of playing.
Because teams. What is the point of parrying when you have shielders who can mitigate dmg and provide interruption resistance. In PGR for example, a few characters can parry/counter such as phys Kamui, Wanshi, Chrome Glory (cannot remember the rest of the roster, been a long time) but that does not mean everyone needs to be able to parry. The ability to parry should be a unique trait of a character not a cheap bargain.
I want to start out by saying congratulations on breaking out of the prison that is Genshin Impact. At the same time, it absolutely baffles my mind how many people are now "waking up" and quitting Genshin when all these issues with it were extremely clear from the beginning. As someone who saw them from the beginning I quit about 8 months into the game's release and like you said, the story was the only thing that was really keeping me around. The overall problem is that people want to defend multi million/billion dollar companies as if that company actually gives a shit about them and it was incredibly apparent that on top of Mihoyo's clear greed, the player base was actually a massive part of the reason that even small changes to improve QoL never came to be. It worries me that so many of these complacent Genshin players are now moving over to Wuwa because they simply lack any self control or self respect in my eyes. As consumers we have the power to vote with our dollar but if people keep giving money to a company that provides a sub par or even terrible game or service... what is even the point of that company changing at all. We already have players saying that we don't need the echo system to change and that "its supposed to be that way so we don't quit" or that in Genshin it took longer to get geared up so it's not even that bad. All I can say is that if a game needs to put you on a massively time gated RNG grind to keep you interested, it was never a good game to begin with. So far Kuro has been great at listening to feedback but I'm worried as more and more Genshin players move over, the overwhelming majority of players will again become indifferent to issues with the game's experience, however big or small and as a result Kuro will end up stagnating the same way that Mihoyo has.
I'm with you, let's congratulate those who have been prisoned by GI, especially those who just "waking up" realizing the faults of the game. I was day 1 player but left very early at 1.2 (zhong banner + childe fight got nerfed) cuz i already had the feeling of hoyo wouldn't listen no matter what after the amount of surveys i've had put in, such as resin regen + refill, amount of gems obtained, proper endgame, and voila, they really didn't listen at all. I'm really glad i left at that very moment. I agree with your points, and if i'm allowed to add, the very reason of hyv became so greedy was the playerbase came from those who didn't play games prior to GI, or didn't play any gacha games prior to GI. To note i've played a lot of gacha games before, they are : Tales of Link, Divine Gate from GungHO (JP only game), Soul Reverse Zero (JP only game), Fate/Grand Order, Granblue Fantasy (still active), and many more, with some are very greedy, some very generous, etc. Starting in from covid which caused people to WFH and couldn't go out from their house, GI also released for PS4 (unlike WuWa right now still no Console announcement date) which giving them massive, i mean MASSIVE amount of players from PC, mobile and PS4, the ones who got "brainwashed" by how the standard of gacha gaming works. Because of this, hyv could getaway with their abusive treatment to their players, setting their "standard" to everyone else even outside their game circle as their brainwashed players will and always will compare anything that'll release to their "beloved, abusive" game. The fault then not just came from the dev itself but their players as well, for forcing this "standard" to other devs. Alas, when a dev trying to follow GI steps they badmouth them, and when a dev trying to change what GI had implemented, they also badmouth them for not having features from their "beloved, abusive" game. Really, what a gaming world has this become. Not saying Kuro Games and WuWa don't have their own fault, they DO HAVE their faults (because nothing in life is PERFECT so remember that, everyone), BUT they are fixing it. I'm a PGR player on 2 servers, JP and Global, i trust them with their words. All i want is for them to have their peace (those GI players or general haters who still hating Kuro and WuWa), Kuro to gain their actual footing with WuWa (i won't deny their launch wasn't that great, but still it's a successful one), and to have peaceful community like PGR does. Cheers for everyone~ 🍻
@@ikkisenjuro3729 Great points, GI being a lot of peoples first gacha as well as the game they played during covid definitely made worse the "brainwashing" of the playerbase. I haven't played PGR but I've heard great things and I hope we can have a similar community. Not to say I don't believe in Kuro because so far they've proven themselves to actually care about making a game that players can actually enjoy, I just hope that players will keep giving good feedback to Kuro so they can do their best to make the game that Genshin never was.
Agreed with everything about gensh but kinda controversial about kuro posssible stagnation in the future But I get your point, after all HSR suffers the same stagnation after a year and it's not getting better. but it made me realise that it was never that good in the first place, most of positive qol was realised in 1.0 and they kept doing not much like 10 pulls every patch and a free five star cus of winning the award. So back on the point, looking at the kuros vigorous implementation of qol, I seriously doubt wuwa is going to stagnate like hsr anytime soon but time will tell ofc
They don't add artifact loadouts because you'll be more likely to farm a set for more characters so they get to keep you playing longer. Maybe that plan is trash and it'll backfire on them
An interesting point, one that sounds valid actually, and also quite sad. Another thing to consider as to their mindset, and lack of care for their playerbase.
For the most recent survey, they asked a lot of interesting questions about combat (they’re sweating bc of WuWa lol) and then at the end were like, “any suggestions?” I wrote for them to start digging through their trashcans.
WELCOME TO THE CLUB. We have free drinks and snacks every night. I arrived to the club 2 years ago though only returned casually for Xianyun. And ironically because she is almost a 1-to-1 copy of Tower of Fantasy's Ling Han, a game of which a few of us still still play if you can beleive it. I even have 2 Inazuma islands not fully explored/started to explore, Sumeru has only a handful of waypoints unlocked, and Fontaine + Chen Yu Vale maps are only half unlocked...
Everything you said in your video, I mean ALL, are the reasons why I can't stand playing genshin anymore. I guess the only thing that made me stay after Inazuma is the sunk cost fallacy lol, the time I spent to get to where my account is now and a few bucks i burned to get and gear the characters I want. I may not be playing any hoyo game anymore.
Genshin players will call you ungrateful and annoying for simply disliking character or the way the game is going. Like… what is there to be grateful for other than the fact that we are ignored 24/7… like… if Navia or wrio did not exist, I personally would have never touched the game. I only play for them and I currently only have Navia out of the two. If I get Wriothesley, I’ll be more willing to do things like get those incredibly long and boring archon and world quest done.
@@saimyintmyat9373 tbh i thought that the focalors quest was pretty well executed but yeah other archon quests were a slog to get through and only when dain appeared it got entertaining since it was actual massive lore drops
Yeah expecially me who have a PlayStation plus active and lots of game to play lol..i think this is too much drama...if you are bored just quit..no One plays the same game for years with hype..i cant understand all this drama..
And i actually have played WuWa on my phone..a good phone and didnt felt really that good só i unistaled it...still needs to have a Lot of optimization@@Zilllow
The way people have something almost akin to a moral debate about switching games is astounding. I don't enjoy being treated like a fool by game companies who pretend they don't know what players want
What's sad is the fact that they basically refused to change anything before Wuwa got released. They didn't want to gave improvements and people defended those practices for years now. Those who spoke up got hate for no reason honestly and the community can't really handle themselves. I thought everything would improve but now I think this is not happening anymore
For me treatment of the devs killed the love for that game, they didnt even fix a thing that long term players complained. Once you quit Genshin only ~1st week will be hard. Genshin clearly looks like a game you play once a month and wait for next patch.
Yeah, the level of disrespect is something that's really grated on my nerves. As I said in the video as just ONE example, the lack of care when it comes to making an avenue for players to obtain old event weapons is just crazy. Agreed, I think playing it far less frequently is a good step, but as far as just quitting it outright - So far I'm good man. The tie is severed, and probably should have been quite a bit sooner for me.
I've been playing zenless zone zero and just started to get into wuthering waves around 5 days ago and I got to say the difference in how you get treated is night and day, the amount of free summons/free 5 stars is insane...and the weapon banners!! zzz has a 75% of getting the weapon you want and wuwa just outright gives it you once you get a 5 star which is amazing, I've never felt more rewarded for actually exploring the game and grinding.
The things im more grateful for after quiting Genshin is that i dont have to listen to Fffff Paimon again, and i dont have to spam my right click button on quest again. WuWa is just way way better for just these 2 things alone.
I mean the problem with being able to level echoes with unleveled echoes is they don't take wave plates to farm, so you could just spend hours and get every character to 100% built and then there's nothing to do
Played Genshin from first week of 1.0 They give us godlike strength in the characters but have never let us use all of those c6 characters in any meaningful way… or up the world level… zero reasons to pull for cons if the game will never be harder than casual. It’s basically a collector’s game - with the only content after each version - building characters you don’t need. So much wasted potential. Longtime players have stuck around year after year hoping it will evolve at some point. THE ONLY THING that could actually change Genshin in any meaningful way is declines in sales - MONEY TALKS! And blaming the DEVs is wrong - the management/investors is the soul reason the game is stuck - if we make money not investing in evolving the game - then we will maximize profit and keep things as is.
I love how when I brought up a few of these points I was told I was wrong and didn’t know what I was talking about. And I was talking from a perspective of 10 months ago. It’s actually hilarious to see I was proven right and I’m greatful for your coverage of this. Your overview was more comprehensive and clear cut . I agree with 90% of what you said. I’m fine with the echo system requiring the tubes since you’ll be able to earn more when you level up and they don’t wanna allow players to bulldoze through content. The tubes are a secondary way they can kinda control character bursting rn but I’m sure it’ll improve further as we go into future updates 😊
genshin just felt slow after playing wuwa, a lot of what wuwa's offering is what we've been hoping to happen in genshin for the past 4 years, I'm not at the point that I would uninstall it but the motivation to go back is just, man I can't face genshin the same way anymore. the first 2 weeks after downloading wuwa I didn't realise I haven't touch genshin at all and I don't felt missing it the slightest.
I couldn’t agree with this more lmao, I even said I was still gonna play both games but after really getting solid hours into wuthering waves and coming back, traversing the world alone in genshin is a chore. Cant double jump, grapple or run up walls. I don’t know if im gonna continue playing genshin myself so
monster hunter world after rise and realizing having to hit each ore or gather ones multiple times is kind of a brag. this feels similar to me. it took wuwa to show genshins flaws
Hey guys. Just want to add this "hearted comment" here so that people can see it alongside my pinned. Many people are correctly rebutting my point at (14:42) about "allowing echo levelling by using other non-levelled echoes" - You guys are spot on in your rebuttals to this and my plain speaking here was a poor choice on my part. I spoke about this in my follow up video to clarify my feelings, so I'll do so here also. I feel there needs to be gating in place for this 100%. My ideas are that gold echoes shouldn't yield more than lower tier tubes, but also, perhaps a daily limit on how many you can actually use this way (15?). I think it would add to the experience, make farming feel more meaningful, and give you more to do in a day, without being too unrestricted to the point where people endlessly farm and run out of things to do. I think the tube "economy" needs to be looked at and I know Kuro have acknowledged this, so we'll see what happens!
all fine points, but the main reasons I would have started with would be: 1. better gacha rates, weapon banners 2. more skippable story😂 3. better artifact farming system, or at least it will get better literally next patch 4. combat system is mechanically engaging, not brainless. 5. company behind the game doesn't blow complete ass, like in genshin. Overall, wuwa is kind of like genshin, so don't expect jt to be the anti-gacha game (it really won't be), but these are the reasons you might like it more. It might be a better variant.
The forte system in WuWa is definately groundbreaking. It's simplifying each of character's complex mechanic (all character in wuwa has complex mechanic). That single forte bar on top of HP bar really convey many information. Also forte bar is almost unique for each character, especially San hua. While Wuwa doesnt possess elemental reaction like Genshin, it has intro and outro system to add more variables in battles. Then, the parrying system is so satisfying in WuWa, not to mention u can land a counter attack after dodge too. Fighting against each of hologram bosses are all feel like fighting against Isshin in sekiro or Malenia in Elder Ring. In short, the high-end content of WuWa are all damn hard and not just being gatekept by STATS, but also the player' own skill and understanding of gameplay mechanic. Even whales with godlike stats n full dupes wont be able to clear them without having the necessary skill to do so. As long as they can fix some persistent problems like optimization and keep having good contents, WuWa has a big chance to stay on top of revenue ladder.
Actually, when I play wuwa for long... And then long back into genshin... I can't explain very well, but I feel happier with the bright and colourful open world and the characters I love and missed 🤷♀️ so wuwa was great to take breaks from genshin, to get variety, and to appreciate genshin more when I log back
Either way, I still love Genshin. I love the world, the exploration, the lore, the characters, the stories, the music ... And I also love the combat. "but there is nothing to do !" Yeah, the game isn't infinite, that why you can play other games ? I play genshin and elden ring at the moment, and a tad of Talos Principles 2 too. But hey, I'm a passionate gamer and spend most of my free time gaming, I suppose that if I was only playing genshin I would be more critical. But I truly think genshin isn't meant to be played as your "main game". They often ask in polls which other games you've played recently. Just play other games. And go back to Genshin when you want. Voice your complaint, but please don't shame people who just enjoy the game.
Eh, I don’t agree with the title both games are fun 17:53 I don’t agree with the skip button option the only thing it would be good for is the commissions This whole list screams “ I need this game to be more like other games and for it to stop being its own game” I don’t agree with this list at all.
Genshin has a ton of mechanics that feel very outdated, the combat just ends up being about getting the highest numbers and basically nothing else and since dendro is clearly the most powerful element, there is no point experimenting, which makes the combat feel really boring. There are barely any mechanics to make it feel more nuanced, no parries, a dodge that doesnt feel like a dodge, no combos, blocks or essentially anything that marks a great combat system. Characters have many interesting abilities but what's the point if there is only way to use them? Speaking of characters, they look good I guess but literally ALL of them are young, soft anime boys or girls (aside from some child characters), it feels unrealistic and really uncreative. A ton of humanoid enemies look far cooler and more interesting than the characters we get to play. The farming system is painfully boring and repetitive, even fighting bosses, something that I always love doing in games, feels really boring, which is a shame, considering the bosses are really cool conceptually. Finally, exploration is pretty good still but there is a ton of missed potential, Mondstadt never got an update so it feels very boring compared to other regions, even liyue. And trust me there are a lot more problems I have with this game. I hope Wuthering Waves will not dissapoint me.
personally, i have been playing both wuwa and genshin at the same time and these small differences really do stand out. while trying to run in hsr or gi ill press t thinking thats the grapple, and either nothing happens or i open up the team menu. its a bit weird but ive never really liked genshin, despite playing it consistently for years, due to the lack of qol features and mindless grinding, but wuwa has a good balance of both. honestly, im glad youve backed away from gi and started playing a game you actually enjoy. have fun gaming!
It's funny how all the things you mentioned was the thing I have been saying since day 1. And I also did their beta testing and holy hell, I can tell you, they really dont care! Good for you man, and wuwa welcomes you, leave this pile of trash behind is a good thing! 🎉
Something also angers the fans on GI is the fact that all these things the community has been asking, they add it to their other game, Honkai Star Rail.
Imagine me as childe main since release sending 101 emails 6 game review in their website But my childe still cant plunge attack in his melee form While in wuthering waves bugs once reported got patched in a matter of days or atleast weeks
Good for you guys, people have breakups, it's time for you to move on. I liked genshin because it didn't change that drastically, I like the lore, casual friendly. In my opinion genshin made a base for the new gacha rpg's.
Honestly the only thing that's keeping me interested in Genshin at the moment is just the main archon story. Other than that, I don't enjoy playing Genshin everyday like I used to anymore. HSR will enter their dry spell once the penacony arc concludes next upcoming patch. Wuwa will pretty much be my main game that I'll be investing a lot of time from here on
Genshin had a 3yrs of a head start and just wasted all the feedbacks of the players then Kuro took notes of them instead because genshin devs thinks they know better than actual players playing it daily
This was also the first time in a while that I filled out a survey about the current update with proper suggestions on how to improve the game in the future. Good for you for blowing up overnight 😅
12:33 Even Tower of Fantasy has proper gear loadouts lmao. Its almost as good as Monster Hunter's system. I still play ToF and if that dead game can do it while HYV can't then the sky must be falling.
It took courage to make a video like this, you have my respect. On a personal note: I found out about this vid on a post where Genshin white knights poked fun at it for "having no views". From my personal experience, this is true, playing Genshin after WuWa feels like the game is ass in comparison, from combat to exploration.
The people who keep paying hoyo stupid amount of money without any proper customer service in return are the ones who ruined the game for everyone. Hoyo has taken everyone for a ride/granted. Even minor changes to make the life of ar60 players takes mopnths and are ruined again. The rng and farming grind has not improved at all.
Man you gotta get some bodyguards before Genshin Twitter sees this... Very enjoyable to watch btw, the mic quality didn't bother me at all and your little rages felt so good because usually content creators hold back in these and it just resonated with my feelings in that moment so much 😂 Good shit dude keep it up
I left genshin for final fantasy 14 last year, it just pissed me off how neglected the old characters in this gacha are, how neglected mondstadt is, mond is my favorite region so. How fucking long I have to wait to get an update on my favorite charas story, they never did a carpe diem part 2 By the time I left, Albedo's story remained stagnant, and they screwed over Xiao's development in the name of fanservice. I had so many complaints abt how the lsck of melanin, abt how they cannot keep the characters consistente in story events, dont even get me started on the gameplay, and how little by little, after sumeru rainforest they made exploration feel like a fucking chore. When I played an event where xiao, hu tao, venti, chongyun and many more were like part of, rhey fucked over half of the cast personality, and made it another npc event, I was done. ( this game has a serious writing issue, please, give me my favorite chara wtf. ) So yea, I will never regret leaving especially bc they are making natlan based on Mayas, Incas and aztecas, this is clearly precolonization. And i just see white chara, it feels like they were colonized already ,it feels disrespectful to me, a latina, they do this without research. Lastly Ive been having a blast in ff14 and saw many genshin players moving there too, so thats nice
Ya, there is no excitement for me for Genshin specially after they kiddified the upcoming Natlan, it really is a kiddie game/minigame simulator, they had us for 4 years and they just didn't take care of us well
@@Cajun_Seasoning i know me too. I said "known" toxic members. For starters the ones who said this game wont last a week and a copy paste Genshin. It is inspired yes, but so is Genshin. There are so many Anime RPG in the market before GI.
I agreed. Genshin is a good game but the company is bad at how they crafted genshin and the community. I am still play genshin because I like the characters and the world aesthetics but I have no point of playing it anymore outside of that. Genshin’s story is very enjoyable but I hate it because it make no sense and drag too much for me I always have the ‘why’ in my head when I was playing through the story. The mechanics is the same since the game launched. The more they release the new characters, the more I see it’s the same characters but with different skills. On the top of that, the game have no end game content.. no need to pulled for new units except you like them. But I saw some qol changes after wuwa was launched such as teapot thing, upcoming chest finding in all area etc. It’s so frustrating for me that why they upgrading this now…

In Wuwa, any melee characters can be used to mine.
even characters with guns work well.

Honestly you put it perfectly, I feel the same way about mihoyo as I do game freak. Too much profit and too little innovation for a terrible game.

This is the problem when your game is TOO casual, those F2Ps come and go, they never spend and as such have no expectations or standards, the F2P majority community itself then cannibalises itself and pushes those who want changes out.
it is ironic how some of the most casual fanbase has the most crazy fanbase too
To be honest, I'm convinced that MHY is actually the Chinese version of GameFreak. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.
I feel the same way. I don’t even want to log in to Genshin now. I want to uninstall too. The only thing that keeps me second guessing myself is the amount of money I’ve dumped into that game. I have more fun in Wuthering Waves and I believe it is an overall better game in its core mechanics.
Isn't that sunk cost fallacy or something?

WuWa is definitely the Genshin killer on a personal enjoyment level.
It might not be the "Genshin killer" in a wider level, but it definitely is for me
Yea bc the real Genshin killer is Genshin itself
@@JPManaresiI hate to say this because I loved this game while it lasted but… it’s true this hurts to say but honestly it IS true
@@JPManaresi true it is killing itself right now if they keep on going without change.
on a personal enjoyment level, its not
i know it's a subjective point but since WW seems to be going in that direction: far more challenging and skill-based combat is the number one thing that drew me to wuthering waves, apart from a few character designs and the movement.
it's so refreshing to finally be able to play in this game what i've been asking from another game for years, and to finally be punished for failing to evade boss attacks, and rewarded for playing well, all while being allowed to build who i want how i want, it feels great.
challenging myself in wuthering waves is just so fun, it's exactly what i've been looking for in this type of game for so long.
i'll have to see what the game's future holds and what changes they make before i play long term, since i'm not as attached to the genre as some, but i have high hopes for now.
And honestly, Hoyo has no incentive to ever improve the game. If Genshin dies, they will just make another one.
Genshin is their cash cow to fund the projects they actually care about so they will drag this game story with fluff as long as possible
Yeah, they're making a mintpickers simulator now for the mintpickers
but why they should change? catering to casuals is the thing that brings money and lets be real, hc players are (loud) minority.
It is nothing after stories done. Exploration feels too repetitive.
I think Genshin may be the first-ever gacha open world game
WuWa is really the only real competition (unless you consider ToF), though there are more coming later this year
It took me until the 4th time quitting to truly quit Genshin like 2 years ago.
That's why the game never improved cuz their fanbase is ok with the maltreatment even if their just coping hard just for their beloved game😂
I wish they kept the old story for WuWa. If they optimized the performance and kept the old story for the western releases, this game would beat Genshin straight out of the water!

The amount of QoL features for this type of game that I've seen from day 1 in WuWa versus Genshin's lack of the same thing just can't be ignored. Especially when we've been asking for these things for so long from Hoyo only to just get nothing. It's so incredibly disrespectful to me.

Wuwa act 1-2 are not amazing but it gets much better later on
I think they may have actually changed/cut too much since yuanwoo is just sort of there with no introduction
Still despite the rocky start they stuck the landing
I do hope they learn from this though, from what I understand PGR story actually gets very good later on so it’s not like they can’t write

I played Genshin for 2+ years and quit months back then. I got mostly frustrated at looking how the same company, treated the players for their different games. The only thing I miss about Genshin now is the story, but that could be easily follow up since there are content creators covering it.
I agree with the points stated in your video.
For me, little things that I wanted in Genshin showed up in WuWa which made me happy such as:
- Customizable food slot which we can use in the main interface
- Gadget that shows chests in the overworld
- Auto approve friend requests to join world
- Increased limit for Waveplates (I kinda hope they allow us to store waveplates like condensed resin)
We are getting a waveplate overflow for when you get beyond the cap (similar to Star Rail).
That would be nice, I'm looking forward to that.
Can't we auto join friend's world ? I think we can because when i req on my friend's world i join immediately

I mean there are some seriously dumb takes here, the comparison on their movement alone would be like saying that BotW is trash because you can't wall run with infinite stamina, with zero consideration on how allowing that would destroy the game's exploration
The combat comparisons are dumb too because the games set out to do fundamentally different things with their combat.
@ArJay1688 theres barely any physical bonus and shatter is forgotten
@@devilkazumi578 Now that you mention shatter, WuWa got their own version of shatter in Ilusive Realm gameplay and what makes it amazing is that a defend-then-counter attack type of character like Taoqi with a defensive Echo that is Geochelone is absolutely broken with it and dealt way more damage than even DPS characters and there's the added advantage of shields to take hits. It's like Beidou and a shield granting/buffing artifact combo being absolutely broken.

Wuwa cbt1 was pretty bad all things considered so it really says a lot that even that made you change your opinion on genshin

Oh boy mintpickers gonna go wild after watching this
if you have done some overworld exploration in WuWa and then go back to Genshin, it feels like Mihoyo has broken your legs and put you in a wheelchair.
🤣🤣
I'm on 4 years myself as well. Haven't spent a dime on Genshin since the 3 pull reward fiasco on the recent anniv. At this point just doing the bare minimum and logging out. I'm freeloading to finish the story. I can understand if ppl quit the game entirely. I have a couple of friends who have uninstalled the game as well, which is probably best for their peace of mind. They're doing the same as you for story, since there are lore masters on youtube that summerize all the lore anyway. So, I don't think you'll miss out on much.
Genshin players talk about optimization problems in other games while their own game also needs optimization. Their game has been out for 4 years ffs.
Long Live WuWa! ❤ I will continue to support this game. The devs care about the players!
Right there with you 100%. Like I mentioned in the video, I know the game didn't come out in the best state for many people, but their actions so far speak volumes about their intent and level of care.
Same. It first i want to keep both. But there's no point of playing two game while the latest game covered the entire upgrades of old games.
Yeah, I think it was the event when Ayato first debuted. The Irodori Festival I believe.
Even then the parrying system on that event is still trash, no feeling of accomplishment whatsoever.
Agreed with everything about gensh but kinda controversial about kuro posssible stagnation in the future
But I get your point, after all HSR suffers the same stagnation after a year and it's not getting better. but it made me realise that it was never that good in the first place, most of positive qol was realised in 1.0 and they kept doing not much like 10 pulls every patch and a free five star cus of winning the award. So back on the point, looking at the kuros vigorous implementation of qol, I seriously doubt wuwa is going to stagnate like hsr anytime soon but time will tell ofc
I dropped Genshin in early 2022. I didn’t even have any expectations for WuWa when I tried it but, boy, was I in for a big surprise.
For the most recent survey, they asked a lot of interesting questions about combat (they’re sweating bc of WuWa lol) and then at the end were like, “any suggestions?” I wrote for them to start digging through their trashcans.
sooo what is the reason wuwa rushed 1.1 release to avoid ZZZ 1.0 ?

WELCOME TO THE CLUB. We have free drinks and snacks every night. I arrived to the club 2 years ago though only returned casually for Xianyun. And ironically because she is almost a 1-to-1 copy of Tower of Fantasy's Ling Han, a game of which a few of us still still play if you can beleive it. I even have 2 Inazuma islands not fully explored/started to explore, Sumeru has only a handful of waypoints unlocked, and Fontaine + Chen Yu Vale maps are only half unlocked...
Started to burn out when new patches/events are just you doing chores and nothing else. Hopefully kuro keep things engaging.
Ah yeah archon quests are getting boring too. Only interesting quest is when That Guy From Ruined Kingdom appears. 😂

The way people have something almost akin to a moral debate about switching games is astounding.
I don't enjoy being treated like a fool by game companies who pretend they don't know what players want
welcome to solaris 3, fellow rover! I hope you enjoy your time here.
I've been playing zenless zone zero and just started to get into wuthering waves around 5 days ago and I got to say the difference in how you get treated is night and day, the amount of free summons/free 5 stars is insane...and the weapon banners!!
zzz has a 75% of getting the weapon you want and wuwa just outright gives it you once you get a 5 star which is amazing, I've never felt more rewarded for actually exploring the game and grinding.
another 1 person woke up from genshin brainwash
The things im more grateful for after quiting Genshin is that i dont have to listen to Fffff Paimon again, and i dont have to spam my right click button on quest again. WuWa is just way way better for just these 2 things alone.
Lmao tru double narration is insanely annoying man 😂 just let the MC speak for himself

I feel the same, I also noticed the lack of momentum with the gliding thing and it set me off lmao
I mean the problem with being able to level echoes with unleveled echoes is they don't take wave plates to farm, so you could just spend hours and get every character to 100% built and then there's nothing to do
Played Genshin from first week of 1.0
They give us godlike strength in the characters but have never let us use all of those c6 characters in any meaningful way… or up the world level… zero reasons to pull for cons if the game will never be harder than casual.
I think the tube "economy" needs to be looked at and I know Kuro have acknowledged this, so we'll see what happens!
all fine points, but the main reasons I would have started with would be:
1. better gacha rates, weapon banners
2. more skippable story😂
3. better artifact farming system, or at least it will get better literally next patch
4. combat system is mechanically engaging, not brainless.
5. company behind the game doesn't blow complete ass, like in genshin.
Overall, wuwa is kind of like genshin, so don't expect jt to be the anti-gacha game (it really won't be), but these are the reasons you might like it more. It might be a better variant.
it sucks fr ty to developer team and gameplay loop designers
After this, you better make some wuwa videos, bro. Keep up the good work!
I played the game since launch and thank you for making a video about how I exactly feel. It's like loving a person who will never love you back.

You are new in gachas. You don't understand the concept of endgame content. That's why you are a threat for genshin.
Ewww
Eh, I don’t agree with the title both games are fun
17:53 I don’t agree with the skip button option the only thing it would be good for is the commissions
This whole list screams “ I need this game to be more like other games and for it to stop being its own game” I don’t agree with this list at all.
Something also angers the fans on GI is the fact that all these things the community has been asking, they add it to their other game, Honkai Star Rail.
wuwa is genshin but with every thing we want in genshin is present out of the box.
Imagine me as childe main since release sending 101 emails
6 game review in their website
But my childe still cant plunge attack in his melee form
While in wuthering waves bugs once reported got patched in a matter of days or atleast weeks
Because it’s not a bug
Good for you guys, people have breakups, it's time for you to move on. I liked genshin because it didn't change that drastically, I like the lore, casual friendly. In my opinion genshin made a base for the new gacha rpg's.
Honestly the only thing that's keeping me interested in Genshin at the moment is just the main archon story. Other than that, I don't enjoy playing Genshin everyday like I used to anymore. HSR will enter their dry spell once the penacony arc concludes next upcoming patch. Wuwa will pretty much be my main game that I'll be investing a lot of time from here on
HSR will until October to December I believe since Story hinted we will go to Next Planet Soon.
Very enjoyable to watch btw, the mic quality didn't bother me at all and your little rages felt so good because usually content creators hold back in these and it just resonated with my feelings in that moment so much 😂
Good shit dude keep it up
I left genshin for final fantasy 14 last year, it just pissed me off how neglected the old characters in this gacha are, how neglected mondstadt is, mond is my favorite region so.
How fucking long I have to wait to get an update on my favorite charas story, they never did a carpe diem part 2
By the time I left, Albedo's story remained stagnant, and they screwed over Xiao's development in the name of fanservice.
( this game has a serious writing issue, please, give me my favorite chara wtf. )
So yea, I will never regret leaving especially bc they are making natlan based on Mayas, Incas and aztecas, this is clearly precolonization. And i just see white chara, it feels like they were colonized already ,it feels disrespectful to me, a latina, they do this without research.
Lastly Ive been having a blast in ff14 and saw many genshin players moving there too, so thats nice
Best addition imo is Gaurenteed 5* echo drops at Databank 21, Genshin still has rng 3-4 stats on gold artifacts not even Gaurenteed 4 stats at max AR
Ya, there is no excitement for me for Genshin specially after they kiddified the upcoming Natlan, it really is a kiddie game/minigame simulator, they had us for 4 years and they just didn't take care of us well
