DevilzDance81 I feel it. I've been crying on and off since I heard the news. I just in the past year discovered a lot of the acoustic he did, the awesome covers. I have been listening to him a lot. I was talking to my dad about how he was one of the originals still alive and making music. I am devastated by his passing.
Sad we will never hear NEW music from this voice....but yet WE MANAGED TO LIVE DURING THE CHRIS CORNELL TIMES......we will continue to ROCK THE WORLD with his music.
What an amazing version! What an unbelievable voice! A once in a life time musician! Chris Cornell deserved to be in the Rock & Roll HOF years ago! A legend in music history! Shame on the people that didn't put Chris or anyone of his great bands in the HOF! Thank you for all of your fantastic music that you gave the world! No one sings like you anymore! Rest easy Chris! Say hello to heaven.
Kai, i am sorry.. i didnt measure.. thats what from i read. Chris was listed among other 4 octave singer. but anyway he had a awesome voice. just listen to his song from their album. i am not a singing teacher just a fan lol!
simplenoise true! the 4 octave bit is found all over God's green Earth, including Wikipedia. I've seen videos demoing his range - death rattling out a D2 and wailing all the way up to a G5 - which is where i think the misunderstanding comes from. Maybe people are counting that D2 as an octave. You know? Going "Ok D2... Thats one... then D3... D4... D5.. and then up to G5... wow that's 4 1/2 octaves!!!" But it's not! That first "octave" is just ONE NOTE haha and certainly by the time of this video his range topped out at a D5. But y'all i don't wanna come off like a critic. Cornell is probably my favorite singer of all time. Just trying to figure out where the 4+ octave quote ever came from :)
Chris Cornell , simply put.....Genius!! A true once in a lifetime talent. Taken way too early and a huge loss to the world. I became a fan after hearing " All Night Thing".......way before it was released on Temple of The Dog. A demo of it was floating around in Van. B.C. I hesrd that vocal and called everyone I knew asking about who it was...!!!!! Before that my staple singers were Halford, Dio, Plant, Coverdale, and a dozen or so more. No disrespect to any of them but Cornell DESTROYED ALL!!!!
Best I can figure is he felt he was slowing down and wanted to end it before anybody noticed. That's the only way I can square his personality with his death
btosky idk the whole thing seems fishy. He didn't really relapse. He was in amazing health for a 52 year old according to the autopsy. It's sad as hell but I refuse to just give in. Something is up.
Dude was unbelievable, but i hate how many accidentals he tries to constantly throw in his live stuff. Obsessed with throwing himself in strange vocal rythms
Chris tried to please you when he was living, you screamed your Drunken and Insults at Him until he pleased you, now his little girls are without their Father, for what, your pleasure? He was in Pain and his closest friends could not see his pain, in his words, he was saying "Would you cry for me".?? I have been wounded by his death, hoping to heal! Stop doing this to our men of faith, or there will be no more! ❤ Pure One - Kathy Lyoness - Sunburst, Starlight -Moonbeam-Speedwelll 💖 the Great Spirit follower! 🙅🎸🎵🌹🙇🙏🎸
Favorite vocalist of all time.
He is really underrated. I think he's right up there with Robert Plant (very different but stunning
vocalists as they are).
Jordan Fackler Your right bro, just one thing, BEST singer of all time!👍
Ed Sheeran, ha, has nothing on Chris when it's just A man & his guitar, not EVEN close.
He had a huge range. And a great guitar player and song writer.
Yep. Him and Plant. I adore them. Such superstars.
His voice has aged like a fine whiskey.
I'll drink to that.
That voice, holy shit. What a gift and talent.
I have been crying/sobbing for 2 days straight. Lost one of the biggest musical inspirations in my life.
Yup we need a time machine fast

DevilzDance81 Mine too, but i believe he was my favorite of all the 90's Seattle bands, and personally my favorite artist period. Rip Chris.

The most underrated musician ever. Miss his voice so much
Just his smile as he breaks into the song makes sad and smile at the same time he just loved music and performing for us God how I’ll miss him
All time favorite song he wrote. Fly high Chris.
Me too.. one of the best songs up there with any Beatles, Zep etc.. imo
I miss this man so damn much! We thank you Chris, for all the music you left us.
I love this song. I was in a physically and verbally abusive marriage for 12 years, and while I'd never hurt anyone, I relish what Chris sings here.
I remember ppl didn't like this album when it came out, but I loved it
it takes you back
...Grande Chris!...I miss you my dear...x
We miss you Chris... "no one sings like you anymore"
Chris Cornell is the Best... he is the Robert Plant for My Generation... Generation X

this is how 4-Octave-Vocal sounds like!
he is awesome singer guys!
simplenoise how are you measuring octaves? I've only heard just over 3 from him, but maybe there are some rare recordings of him I haven't heard...
Kai, i am sorry.. i didnt measure.. thats what from i read. Chris was listed among other 4 octave singer. but anyway he had a awesome voice. just listen to his song from their album. i am not a singing teacher just a fan lol!

His voice is the exact same as it is on the record. RIP Chris Cornell.
RIP Cornell.. I still miss ya buddy. You were a legend when you were alive, so I have to make up a new word to fit, now that you are gone.
I love this acoustic version. I like his acoustic stuff better than the original songs
Miss you man!
I legit tested up to this video, what a monumental loss for music, he was a true talent, sorely missed.

Amazing how he sings and plays the guitar at the same time
Are the 18 who dislike it from the Dumb and Deaf Haters club?
They prefer ed sheeran or bieber instead 😂
