I actually liked Inazuma a lot, but perhaps that's just a bad take of mine given the time I played that was in 2021 (oh year inazuma was 3 yrs ago wow) and I at the time was like 17. At that time in my life I was very desensitized to the world and I think that led me to liking it despite how bad it really probably was. It was a very rough year. Now I'm 20, and Genshin is literally all you said it was, though yeah, Natlan is designed for Children...but if I had to pick worst region that'd be Natlan now, but before natlan, definitely Sumeru. Fontaine felt fun, and I liked the trial setting though I wish it was more like Ace Attorney, lol Great video btw.
my biggest issue is when i play star rail and nikke either the story is engaging for me or i dont gotta listen to walls of text that are so slow and borderline annoying. like right now in nikke is a event going over my favorite characters come up where all her friends died. Obviously theres a lot more going on with it but with just that im interested. With genshin i took a fat ass break after the first time nahida and nilou dropped. then i come back after a while and everything is so fucking slow and i have characters i cant level because i dont have access to the specific spot where as star rail just lets u farm the characters mats if they're the characters out. I gave it a chance and man i got up to the prision area or whatever in the water area land of the censor bubbles and i wanted to die. So yeah so slow and so annoying to catch up.
1 minute of action and 10 thousand years of empty blabbering. They have the environment to tell so much, the cutscene animators are pretty decent, but instead they reduce 99% of it to zero effort reusing static animations and worse than chat gpt filler text while explaining every detail like the player is 5. It's all dumb af and anyone defending it needs to get some fuckin standards. Good lord.
The core audience of genshin impact is 30 year olds, like it or not, that's the vast majority of the game's players. People who work hard and need a 15-minute game to de-stress, it's sized to fit neatly in any heavy routine It's still my favorite game ever, but Zenless is slowly creeping up there and becoming my favorite, it's lore is good, storytelling is good, animations astounding, character designs awesome, music is stellar, the spectacle of Season 1 finale was absolute cinema; They replaced the old tv gameplay, they're adding a lot of new modes, they're doing great. I'm very satisfied with ZZZ As for wuwa it's Genshin, but mediocre. Yes it's more approachable for poverty people, but it's a very mid game
Wuwa is 100x better wtf😂 Just play it you will realize how bad genshin treats it’s players. Not a single thing in genshin is better besides maybe lore. You can run up walls, you can fly from one end to another in the new region (for free) while my Mavuika flies for like 3 seconds and that’s a limited character, she can ride up a wall for 1 fucking second like it’s so bad😂 No skip button in genshin it doesn’t respect your time, you have to sit through 30 mins of yap and sometimes the game forces the dialogue just because you walk past the npc’s. In wuwa combat is much more complex and satisfying to pull off, it’s not just skill burst and then switch characters. Just because you’re blinded by your love for genshin don’t say wuwa is mid when it beats genshin in every single aspect, it’s fine if you don’t like it, most casual skill issue genshin players don’t because they can’t get good but it’s definitely not mid especially after 2.0. Genshin grind is just tedious and you can’t even farm what you want any day you want, weapon banner was so bad they had to change it, i could go on for days just tell me one thing genshin does better. Finally you’re wrong the vast majority is not 30 year old working class it’s weebs and children, you’re speaking like it’s facts, i’ve never seen anyone so confidently wrong
Its just fact...the game has no improvement over 4 years. And the playerbase are the most pathetic people in human history. But honestly...they also exist in HSR. But I must admit...the terrible storytelling is not as bad as in HSR. And yes! I just said that...weird fanboi.
Those were also very valid Reasons for me to quit Genshin at 4.5 and started playing HSR. It's much, much better. And I can't wait for Wuthering Waves on PS5. Because, those are the Kinds of Gacha Games I would rather use my time for to play. Even though, the Story Content takes a while to get something new. But, it's at least not as dull and boring as Genshin's Story Content.
Videos like these are gonna be so funny in hindsight when Wuwa finally makes it to consoles next year so i an many people can know what a good gacha game is aside from zzz an hsr lol even i only need like 4 or so more characters to never have to worry about pulling again, by next year I'll finally be free 😭 (Alhaitham, Furina, Cloridine, an Yelen for those curious lol)
genshin still lacking a lot of things but ngl its still one of my best fav live service game and still one of a good live service game u can found rn, also i still didnt think genshin at that kìnd of bad bc its still enjoyable man, it would be better if they didnt split content into versions (just bring a the content into 1 version like dlc games:/ but if they do that, they cant open banner over time and get money) and bring back some really good main events, for example golden apple archipelago(2.8) or albedo event quest(2.3)
I presume you are a casual player, in which case Genshin is a completely fine game. The most appalling problem with it is content, but if you're not one to speedrun through it and take your time then yes, Genshin is fine. Stories can be somewhat subjective, as I've seen some people who said they liked paimon (they need jesus). For people like them, who don't care about the storytelling too much, it might be fine. If you are enjoying Genshin, more power to you.
@@danwy maybe bc its a part of my play style enjoy what the game is good at, dont care abt what the game is bad at Also i dont hate paimon but dont like her that much, i use jp voice it iss less anoying and also it better to have a partner while travelling that care abt us (btw she even cry when she was so worry abt us in sumeru) Im also a lore enjoyer so storytelling dont bothering me that much, but i still understand gi story is bad bc its own storytelling ( btw the chain Natlan world quest is quite good)
Genshin isnt bad game by any means. Like you dont have 60million monthly players if your game is shit thats just not gonna happen. Genshin works and plays well, has great characters, good combat, great art style, lots of content and is casual game. Genshin isnt perfect game but for me the positives outweigh the negative by miles. Hence we have a player base of 60million
if you have played bloodborne, skyrim which is better than genshin or final fantasy you would know the difference between genshin and this games.most this people are chinse or from Singapore in which mobile gaming is famous and people there are addicted to genshin.
I actually quite enjoyed Inazuma but why you cuss so much? Makes you sound like a child. That being said, you are entired to your own opinion. I think the occassional irrelevant side chatter makes them feel more human.
Okay classic i dont care about story jadajada and only list good points and make sound them bad. Its sad that all haters are just riding there personal preference wave and are not able to be the least objective. You literally start with starting with Inazuma it goea downhill, where actually the story and story telling gets better wach arc? You write bad character design, which also gets better more complex? I am Sorry but this video is basic hater.
I am sorry but I can barely understand what you said here. I won't insult you for not knowing English but at least use Google translate if it's this bad mate. I care about the story, or rather would have cared if it was the slightest bit interesting. I don't see any personal preference, all my points were highly objective and I made sure that I wouldn't say anything that is just my bias. What point do you think I was biased on? Inazuma was just bad, it started fairly well and continued alright, but it was all over the place with so many characters and arcs that intertwined into a mess, and the finale was hot garbage. Again, this is all from memory, so I cannot remember it perfectly, maybe it is better than I remember, or maybe it is worse. Character designs are rather subjective, which is why I only stated that point but never elaborated on it. But if we want to go into the nitty gritty, Genshin has some gems like Neuvillette or Xiao, who have outstanding designs. But they also have extremely basic and boring designs like the MC or Hu Tao (I will get hate for this I know). Most of Genshin's characters look like they were trying way too hard to make them look good, and ended up with Mualani. Out of all of Natlan, the only character I liked was Kinich. Yes, you can say that is personal preference, and that is completely fair, which is why I didn't discuss it in depth in the video. I don't hate Genshin. If I hated Genshin, I wouldn't have an AR 57 AC and another AR 43 AC. I wouldn't have 1000 hours in the game, I wouldn't watch or even make RUclips videos of this game. The game is amazing, but has been falling off. The Devs care less and less and the community is completely fine with this. I will be the first person to praise Genshin if the game is good, but I will also be the first if Genshin is bad. I'm not loyal to a game or brand, I'm loyal to quality, and only quality.
@@danwy btw im curious, u said some have a boring designs but why they look bad? its bc of the ingame moldel is bad or bc of the clothes designs or maybe just maybe u dont understand the meaning behind these kind of accessory and design?
@@AnTran-fd1pn many reasons. For some it's the model, but for most it's their attire. I remember that one sumeru character they revealed that just looked like a green Lisa, her attire just looked like they grabbed a witch and said okay, it's a day. I will say that when it comes to designs and things like that, I am a walking hot take. I constantly have some wild takes on what I like and don't like, but I did notice this opinion going around, so I think I'm not alone on this. And again I want to reinstate that I don't hate all Genshin designs, I just think most of them are lukewarm rather than cool.
@@danwy but the story is interesting, because there is not a single story told, but multiple stories in each region. As constant you always have a storyline to understand the people of the region, second you always have a story about the nations crisis, third you always have a story about what happened in the past (important for the big cause and probably the final of genshin) ans also you always have a story to the Fatui and Abyss. Thinking the story is not interesting is personla preference. All this is true for Inazuma you start by learning about the people nad get hints of the problem, then you learn about the problem, you learn how this is interconected with the past and the fatui and all of it is important. Yes I also dont like Raiden, but the story didn't and as "hot garbage" You are in my opinion not supposed to like each character. And if you cant remeber it, how can you even judge it. After Inazuma its get better and better and tons of the information of the Inazuma storyline becomes important and creates parallels to the other nations. It literally kicks of the story in Sumeru. So Genshin is getting worse because some of the oldest designs are more basic than everything that comes after, like what? You literally name two cahracters as bad examples that are years old and the designs since than have improved heavily. I mean can you state anything, why the design are supposed to not look good? Except personal preference? I mean, you dont hat Genshin, but do a rant about stuff of the game, that is constantly improving? Like design, animations, the action based combat, quality of life, game mechanics, the writing, what exposure is in th main story and what in a world quest ... For me it seems more like you were dissatisfied with inazuma and didnt give a fuck from this point on about the game.
Not only did I not say that Genshin's story is bad, I also read the whole thing. This is what happens when you don't have any understanding of the video and comment to showcase your lack of it.
i just don’t overplay it. i only spend money on characters i like, do my dailies and spend my resin, and if im burnt out, i log off. there are many issues with genshin, but the main problem is how players spend their time on the game, and how they perceive it. a pessimistic view on both the game itself as well as the community will ruin your experience. if you want to make genshin better for yourself, take a break. you don’t have to complete everything. in my opinion, casual playing, is the best. you don’t have to be a whale, but you don’t have to be f2p either. if you’re not having fun, then drop it for now. and if you don’t want to continue, then don’t continue.
ok i agree a bit, but i will continue to play genshin beacuse why not and yes i have lost my ability to spell thank you

Fontaine felt fun, and I liked the trial setting though I wish it was more like Ace Attorney, lol
Great video btw.
my biggest issue is when i play star rail and nikke either the story is engaging for me or i dont gotta listen to walls of text that are so slow and borderline annoying. like right now in nikke is a event going over my favorite characters come up where all her friends died.
Good lord.
14:44 now 3 months later Kuro actually added the quick acces to bosses required for current characters on the banner
that desert mission is beyond crazy
your so right
it's like fountaine is the only good place in the game
And the fandom is filled with a bunch of simps and glazers
The core audience of genshin impact is 30 year olds, like it or not, that's the vast majority of the game's players. People who work hard and need a 15-minute game to de-stress, it's sized to fit neatly in any heavy routine
It's still my favorite game ever, but Zenless is slowly creeping up there and becoming my favorite, it's lore is good, storytelling is good, animations astounding, character designs awesome, music is stellar, the spectacle of Season 1 finale was absolute cinema; They replaced the old tv gameplay, they're adding a lot of new modes, they're doing great. I'm very satisfied with ZZZ
As for wuwa it's Genshin, but mediocre.
A decent game over ridden by greed.
So much master yapping in Genshin Impact, I drop this shit game like a hot pancake 😂😂
Its just fact...the game has no improvement over 4 years. And the playerbase are the most pathetic people in human history. But honestly...they also exist in HSR. But I must admit...the terrible storytelling is not as bad as in HSR. And yes! I just said that...weird fanboi.
Brainless
@@samebrosame2626 I mean is true
Those were also very valid Reasons for me to quit Genshin at 4.5 and started playing HSR. It's much, much better. And I can't wait for Wuthering Waves on PS5. Because, those are the Kinds of Gacha Games I would rather use my time for to play. Even though, the Story Content takes a while to get something new. But, it's at least not as dull and boring as Genshin's Story Content.
genshin impact + paimon = quit
@Tectone! GET OVER HERE!
if "failing upwards" was a game
"I'm 18, I'm not a child" BWAHAHAHA
Not just sucks, but is now garbage.
Thank you for your video and pointing it all! I used to love this game but I can't take it anymore it is awful
ever since ZZZ came out i just cant handle genshin anymore its so boringg i only log in sometimes to complete the abyss+theatre
im still enjoy Natlan, why? idk maybe i touch grass regulary , so i didnt get overplayed then get boring lol
genshin still lacking a lot of things but ngl its still one of my best fav live service game and still one of a good live service game u can found rn, also i still didnt think genshin at that kìnd of bad bc its still enjoyable
man, it would be better if they didnt split content into versions (just bring a the content into 1 version like dlc games:/ but if they do that, they cant open banner over time and get money) and bring back some really good main events, for example golden apple archipelago(2.8) or albedo event quest(2.3)
@@danwy maybe bc its a part of my play style enjoy what the game is good at, dont care abt what the game is bad at
Also i dont hate paimon but dont like her that much, i use jp voice it iss less anoying and also it better to have a partner while travelling that care abt us (btw she even cry when she was so worry abt us in sumeru)
Im also a lore enjoyer so storytelling dont bothering me that much, but i still understand gi story is bad bc its own storytelling ( btw the chain Natlan world quest is quite good)
pgr and honkai imapct 3 exist before genshin .. so anime game used to exist but wasn't popular
im curious what your opinons are on honkai impact 3rds storytelling
Never played it.
@@danwy its good, you should give it a try
Also, it isnt a children game, average fanbase is like 17-21 or things like that, no child should play that
Okay see you next region.
Personaly I loved Sumeru haha
Genshin isnt bad game by any means. Like you dont have 60million monthly players if your game is shit thats just not gonna happen.
Genshin works and plays well, has great characters, good combat, great art style, lots of content and is casual game.
Genshin isnt perfect game but for me the positives outweigh the negative by miles. Hence we have a player base of 60million
Brainwashing is a thing
if you have played bloodborne, skyrim which is better than genshin or final fantasy you would know the difference between genshin and this games.most this people are chinse or from Singapore in which mobile gaming is famous and people there are addicted to genshin.
I agree, Genshin has it's good and bad sides
Deshaq?
5.3 story was bad imo
💯%
Ppl who complain about the story being too long are just ppl who have tiktok attention spans lol.
Like design, animations,
the action based combat, quality of life, game mechanics, the writing, what exposure is in th main story and what in a world quest ...
For me it seems more like you were dissatisfied with inazuma and didnt give a fuck from this point on about the game.
Yeah Genshin story is bad..
if you don't read it.
Not only did I not say that Genshin's story is bad, I also read the whole thing. This is what happens when you don't have any understanding of the video and comment to showcase your lack of it.
@@danwy alright dad..
@@aswinamahendra7456 Did they implement a skip button yet ?
@@orenz.272 yes, but for hangout quest that you already done.
@@aswinamahendra7456 I meant for the storyline
i just don’t overplay it. i only spend money on characters i like, do my dailies and spend my resin, and if im burnt out, i log off. there are many issues with genshin, but the main problem is how players spend their time on the game, and how they perceive it.
a pessimistic view on both the game itself as well as the community will ruin your experience. if you want to make genshin better for yourself, take a break. you don’t have to complete everything. in my opinion, casual playing, is the best. you don’t have to be a whale, but you don’t have to be f2p either. if you’re not having fun, then drop it for now. and if you don’t want to continue, then don’t continue.
Finally, a smart comment, I totally agree
