I love how supportive Grime is to Sasha. You can tell they're true friends forged through battle. He gives her all the processing time she needs and he'll support her 100%.
2:54 - Amphibiland was the name of the show when they made the pilot; that was definitely a drop for hardcore fans from Anne's dad. Also, Anne's mom is played by Matt Braly's real mom!
Goddd that moment with Anne’s dad and the Plantars in the cat sitting episode… the VA work plus the music choice here and framing of the shots always makes me so misty eyed. It’s little moments like this that- despite the subdued reaction to Anne returning in ep 1- really push home just how long she was gone from them and how genuinely grateful they are to the Plantars for their help in keeping her alive
Part of why Sprig is so desperate to impress Anne's mom is because he doesn't remember his own mother, while he has always had Hop Pop as a father figure he's basically latched on to Anne's mom as a mother figure which is really sad and sweet. Also yes that moment with Anne's dad is very sweet and always makes me tear up a bit.
The food truck neckbeard whose name I've already forgotten is wearing a Romance Academy 7 shirt, which is the game where GIFfany lived in Gravity Falls.

That gag with the TV being handed across the balcony was done in Gravity Falls with glass pretty early on. It was when they were looking for the gobblewonker. Couple of guys on the lake were in separate boats and were carrying a pane of glass.
A great couple of eps, I love the earth as a setting. Bunch of highlights here, Anne showing how much progress she's made, seeing the Plantars adapt to earth the way Anne did in Amphibia, Sasha finally realizing that her actions have consequences and vowing to change her ways (and Grime deciding to stand by her side), and the moment between Mr Boonchuy and the Plantars is so sweet, I love his last line "you will never owe us anything, ever.", it's so full of gratefulness.

the beginning of the end! It's been such a ride with you going from Gravity Falls to Owl House and finally Amphibia, as always so glad to be along with you through it!
I recently watched the third season in preparation for this, and let me tell you: you're in for a treat
Well, it happened - after two whole seasons we finally have Anne wearing both shoes and without leaves and twigs in her hair!😀 Definitely worth poor Marcy's sacrifice... Also, Anne has a really good and loving parents and we can see it right by the first scene where they just hug her returned daughter without any yelling or promises of future punishments. And the words of Mr Boonchuy in S3x3 prove it once again. As for Sprig - Mrs Boonchuy is the first true mother figure that he has had in five years so he can be at least partially excused. And of course it's nice to see that Sasha's redemption arc that began in S2 finally coming to a conclusion
Sasha wasn't certain if Marcy would live or die and as far as she knows Anne hates her. Her need to be in control all the time was partly to blame for this. If that level of loss doesn't make her feel anything then there would be no hope for her so it was great Sasha finally realized just how horrible she was and is starting to change. Although Sprig was a little overly annoying he also lost his own mother at a very young age. He may have been trying so hard to be part of the family and impress Mrs. Boonchuy cause he never had that chance with his own mother. Also Mrs. Boonchuy is voiced by Matt Braly's mother (including the flashbacks with Mrs. Boonchuy in Season 1 and 2).
A new adventure begins. Also, 3 episodes?! That's basically 5 parts! :O
So what comes next?
Might I suggest maybe solving a mystery? Or rewriting history?
And HP was green because of chlorine in the fountain.

Sure someone else has already pointed this out, but frogs don't do well in chlorine which was in the fountain. 👌🏽
Fun fact: amphibia season three had 18 episodes instead of 20 from the previous two seasons

@@MrMemelord00I have a general idea of how hard it is to work on a farm. Would I want to? No. But if Hop pop is asking, I'd begrudgingly do so because he's a sweet and honest frog. Anne faked being sick just to get out of work, so I think she deserves a bit of sarcasm at the least. I'm talking about season one though, not the Anne we've grown to love in season two and three.
@@Zer0d00d but you also gotta think that for all but mostly all of season 1 they treated her like actual trash as well as the fact she learned how to drive the snail in season
Little things that were likely to happen off screen in canon but I'm just cartoon junky it's about all I invest watch hours into besides youtube
11:40 you know her parents never reporting their 13 year old daughter as missing when she disappears for 5 months is probably one of the most confusing things about this show
They did report her missing, there was a police search and everything, but they eventually gave up since no trace of them were found.

@@bentheshirt8681 Temple Frogs tells us that the Thai community was taking care of Anne's family whole she was gone and it shows us that the school news reporters were taking photos of Anne because she had gone missing. Marcy's Journal talks about it the most though. There are also the numerous interactions Anne has in season 3A where she has to give an excuse on why she disappeared. I don't recall the show mentioning anything about the police searching for her, but Marcy's Journal tells us things like they never made it known Anne returned because they didn't want Marcy or Sasha's parents to call the police in them since their daughters were still missing.
@@fnaffoxy1987 that episode just says the Thai people helped the parents. So the police investigation is from the journal if one happened
@@bentheshirt8681 It established that her being missing was widely known, which itself would imply an investigation happened since you don't just have that many people know someone is missing and not one wants to even try and find her.
I like the first episode, the Sasha episode and the moment between the Plantars and Anne's father. But episodes 2a and mostly 3 aren't that great in my opinion, and there are too many of those in the season as a whole which is one of the reasons I prefer season 2.
My favorite of the big 3 Disney shows. GF number 2. I think The Owl House is overrated, but the two others are amazing!
I actually prefer the Season 1 and Season 2 outros. I'm a sucker for good folk music and bluegrass 🪕
