Who is gonna use this killer trick?
This literally just made the Canon Eos M a viable option.
Im going to use it right now! Shot a live construction event that was a one time thing. I forgot to switch over to rec 60 fps!!! 🤦🏾♂️ life saver dude!!!
Hello im shooting at 60fps, should i export as 24fps or 60fps after the editing?
You're the MAN!! Very helpful video that solved my problem man. Thank you :)
how do you change the FPS on a Canon VIXIA HF R800?
Thank you so much for this! Literally had that moment of "aw noooooooo" after I realised I shot a whole trip in 24fps. This saved me!
I'm a first-timer at ~real~ video. I shot ALL of my footage in 24fps for a wedding video before I had time to study up, so this is very much saving me right now! Thank you!
Well done Josh. Your channel was suggested to me today and I see why. Keep up the fantastic work.
Oh wow, appreciate ya watching!
I’ve seen so much of your stuff. It’s a honor to have you seeing my video. 😁
This was a lifesaver! On a work deadline and realized half my B Roll was 24fps.
Thank you so much. It worked well. You are right, nothing beats setting the camera fps high before shooting.
Amazing man, watched few videos and yours is the best one.
Thank GOD I found this video!! You're right, it does have some glitches but will at least give me enough to get by with some smooth clips
Simple and to the point. Just the kind of video i need. Liked and subbed
I knew it - just had to watch because of the awesome beard! Keep up the great work!
Hey Josh. I'm glad that you did this video. But what I always wanted to know is how people get their slow motion 60fps to look just as good as the 24fps cinematic look while staying in slow motion
LOVE YOU , THANK YOU MAN
Love the kc love!
Thanks Josh! This is great
Life saver
Very cool!

Awesome! So glad to help out!
I have Sony a7iii and have Sam’s dilemma
Love the cap. Hope you get more subs soon!

Thank you so much for this. Appreciate it a lot
Glad to help out! Appreciate ya watching
Does it work when you use the time remapping effect as well?
What is the safe timeline settings for 24fps video that enable us to do editing?ex. Slow mo & etc.
Very nice tip. For what I am doing, not sure I really want to go to 60 fps for such short slowmo clips. I'm thinking it might be best for me to just stay @ 24 fps @ use your trick. Very nice Sir!!! Thanks for sharing
This just helped me massively with a client project 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Can I see the project
OH MY GOD
Love me some optical flow!
Definitely! 👊🏻
yea, good shit. Thanks man.
👊🏻
Trick has been inserted into the bag. Thanx
Yes!
thanks . it really works, but when im trying to color the frames using this options it starts to lag so bad,how to fix it !? when im not coloring frames it works tho
Great video man. Please help, I wanted to know, if I instead slowed it down by 80% and used optical flow, would I have a better turn out as far as a dreamy slow mo effect where it doesn’t mess up the quality but still have a decent amount of frames for that 80% slow mo?
Hmm that’s a tough call...
What are you shooting on?
good video. goodman
*_GREAT TIPS BRUH!_*
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Dood totally forgot to shoot in 60 fps on my able 120 Fps camera today, but I’m definitely going to try this tomorrow 🔥🔥🎥! Had to subscribe! Thanks
Awesome!
Very helpful, thank you
So glad to help out!
Thank you !!!! preset timeline video would be really helpful video.
So basically if we had to shoot just once and do the rest in post production we should shoot in 60 or 24 ?
Nice!
🙌🏻😁
This is very very usefull...Thanks a ton
Glad to help!
I wanna ask my device only shot at 30fps and i when i do optical flow on pr then it gives me bubble tife transaction is there any way for me to do smooth transection with that fps on Pr or Ae?
I'm from Kansas City MO as well that was dope to see! Would love to pay for a session to learn hands on If such opportunities exist. Great work
Hi when shooting a model walking thru real estate etc, will it help to shoot 30fps and slow it down to 24fps. Its a sort of a not obvious slow mo to give that slight smooth effect. Is this true and do people use this ? A sort of a semi slow-mo so to speak.
I’ve never done 30fps to 24fps... however that may be just the look you are going for. I’d just test it out
É possível fazer esse efeito usando outro programa?
So if you film in 60 but want it to be more like 220, does this work then?
thanks man
Glad to help!
muchas gracias amigo, me salvaste, grabe a 24fps en algunas escenas que deberían ser a 120fps para cámara lenta. muchas muchas gracias, no hay demasiada información al respecto.
Ya somos dos
Question. Since you dropped a 60fps video in the timeline that’s “ 24fps”. Since you did not convert that 60fps footage to 24. When exporting will that affect anything? Or nothing to worry about?🤔
It won’t effect anything
I have a video that was shot in 59fps but set the timeline at 23.9fps and export at 23.9 but it always looks so jittery after. Any ideas why? it was shot on a CANON 80d which may be the reason switching to A7iii soon.
@@nfxshoots5395 gotta put the 60fps footage to 40% speed. should make it smooth
this video saved my life
Glad to hear!
hey Josh, like your video. thanks for sharing such things. I wanna ask you your intro music what is the name of it I was searching for a long time. please send me the name. thanks in advance.
Literally saved my butt!
Glad to help out! 👊🏻
Nice video. A question if I may. Can I speed ramp 24 fps footage. I've never heard anyone on nRUclips talk about this. Thanks
I’m wondering the same thing
How i can make slow mo video in my mobile camera .. i have Samsung Galaxy a31.
Dude, I have Sony A7c which unable to capture more than 30 fps in 4K and FullHD, and u can record more than 50 fps just in HD resolution, do u know any kinda way to capture 60, 120 fps in FullHD on A7C camera ?
Keep going 💪 ✨️ 👌.. thanks
Would probably help if you’re in a pinch to just do this, export the clip, then import the emergency slow mo into your project.
If recorded in 60 fps and use the flow hack, could I go below 40%?
I had to sub bro this just saved my ass lol
OdomsCounty glad to help out!
Bro you just saved me 🙏🏾
Glad to help out!
This is waaay cool!!! Wonder if Resolve has something similar.
I’ll have to mess with in resolve and see!
@@JoshHanes Hey, did you mess?
@Bob Sacamano Sweet . Thanks 👍
What lut did you use for this video? thanks
I create my own. Have a link in the description 🤙🏻
How to make that preset timeline?:((
I need that! Thank you!
Glad to help out! 👊🏻
I have a problem:
I've shot all my clips in 60 fps. Is there a way I can "sequence" only that clip instead of my whole timeline so that I can lower the 60 fps to 40% and STILL use 60 fps clips (in the same timeline) at normal speed - without stuttering?
If so - how?
Any advice is highly appreciated 🙏
Swe Kiwi you can sequence one clip in a separate project, export and save it, and then add it to the actual project
@@artemtimoshkov8140 that's a huuuge hassle if you have over 50 clips =/
Any other ideas?
So when I shoot 24Fps edit it on a 60fps timeline ?
No. I’d do the opposite if you can
Lol 😆
Good stuff. I wonder which would be better: 60 fps slowmo at 720p upscaled to 1080p or 24fps at 1080p slowed down using optical flow
That is a good question!
I’m not really sure...
@@JoshHanes I'm still rockin my canon 6d so I'll have to test!
2 years later, what did you end up deciding on? Ive got the 6d and just started messing with a bit of video and stumbled across this video
